Abstract

This study examined principals' human resource management practices and their impact on goal achievement in private secondary schools in Kwara State. Guided by three purposes, two research questions, and one hypothesis, a descriptive survey of a correctional type was used. The population included 5,784 teachers from 255 private senior secondary schools in Kwara State, per the 2019/2020 Kwara State School Census Report. A sample of 180 respondents, including teachers and principals, was selected. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire titled “Principal's Human Resources Management Practices and Goal Achievement Questionnaire” (PHRMPGAQ), based on a 4-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, were used to answer the research questions, while the hypothesis was tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation at a 0.05 significance level. Three experts from the Department of Education Management and Counselling at Al-Hikmah University validated the instrument, and reliability was confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.82 and 0.84. Findings indicated a high level of principals' human resource management practices in these schools and a significant relationship between these practices and goal achievement. It is recommended that principals regularly evaluate recruitment, training, appraisal, and promotion practices to ensure they effectively support the continuous achievement of educational goals.

Abstract

The vast number of languages in the world enables individuals to master more than one language. Bilinguals and multilingual often blend the languages they know in daily interactions. This phenomenon, known as code-switching and code-mixing, reflects the dynamic nature of multilingual communication. Observations conducted at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Blitar involving multilingual teachers and students revealed distinct patterns: code-switching frequently occurs due to changes in conversational contexts or topics while code-mixing stems from habitual practices developed during first language acquisition. This study provides valuable insights into the linguistic behaviours of multilingual speakers and the factors influencing their language use.

Abstract

Penerapan pendidikan yang dilakukan secara formal maupun informal disusun secara terencana dan sistematis dengan acuan konsep serta landasan perundang-undangan. Landasan hukum ataupun undang-undang pendidikan merupakan seperangkat ketentuan serta peraturan konseptual yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan. Perkembangan teknologi di era digital memberikan dampak perubahan berbagai sektor pendidikan dan kebudayaan bagi bangsa Indonesia. Pasal 32 UUD 1945 pada ayat (1) dan (2) menunjukkan bahwa pemajuan budaya nasional suatu bangsa dengan memberikan kebebasan terhadap rakyat untuk mengembangkannya dan negara dengan memelihara dan menghormati bahasa daerah sebagai bagian dari kebudayaan nasional. Pergeseran moral bukan hanya menjadi tanggung jawab pendidik namun pera orang tua serta lingkuungan juga menentukan perilaku seorang anak atau peserta didik. Maka dari ditu, dibutuhkan kontribusi dari berbagai pihak untuk mengatasi masalah generasi demi mendapatkan generasi yang berbudi luhur

Abstract

The Indonesian education system demands the use of the national language in formal situations, posing a dilemma in Blitar schools where teachers and students typically utilize Blitar Javanese alongside Indonesian. This study analyzes the reasons underlying this linguistic choice in classroom interactions using a qualitative single-case study design. Twelve self-selected instructors participated in two weeks of online interviews during COVID-19 to gather data. The results highlight the importance of Blitar Javanese in conserving local knowledge and show that it promotes comfortable and active communication in classroom environments. This study emphasizes methods for preserving regional linguistic history in educational settings while utilizing language effectively

Abstract

Profil Pelajar Pancasila merupakan program yang di buat oleh kemdikbud untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter di indoesia. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1). mengetahui bagaimana implementasi Profil Pelajar Pancasila, 2). mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan desain penelitian.. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini mengunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu: Reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan subjek siswa kelas 7 SMP Islam Baabussalaam. Sebanyak 7 siswa laku-laki dan 6 siswi perempuan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan karakter dan kompetensi skill peserta didik disatuan pendidikan sesuai dengan 6 karakter Pofil pelajar Pancasila sebagai berikut: Beriman dan bertaqwa kepada tuhan yang maha esa dan berahlak mulia, berkhebinekaan global, gontong royong, mandiri, kreatif dan bernalar kritis.
