Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement a faculty attendance system based on geolocation, utilizing GPS technology for automatic recording of faculty attendance. This system is expected to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the attendance process, as well as facilitate the management of faculty attendance data by administrators. The method used in this research is the prototype development method, which allows for iterative system development based on user feedback. The system development process includes needs identification, prototype design, development of the geolocation-based attendance application, system testing, as well as revisions and improvements to the prototype. The results of initial testing indicate that this attendance system successfully records faculty attendance time and location accurately using GPS technology, while also enabling administrators to monitor attendance reports in real-time. This research is expected to contribute to the utilization of geolocation technology to improve academic administration efficiency and provide practical solutions in managing faculty attendance in higher education institutions.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a major impact on many aspects of life, including higher education. Bhayangkara University faces various challenges related to cybersecurity such as the risk of phishing, malware, ransomware, and data leaks that can disrupt academic and administrative systems. The purpose of this study was to assess how aware and knowledgeable students are about cybersecurity issues, recognize existing threats, and provide strategic suggestions to improve data protection in the campus area. The study involved 40 participants from Informatics majors at Bhayangkara University through a questionnaire. The findings show that the majority of students have a high awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, although there are still shortcomings in the implementation of best practices, such as the use of strong passwords and verification of email authenticity. This study suggests implementing measures such as periodic training, strengthening digital systems, and creating campus policies to comprehensively improve cybersecurity. The results of this study are expected to assist in the development of more effective digital security policies in higher education institutions.

Abstract

Abstract: Implementing a security management strategy is essential to ensure the security of electronic transactions, particularly in the use of digital wallets. E-wallets have become one of the most popular solutions for conducting online transactions, but they are often vulnerable to cyber-attacks and identity theft. This paper aims to examine security management strategies and practices that can be used to strengthen user protection in e-wallet transactions. The methods applied include literature review and data collection to identify security threats often faced by e-wallet users and mitigation measures that can be taken to reduce these risks. The strategies discussed include data encryption, double authentication, suspicious transaction monitoring, and user training on digital security practices. It is expected that the understanding and implementation of these security management practices will provide better protection for e-wallet users and increase their confidence in utilizing electronic transaction services.
