The use of learning media will facilitate teachers and students in the English learning process. One of the learning media that can be used is Wordwall. This research aims to develop materials using learning media based on the Wordwall Website and analyze the development results related to its suitability for vocabulary teaching. The subjects of this study were students of grade 10-2 at Madrasah Aliyah Sirojut Tholibin. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method. The development model used in this research was ADDIE which consists of five steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the development process, there was the involvement of instrument experts, product experts, and material experts before the media was tested on students. Each result provided by the expert was used as material for improvement. The validation results from instrument experts amounted to 80%, product experts 90%, and material experts 78%. It means that the learning media developed is "valid" to be tested on students as learning media. After the trial process, students gave responses with an average percentage of 84.3%. It means that the media is also "valid" to be used to help improve their vocabulary and learning motivation in English lessons.

Abstract

IntroductionWage trading, a practice where agricultural workers sell their future wages before receiving them—often at a reduced value—has become prevalent in the farming communities of Curup, Bengkulu. Although rooted in mutual agreement, this system raises critical ethical and legal questions regarding its alignment with Islamic economic principles, especially those outlined in the framework of Maqashid Shariah, which emphasizes justice and the protection of property.ObjectivesThis study aims to analyze the wage sale and purchase system through the lens of Maqashid Shariah, particularly focusing on whether such practices fulfill the objectives of wealth protection and social justice or contribute to economic exploitation and uncertainty among vulnerable workers.MethodUsing a qualitative case study approach, this research collected primary data through interviews with agricultural workers engaged in wage trading in Curup, Rejang Lebong, and Bengkulu. Secondary data were obtained from Islamic jurisprudence literature on Maqashid Shariah. The analysis applies the five core principles of Maqashid Shariah to evaluate the implications of deferred wage payments and wage sales.ResultsFindings indicate that although wage deferral is seen as a cooperative tradition, it often places workers at risk of financial instability, compelling them to sell their wages at unfair prices. This practice undermines the principle of property protection (hifz al-mal) and the protection of life (hifz an-nafs). It also contradicts the ideals of justice and welfare that Maqashid Shariah promotes. The study emphasizes that the presence of mutual consent does not automatically legitimize practices that may harm the economically disadvantaged.ImplicationsThe analysis suggests that reforms are needed to make wage systems more just and compliant with Islamic economic values. These include timely wage payments and the provision of Sharia-based financial alternatives to prevent exploitation. Educating communities about their economic rights within the Maqashid framework can also foster more ethical labor practices.Originality/NoveltyThis study contributes a unique perspective by applying Maqashid Shariah to assess the socio-economic impact of wage trading. It addresses a rarely examined issue in Islamic economic discourse and offers practical recommendations to bridge the gap between traditional practices and Islamic legal objectives.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing engaging learning media to teach speaking skills to eighth-grade students at MTs Durriyyatina. Traditional English teaching methods often fail to engage students and encourage active speaking, resulting in limited progress. To address this issue, the study introduces the Taboo game as a language learning tool. The game helps with vocabulary mastery, boosts speaking confidence, and encourages active participation. An R&D approach, including a trial with 24 students, was used to assess the effectiveness of the game. Results showed that the Taboo game significantly improved learning, with a questionnaire score of 89.3%, categorized as very valid. The evaluation indicated that the game is a highly effective teaching medium. This research demonstrates that interactive games like Taboo can enhance students' speaking skills and create a more engaging learning environment. This approach is in line with modern education trends that emphasize interactive, student-centered learning. In conclusion, the Taboo game is an effective solution for teaching speaking skills and increasing student motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate an interactive video as a learning media to teach students' English-speaking skills. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In the analysis stage, classroom observations and student questionnaires were conducted to identify learning needs. Based on the findings, the design stage involved determining the appropriate interactive video content, creating scripts, and structuring the video. The development stage included video editing using CapCut, followed by expert validation. The results showed high validity scores: instrument validation (92.5%), media validation (87.5%), and material validation (92.5%), all categorized as "very valid." During implementation, pretests and post-tests were conducted, revealing a 10% increase in students' speaking performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of the interactive video. Finally, in the evaluation stage, a student satisfaction questionnaire resulted in an 80% score, categorized as "very feasible." These findings indicate that the developed interactive video is a valid, feasible, and effective tool for improving students' English-speaking skills.

Abstract

The word “yad” in the Qur'an contains the essential meaning (hand) and the meaning of majaz (power, degree, benevolence, and many other meanings of majaz). From the true meaning (hand), some interpret the palm and some interpret it with the fingertips to the shoulders. In the Qur'an, Allah conveys the word “yad” with muqoyyad (restricted) and sometimes with mutlaq (showing the meaning of the essence without being restricted). The word “yad” which is muqoyyad can be understood immediately, but the word absolute yad will give rise to multiple interpretations from the Mujtahids in producing fiqh laws. This study leads to the word “yad” in the verses of mutlaq, especially the chapter on Tayamum and the law of cutting off hands for thieves. The method used in writing this journal is a qualitative method with steps to prioritize literature studies commonly called library research. This study aims to find out the manhaj/formulation of the Mujtahids in producing the law and its postulates as well as the differences in the law produced by the approach of the theory of mutlaq muqoyyad. It is hoped that this research can add insight into the verses of the Qur'an that are mutlaq and muqoyyad, maintain the procedures of Mujtahid in producing fiqh laws from verses that are mutlaq and add to the scientific treasures by knowing the khilafiyyah / differences of scholars in the problem of fiqh branches.
