Abstract

Stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) is a substantial challenge in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. This stigma perpetuates myths and results in discriminatory treatment, hindering care, support, and treatment of PLWHA, leading to negative physical, psychological and social consequences. The management of the Medan Plus Foundation HIV Division is working diligently to eliminate PLWHA stigma and discrimination. This study centres on the management's role in attaining the objective. Descriptive research methods using a qualitative approach are employed in the research methodology, incorporating observation, documentation, and purposively chosen informant interviews for primary data collection. The use of secondary data collection techniques supports the primary data and achievement of research objectives. The study shows that the HIV Division Management of the Medan Plus Foundation plays a crucial role in fighting stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This is achieved through outreach, support, the establishment and enhancement of peer support groups, network development, socialisation, and advocacy.

Abstract

Film is one of the effective mass communication media in disseminating information that aims to convey messages to audiences that are shown in a story and then packaged with audio visuals. In conveying the message, a translation is needed, which shows that changing the grammatical form of the source language into the target language is an important part of translation in general. This study aims to find out what translation techniques are used by the translator to translate speech acts in quarreling speech events and to describe their impact on the shift in translation of speech acts in the movie Ip Man 4. This research uses descriptive method, which is a research method conducted by describing the object of research as it is with Translation Techniques that represent speech acts in quarreling speech events in Indonesian subtitles in Ip Man 4 movie. The Translation Techniques used by the translators to translate the speech acts. The result shows that the translator uses 13 translation techniques including modulation (25), literal (23), compensation (20), amplification (18), linguistic compression (8), adaptation (7), transposition (6), reduction (4), borrowing (3), variation (3), substitution (2), generalization (2), calcification (1). The dominant translation technique used is modulation translation technique. This is because the translation technique is applied by changing the point of view, focus or cognitive category in relation to the BSu. The change of viewpoint can be lexical or structural.

Abstract

This action research is based on the background of low response and low score on English learning outcome in home learning situation. This research is aimed to know and to explain the students’ reading ability of procedure text through blended learning assested google classroom. The participants were 36 students selected by purposes technique. This reseach instruments were test and non test. The test instrument consisted about procedure text, in multiple choise test. The non test was observation paper. The procedure of collecting data used google classroom dan observation was done by using observation paper/ check list. Analizing data was done by simple statistic, that is the percentage from accumulation of students’ achievement score and followed by observing result interprestation from the students’ activities. The result of this reseach on 1 st cycle showed that the percentage students’ who achieved minimal criteria was 25%, The 2nd cycle achieved 94,4%. Based on the result it can be concluded that teaching and learning using blended learning assested google classroom can increase the students’ reading ability on the middle level. Thus, Basen the achieved result, it can be suggested to teachers, students, reaseacher to read this result of the research and to analyzing deeply through futher reseach.

Abstract

Based on the observation of history learning activities in class X TKR 5 SMK ISLAM 1 KOTA BLITAR, several interesting findings were revealed. First, the students of class X TKR 5 have high interest and motivation in learning. This can be seen from their activeness in answering questions and their enthusiasm for the tasks given by the teacher. Second, the students already have the ability to think critically and think high-level. This can be seen from the results of the work they have done, including problem solving activities (discussions) and information exchange (presentations). However, it turns out that there is one ability that has not been fully developed in this class. That ability is creative thinking. The ability to think creatively is very important in history learning so that students can create new and original ideas. These new and original ideas are useful for them in responding to historical learning materials and phenomena of everyday life that require analysis of thoughts from various perspectives. Therefore, this study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills in history subjects. The learning model used to improve these abilities is Project Based Learning. The data collection technique in this study used observation, while the instrument in this study used the students' creative thinking ability sheet. The results of this study indicate that Project Based Learning is proven to be able to improve students' creative thinking skills in history subjects. This can be seen in the acquisition of the percentage score of creative thinking skills which continues to increase starting from learning cycle I to learning cycle II. The percentage score in the first cycle of learning reached 74% in the "enough" category, while the percentage score in the second cycle of learning reached 84% in the "good" category. Based on this information, there was an increase in students' creative thinking skills by 10%.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the increasing activeness of students learning in mathematic through the media of Augmented Reality (AR) in geometry subjects. This study is a class action study with the research subjects of grade VI students SD Inpres Bisara as many as 22 people. This research was conducted 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. At each meeting consists of 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used include interviews and observations. Based on the results of the study, in cycle I obtained an average student learning activity of 66% with enough categories. while in cycle II, the average learning activity of students is 81.2% with a high category. Thus, from cycle I and cycle II there was a 14.06% increase in student activity. thus it can be concluded that through the media of Augmented Reality (AR) can increase the active learning of grade VI students of SD Inpres Bisara towards geometry lessons.

