Abstract

This study aims to assess students' understanding in Catholic Religious Education using audiovisual media at Sekolah Dasar Inpres Perawea. The research also seeks to optimize the use of audiovisual media in enhancing students' knowledge of Catholicism and improving teachers' professionalism in delivering effective and efficient lessons. The research employed a quantitative method with an experimental design. Data were collected through comprehension tests, observations, and interviews, and were analyzed statistically. The findings indicate that the use of audiovisual media significantly enhances students' comprehension of the Catholic Religious Education material. Students who learned with audiovisual media demonstrated higher absorption of the subject matter compared to those who learned without it. Additionally, the use of audiovisual media helped teachers present complex material more clearly and engagingly, thus supporting the achievement of educational goals more effectively. In conclusion, audiovisual media is an effective tool for improving students' understanding of Catholic Religious Education at Sekolah Dasar Inpres Perawea. The use of this media not only benefits students but also enhances teachers' professionalism in teaching. Therefore, optimizing the use of audiovisual media in the classroom is recommended to improve the quality of education at the school.

Abstract

This study aims to improve teacher performance at SDK Ngorabolo through the implementation of academic supervision by the principal. Optimal teacher performance is a key factor in the success of the learning process and the achievement of student learning outcomes. Academic supervision, as part of educational management, plays a crucial role in the professional development of teachers by providing necessary guidance, feedback, and support to enhance teaching quality. The research method used is School Action Research (SAR), which involves cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles, focusing on classroom observation, feedback provision, and the development of performance enhancement strategies. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with teachers, and analysis of documents related to lesson plans and student learning outcomes. The results indicate that systematic and continuous academic supervision can significantly improve teacher performance. Assessments showed improvements in several aspects, including lesson planning, classroom management, teaching techniques, and the use of media and learning resources. Teachers demonstrated increased motivation and student engagement as a result of the guidance and feedback provided. The conclusion of this study is that academic supervision by the principal can effectively enhance teacher performance and, ultimately, contribute to the improvement of the quality of education at the school. This study recommends that academic supervision be applied routinely and systematically, involving various aspects of teaching to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Speaking and listening skills are fundamental competencies that are crucial for the academic and social development of elementary school students. At the 2nd grade level, the development of these skills serves as an essential foundation for more complex communication abilities in the future. This study aims to address the challenges in developing these skills by implementing active learning strategies.This research utilizes a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with a cyclical design consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are 2nd grade students at SDK Jerebuu, who are divided into small groups to engage in speaking and listening activities through role-playing and group discussions. Data is collected through speaking and listening tests, student and teacher feedback questionnaires, and field notes during the learning process.The implementation of active learning strategies shows a significant improvement in students' speaking and listening skills. The average speaking test score increased from 65 to 80, and the listening test score improved from 70 to 85. Feedback questionnaires indicate that most students feel more confident speaking in front of the class and better at listening to their peers. Teacher feedback suggests that the strategy is effective in enhancing student engagement and communication skills, although challenges related to time constraints and varying student abilities were noted.Active learning strategies, including role-playing and group discussions, are effective in improving speaking and listening skills among 2nd grade students. These activities not only boost students' confidence but also facilitate better engagement in the learning process. This research suggests the use of similar strategies in other educational contexts to enhance students' communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student achievement through the collaboration of the Jigsaw Learning Model with Mind Mapping in social studies subjects. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which consists of 2 cycles, each cycle is carried out in 2 meetings. Stages of Classroom Action Research consist of four steps, namely action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection on the results of the action. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIA social studies subjects at MTsN 2 Mojokerto, totaling 31 students. The research approach used was qualitative and the data were analyzed descriptively. In this study, the data collection method was through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the increase in student achievement is indicated by an increase in the average value of student achievement in both the pre-test and post-test. It is known that the average test score of students in the first cycle before the application of collaborative Jigsaw learning with Mind Mapping was 50 with the highest score of 65 and none of the 31 students had completed learning (Score ? 75). After implementing the Jigsaw Learning Collaboration Model with Mind Mapping, the average score of students increased to 70.65 with the highest score of 85 and the number of students who completed learning (Score ? 75) as many as 13 students. While in the second cycle the average test score of students before the application of Jigsaw learning collaboration with Mind Mapping was 75 with the highest score of 80 and the number of students who completed learning (Score ? 75) were 21 students. After applying Jigsaw learning collaboration with Mind Mapping, the average score of students increased to 90 with the highest score of 100 and the number of students who finished learning (Score ? 75) was 31 students or the total number of students who attended had completed learning.

Abstract

This research aims to optimization of interest in learning of students learning in online learning through the 3M technique in local wisdom materials. This study is a class action study with the research subjects of grade XII students IBB SMAN 1 Bangil as many as 76 people. This research was conducted 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. At each meeting consists of 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used include interviews and observations. Based on the results of the study, in cycle I obtained an average student learning activity of 65.63% with enough categories. while in cycle II, the average learning activity of students is 79.69% with a high category. Thus, from cycle I and cycle II there was a 14.06% increase in student activity. thus it can be concluded that through the 3M technique can increase the active learning of grade XII students of SMAn 1 Bangil towards Anthropology lessons, especially local wisdom materials in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic.

