Abstract

This study examines the implementation of electronic court administration (e-court) and electronic case hearings within the judicial system based on Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) No. 1 of 2019, with a particular focus on the e-filing, e-payment, e-summons, and e-litigation systems. The study applies a juridical-empirical method with a descriptive approach by analyzing relevant legal provisions and observing their practical implementation in the field. The findings indicate that the implementation of e-court has simplified administrative procedures while enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for justice seekers. Nevertheless, several obstacles persist, including limited user understanding, technical disruptions, and uneven readiness of supporting infrastructure and facilities. Therefore, further improvements are still required to optimize system utilization for all parties involved in legal proceedings. In conclusion, the implementation of electronic case administration under PERMA No. 1 of 2019 has been relatively well executed, although it still necessitates enhancements in public outreach, system reliability, and infrastructural support to fully realize the objectives of a simple, fast, and cost-effective judiciary system.

Abstract

A trademark serves as a distinctive sign identifying the origin of goods or services and is protected under the first-to-file principle, whereby exclusive rights are granted to the first applicant who registers the mark through the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP). However, disputes may arise when similar trademarks are granted registration despite prior registration by another party. This study aims to analyze the judges' legal considerations in Decision Number 89/Pdt.Sus-Merek/2022/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst concerning trademark infringement and to examine the legal responsibilities of the defendants. The research employed a normative legal method through the analysis of statutory regulations, court decisions, and relevant legal literature. The findings indicate that the court concluded the defendant had acted in bad faith and declared the cancellation of the defendant's trademark registration along with all its legal consequences. Furthermore, the defendants were held responsible for complying with the court's decision and bearing the litigation costs. This study emphasizes the importance of legal certainty and the consistent application of the first-to-file principle to ensure effective protection of registered trademark rights in Indonesia.

Abstract

Massive modernization and digitalization currents potentially erode the younger generation's understanding and appreciation of local cultural heritage. This community service activity aims to empower the youth group members of the Al Fitrah Mosque Youth Association or Gemar through traditional hadrah art training in the Cipamokolan area of Bandung City. The implementation method used a participatory mentoring approach encompassing a cross-sectoral coordination preparation phase, a technical training and philosophical value education phase, and a performance showcase phase as an art appreciation space. The results of this activity indicate an increase in the youths' motor and musical skills in playing traditional hadrah instruments. Furthermore, this activity successfully facilitated the process of cultural transmission and intergenerational educational communication when the youths introduced the art form to the women's Islamic study congregation. The conclusion of this community service asserts that restructuring mosque youth activities through religious arts is proven effective in maintaining the existence of Nusantara Islamic culture while safeguarding the social identity of the younger generation from the negative impacts of globalization.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of technology transfer in the automotive industry regarding the development of electrified vehicles, with a particular focus on Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) in Indonesia through the case of PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia. Using a case study approach, the research examines how technology transfer from technologically advanced countries, particularly Japan, has been adopted and adapted to support the development of HEV technology that meets the characteristics and demands of the Indonesian market. The study further analyzes the influence of government policies, regulatory frameworks, industrial collaboration, infrastructure readiness, and consumer preferences on the effectiveness of technology transfer and the implementation of electrified vehicle technology. This research employs a normative juridical method supported by field data obtained through relevant stakeholders and industry observations to provide a comprehensive understanding of the existing conditions. The findings are expected to identify the major challenges and opportunities associated with HEV development and technology localization in Indonesia. Furthermore, this research is intended to provide valuable insights and practical recommendations for automotive industry stakeholders and policymakers in formulating sustainable strategies and regulations that accelerate the development, adoption, and competitiveness of electrified vehicles in Indonesia.
