Abstract

This study examines various challenges facing Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in improving the quality of student learning. The study focuses on the application of technology-based learning media, students' socioeconomic status, the use of group discussion methods, and the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka) to improve students' civics knowledge. The study was conducted using a literature review method, examining various journals and scientific articles from the past five years. The study found that PPKn learning still faces various obstacles, such as low student motivation, limited use of engaging media, and suboptimal implementation of participatory learning. Conversely, the use of digital media and group discussion techniques is considered to increase student participation and critical thinking skills. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum also has a positive impact because it focuses more on strengthening students' character and learning experiences. Therefore, collaboration between teachers, schools, and the government is crucial for improving PPKn learning and better aligning it with students' current needs.

Abstract

The rise of social media has introduced notable transformations in the ways Generation Z communicates and behaves socially. This cohort has been raised within a digital landscape, which has turned social media into a platform for not just entertainment, but also for interaction, searching for information, education, expressing oneself, and forming social identities. This research seeks to explore how social media usage influences the social conduct of Generation Z through the lens of digital literacy. The approach taken is a literature review utilizing a qualitative method, involving the gathering and examination of pertinent materials, including academic journals, articles, and earlier research results. The findings reveal that social media has beneficial effects, such as facilitating communication, expanding social networks, enhancing creativity, and promoting involvement in online environments. On the flip side, overusing social media can result in adverse effects such as diminished in-person communication, reliance on digital platforms, a desire for social approval, and susceptibility to false information and scams. Consequently, fostering digital literacy is crucial for empowering Generation Z to engage with social media in a critical, thoughtful, safe, and responsible manner.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has changed the way students obtain, process, and disseminate information in their daily lives. These changes present various challenges, including the spread of misinformation, the increase in viral content, and the emergence of a culture of showing off, which can influence students' attitudes and behavior in the digital age. This study aims to analyze the role of digital literacy in shaping students' civic attitudes in addressing these phenomena. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation conducted with students who actively use social media. The results indicate that digital literacy skills play a role in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in evaluating information, verifying facts, and using social media more responsibly. Students with strong digital literacy skills tend to be more resistant to fake news, unverified information, or exaggerated lifestyles displayed on social media. Consequently, improving digital literacy is a crucial factor in developing responsible students with critical thinking skills who are able to contribute to a positive and healthy digital environment.

Abstract

Globalization presents both opportunities and challenges for preserving local culture and raising environmental awareness. Rapid technological development and information flows can shift cultural values, weaken local wisdom, and encourage consumerist lifestyles that reduce environmental attention. Conversely, digital technology and social media offer tools to support cultural preservation, engage youth, and expand environmental education. Key strategies include environmental outreach, character-based education, implementing the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and collaboration among government, communities, cultural groups, and youth. Flexible and sustainable approaches are needed to maintain cultural identity and foster environmental awareness amid globalization.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technologies have increased the use of social media platforms as a tool for interacting and sharing information. However, this convenience has also been accompanied by the emergence of various types of cybercrime, including cyberbullying. The low level of digital understanding among people can affect the ability of individuals to understand the ethics of media use, assess information wisely and be aware of the consequences of actions taken in the digital space. As a result, cyberbullying is still common and can cause various psychological effects for victims, such as stress, anxiety, decreased self-esteem to mental health issues. This study aims to analyze the role of people's digital understanding in dealing with cybercrime problem that is cyberbullying on social media platforms. The method applied is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining a wide range of relevant scientific literature. The findings of the analysis suggest that digital literacy has a significant role to play in shaping society's more thoughtful, critical and responsible behaviour towards social media use. Digital literacy also contributes to the community in recognizing forms of cyberbullying, preventing participation in such behaviors and providing appropriate responses. Therefore, increasing digital literacy through education and socialization needs to be continuously implemented in order to create a safer digital environment and reduce the spread of cyberbullying.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed maintenance practices in electric power systems, encouraging a shift from conventional approaches toward predictive maintenance strategies. This study examines the role of digital technologies in supporting predictive maintenance through a comprehensive literature review. The research was conducted by analyzing scientific journals, conference papers, and scholarly articles discussing the application of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, SCADA, and digital twin technologies in power system maintenance. The review indicates that predictive maintenance contributes to improved system reliability, reduced equipment downtime, lower maintenance expenditures, and enhanced operational efficiency through continuous monitoring and data-based decision making. Furthermore, digital technologies facilitate earlier fault identification and more effective maintenance scheduling. Despite these benefits, several challenges remain, including cybersecurity concerns, investment requirements for digital infrastructure, and the need for skilled personnel. The findings of this study provide insights that may support the development of more intelligent, efficient, and reliable power systems in the future.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an important technology in predictive maintenance of power systems due to its ability to improve reliability, efficiency, and asset management. Conventional maintenance approaches, such as corrective and preventive maintenance, often fail to accurately predict equipment failures, resulting in higher operational costs and unplanned outages. This study aims to analyze the development, applications, benefits, challenges, and future directions of AI in predictive maintenance of power systems. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA framework. Literature was collected from Google Scholar using keywords related to artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, machine learning, fault diagnosis, condition monitoring, and power systems. A total of 22 publications published between 2020 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The findings indicate that AI plays a significant role in fault detection, fault diagnosis, condition monitoring, and remaining useful life prediction of power equipment. AI has been widely applied to transformers, generators, switchgear, Photovoltaic Systems, and variable frequency drives. Furthermore, the integration of AI with IoT, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Digital Twin technologies enhances predictive accuracy and maintenance decision-making. Overall, AI contributes significantly to improving the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of future power systems.

Abstract

Rising electricity demand and the environmental impact of fossil fuels have accelerated the need for renewable energy development, particularly through Wind Power Plants (WPP). However, public understanding of WPP systems remains low due to the lack of interactive learning media. This study developed an educational video combining animation, narration, and illustrations to explain WPP components, the wind-to-electricity conversion process, and its benefits. Results show the video effectively improves renewable energy comprehension and holds strong potential as a self-directed learning medium to support energy literacy in Indonesia

Abstract

The development of social media has transformed many aspects of young people's lives, particularly in the way they consume information, adopt lifestyles, and interact in the digital world. This study aims to examine how social media use influences the formation of consumerist behavior among young people and its impact on social, psychological, and economic conditions. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. This method involves examining various journals, books, scientific articles, and documents related to the research topic. The findings indicate that social media is not only used for communication and information seeking but has also become a platform that shapes perceptions of needs, lifestyles, and social identity. Exposure to promotional content, digital trends, influencers, and the culture of following popular developments encourages young people to engage in consumption driven more by desires than by actual needs. In addition to affecting spending patterns, consumerist behavior also influences psychological well-being, social relationships, and individuals' ability to manage their finances. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy and financial literacy is essential to enable young people to use social media wisely and responsibly.

Abstract

Steam Power Plant (SPP) material is considered a complex topic because it involves thermodynamic concepts and mechanical processes occurring within closed components, making it difficult for students to observe directly. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of interactive technology-based learning videos as supporting media in electrical engineering education. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The analysis phase identified students’ needs to visualize the water-steam cycle and understand the operational processes of steam power plants. During the design phase, storyboards and animation concepts for the main SPP components were created. The development phase produced interactive learning videos using Canva and CapCut, which were validated and deemed feasible by subject matter experts and media experts. The implementation stage demonstrated that the media could be effectively integrated into the learning process. Furthermore, the evaluation results revealed highly positive student responses, with an average score of 4.4 out of 5.0. Based on these findings, the developed interactive learning video is considered feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of Steam Power Plant concepts.