This study is a class action study with the research subjects of grade IX students MTs N 2 Mojokerto as many as 30 people. This research was conducted 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. At each meeting consists of 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used include interviews and observations. Based on the results of the study, in cycle I obtained an average student learning activity of 65.63% with enough categories. while in cycle II, the average learning activity of students is 79.69% with a high category. Thus, from cycle I and cycle II there was a 14.06% increase in student activity. thus it can be concluded that through the board games can increase the active learning of grade IX students of MTs N 2 Mojokerto towards English speaking skills, especially advertisement text materials in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Mastery of English Vocabulary is a competency that must be possessed by grade XI Vocational High School. However, the reality in the field shows the level of mastery of English vocabulary in XI grade of SMK Tunas Harapan is still low. Based on these conditions, the purpose of this study is to improve English vocabulary by using invitation card . This research uses Classroom Action Research techniques. Classroom Action research procedures was conducted implementation, observation, and reflection. The implementation of the action is carried out in two cycles. The research subjects of grade XI TKJ 3 students of SMK Tunas Harapan semester 1that consis of 44 students. It’s data collection techniques are observations, interviews, and tests. The results showed the use invitation card can improve the mastery of English vocabulary of XI SMK.

Abstract

Increasing Students English Speaking Skills Through Discovery learning in the Fourth Grade of SDIT Citra Az Zahra. This research aims to: 1) design the lesson planning, 2) analyse learning implementation, 3) analyse the increasing of students speaking skills score by using discovery learning method. The subject is the Fourth grade of SDIT Citra Az Zahra students and there are 24 students. This research is classroom action research that consists of three cycles. Discovery learning cycle I the students make a group for discussing about dialogue formal and informal in daily activities using phone. Discovery learning cycle II the students make a role reversal. Discovery learning cycle III the students make a dialogue with the correct order and role reversal with the group. Data were collected using observation and tests, and the qualitative descriptive analysis was then used to analyse the collected data. Results of this study shows that: 1) learning planning design is in accordance to the students characteristic in which students speaking skills are low and they are not active in speaking English , 2) learning process by using Discovery learning has increased students activities in learning through observing the objects, observing the action, using the various of vocabularies, giving command, accuracy and speed of carrying out the instructions and asking question activity, 3) the assessment instrument use oral practice, essay test, and description test with a validity value of 0.853, a reliability value of 0.99, average difficulty level of items value of 62,50, and a well acceptable discrimination power of items value of 0,669, 4) the improvement of the speaking abilities can be seen from various aspects: comprehension, fluency, pronunciation, and vocabulary in the first cycle 22,73%, the second cycle 54,54% and the third cycle 81,81%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes with the application of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL). The teacher said that the purpose, main points of learning, carry out group discussions, exercises, give the motivation to learn and a conclusion on the matter of Personal Letter of students of class XI SMK Prima Wisata Jakarta. This research is a classroom action research held in 2 cycles. Each cycle is carried out 2 times the meeting began with the stages of action planning, implementation of action model Problem Based Learning (PBL), and reflection. Method of data collection is done by observation/observation. Data analysis was performed by the comparison between the results of the test in cycle 1 and cycle 2 with the techniques of descriptive. the meaning of the data obtained in this study serve as is then in the descriptive analysis to get an overview of the facts and describe in accordance with the phenomenon. While to measure the learning achievement of students using the system average grade in the results of the evaluation of each cycle. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students of class XI SMK Prima Wisata Jakarta has increased. Cycle I and II (90.26%). The results in cycle II showed that the learning of writing a personal letter by using the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on students of class XI SMK Prima Wisata Jakarta goes well and reach the target of mastery in the study of action of this class.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Waringinkurung with the aim of describing the application of the flipped classroom learning method to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic to increase the learning activities of class XI IPA 1 students on rigid body equilibrium material. The problem that became the background of this research was that the online learning method used during the Covid-19 pandemic was still teacher-centered. The activeness of students in the learning process is still not optimal because students are more inclined to listen and take notes, rarely express their opinions. Discussions between groups are also rarely carried out so that interaction and communication between students and with teachers is still not optimal. This type of research is classroom action research with research subjects consisting of 32 students. Collecting research data using observation methods, student questionnaires, quizzes, and documentation. The research implementation by applying the flipped classroom learning method was carried out in two cycles. In the pre-cycle, the score of student learning activities was 41.25%, cycle 1 was 53.74% and cycle 2 was 83.25%. The results of this study indicate that the use of the flipped classroom learning method in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic can increase the learning activities of class XI IPA 1 students at SMAN 1 Waringinkurung for the 2021/2022 academic year.