Abstract

Problem in this research is SD Negeri 1 Pinang Jaya low result of thematic learning. Purpose of the research is to increase the result of thematic learning of student class 4B by using problem based learning model. Research type used in this research is class action research with every cycle consist of : planning, actuating, observing and reflection. Data collected in this research using observation sheet and formatif test questionnaire. Data collection Technique use in this research is non test and test technique. Data analytic technique using qualitative and quantitative. Result of this research show that problem based learning could improve study result of the students. Percentage of affective learning cycle 1 get good enough category, and in cycle 2 become better, and on cycle 3 get good result. Completeness of affective stidy result cycle 1 get good enough, cycle 2 good enough, cycle 3 excellent. Student psikomotor study result cycle 1 get skilled enough, cycle 2 skilled enough, cycle 3 very skilled. Average result of kognitif study cycle 1 show high enough result, cycle 2 high enough and very high on cycle 3.

Abstract

The background of this research is the the weakness of history educators in maxime creativity, and use of internet technology, especially the E-Learning application as a learning medium, especially history learning in the classroom. The use of information technology in distance education learning during this pandemic is very important, because learning is currently done online. The purpose of this journal is to find out the learning outcomes of students by using the Kahoot application in history learning. The existence of the Kahoot learning media is expected to be one way to improve students' historical thinking skills and can erode the impression of boring, monotone, uninteresting, rigid, just like that and with good learning outcomes. Kahoot is an online evaluation tool as an enrichment in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to obtain learning outcomes using an android-based quiz with the Kahoot application in the classroom with the material for the Indonesian Nation's Struggle in Maintaining the Integration of the Indonesian Nation in Maintaining the Integration of the Nation and the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Thus, the obtained data shows that the implementation of reciprocal teaching method is able to increase students’ enthusiasm and learning success in basic competence of creating companies’ working sheet at XI.111.3 class of SMK PGRI 2 Nganjuk. Based on the result of the research, the researcher suggests several things as follows: 1) Teachers should manage their time carefully when implementing reciprocal teaching method because it is time- consuming. Even though students tend to be dominant during teaching and learning processes, teachers should always be the most main facilitators. 2) Reciprocal teaching method should be practiced and developed well as one of alternative ways in teaching accounting to increase students’ enthusiasm and learning success. Increasing students’ ability in learning basic competence of creating companies’ working sheet by implementing Reciprocal Teaching Method at XI.111.3 class of SMK PGRI 2 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2019-202. Some internal and external factors determine students’ accomplishment in achieving learning success standards. Internal factors, which emerge from students’ awareness, plays an important role in determining learning success. While, external factors, which support students’ learning success can come from family’s atmosphere, school environment, and another wider society. This research discusses one of those external factors, that is, a teaching method that comes from school environment. Researcher implements reciprocal teaching method during teaching and learning processes. The method gives students a chance to obtain intra-group guidance and cooperate in understanding teaching materials and to gain students’ self-understanding. The statement of the problem in this research is how are the XI.111.3 students of SMK PGRI 2 Nganjuk’s activities and the result of their study during and after learning to create companies’ working sheet with reciprocal teaching method? This research uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Learning success is 0% at the stage of pre-cycle. While at the first cycle, learning success is 32%. The average score of the teacher’ capability in managing the class is 4.5. The students’ enthusiasm of individual learning is 3.8. While their enthusiasm of group learning is 4.8. In the second cycle, learning success is at 32%. The average score of the teacher’ capability in managing the class is 6.4. The students’ enthusiasm of individual learning is 4.9. While, their enthusiasm of group learning is 5.25.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension skills through the SQ3R method in the 2020/2021 school year. The research carried out was classroom action research (PTK). This classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles with two meetings for each cycle. Each cycle consists of 4 stages including: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted online and offline with 23 students as research subjects. The independent variable is the SQ3R method and the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The research instruments were tests, observations, documentation. The analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of students' reading ability in the pre-cycle with an average of 55.17 increased 18.52% to 65.39 in the first cycle, an increase of 13.13% to 78.52 in the second cycle. These results indicate that the SQ3R method has improved.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the lack of students learning activity of the 7th grade students of SDN 1 Srikaton, Seputih Surabaya District, Central Lampung Regency. The purpose of this study is to increase student learning activities by applying the Discovery Learning model. The type of research used is classroom action research which consists of three cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The data collection used an instrument of observing student and teacher activities which contained 18 indicators of success. The results showed that in the first cycle there were still 6 indicators of student success that had not been seen. In the second cycle there has been an increase but there are still 3 indicators of success that have not been seen. In the third cycle, all indicators of success have been seen, it is proven that most of the students have implemented 18 indicators of success.
