Abstract

Teluk Berdiri Mangrove Ecotourism in Sungai Kupah Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency, is one of the environment-based tourist destinations that has the potential to improve the welfare of local communities. This study aims to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of ecotourism development and the role of actors involved in its management. The research method used is a qualitative approach with observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the main supporting factors in the development of ecotourism include the uniqueness of natural attractions, government support in the form of infrastructure development and promotion, and active community involvement in tourism management. Several initiatives, such as the construction of bridges and roads to tourist areas and the holding of the Kubu Raya Traveler-Tourism Vlog Festival (KRTV Fest), helped increase the number of tourist visits, but there are various inhibiting factors in the development of this ecotourism, such as limited supporting infrastructure, lack of facilities such as lodging and clean water, lack of access to public transportation, and limited internet signals. In addition, limited promotion is still a challenge in attracting more tourists. The role of actors, including the government, local communities, academics and non-governmental organisations, is crucial in ensuring sustainable ecotourism management. This research confirms that synergy from various actors as well as infrastructure improvements and more effective promotional strategies are needed to optimise the potential of Telok Teluk Berdiri Mangrove Ecotourism as a sustainable community-based tourism destination.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has transitioned from merely being charity focused towards the incorporation of strategic practices that aid in impacting society in a more sustainable manner. United Nations set up SDGs in 2015 which have since then become a universal standard that organizations use to align with socio-economic objectives in general. For an efficient alignment of SDGs with CSR, a dynamic approach is needed to adapt to changes in the business environment. CSR keeps on changing with evolving social, environmental and market conditions. Since various factors define CSR in today’s world, it is imperative that organizations incorporate efficient strategies to have a long-lasting difference. This paper presents a conceptual framework that leverages dynamic capabilities to facilitate the strategic alignment of CSR initiatives with the SDGs. The focus is on how dynamic capabilities (DCs) can be applied when linking CSR and SDGs. This provides a good model that strategists and policy makers can leverage to improve the impact of CSR initiatives to enhance sustainability as envisaged in the SDGs. This way, businesses can attain their working goals and objectives and also contribute in positively impacting society to achieving the SDGs.

Abstract

Financial capabilities are crucial for individual investors when making optimal selections. Due to the significance of financial capabilities and the lack of thorough summaries in recent study on this subject, this paper tries to analyze the measurements of financial capability, contemporary developments in research methods, and theoretical viewpoint from the social perspective. In this regard, we conducted a systematic review by selecting 55 papers published between 2007 and 2025 from the Scopus database. Our study found that financial capability is a multifaceted notion and can be measured in several manners: financial literacy, financial behavior, financial education, financial knowledge, financial attitude, financial confidence, financial self-efficacy, financial socialization, financial advice, and financial access. Furthermore, we performed a co-occurrence citation analysis of keywords from existing studies to identify the most influential predictors of financial capabilities. The current review also examines the inclination to incorporate significant theoretical dimensions into the research. This comprehensive investigation will provide academics, practitioners, and institutions in commerce and management with valuable information.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a transformation in marketing strategies and customer service, including in the used car sales sector. Home-based showrooms in East Jakarta have begun to utilize digital media to reach consumers more broadly. This study aims to examine the effect of e-Servqual and e-Promotion on used car purchasing decisions in home-scale showrooms. The research method uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires to 132 respondents who had purchased used cars through digital platforms. The analysis results show that both e-Servqual and e-Promotion have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, both individually and simultaneously. The R Square value of 0.599 indicates that the two independent variables explain 59.9% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the model. This finding confirms the importance of clear information, quick response, and attractive digital promotions in influencing consumer behavior. The conclusion of this study is that service and digital promotion are the main strategies that must be optimized by home-based showroom businesses in the face of increasingly competitive market competition.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has long been viewed as a tool to enhance marketing efficiency. However, we are now entering a deeper, less explored phase of the AI-marketing relationship — one that directly affects consumer cognition, autonomy, and identity. This article offers a perspective on how AI technologies are not just influencing behavior but are actively reshaping the cognitive architecture of consumers. In doing so, AI is contributing to a paradigm shift in advertising and marketing — moving from reactive persuasion to predictive and pre-emptive influence. This shift requires a reevaluation of key assumptions in marketing theory, particularly regarding choice, agency, and ethical responsibility.

Abstract

Community empowerment is an effort to make what belongs to the community better so that the community can fulfill its needs as well as possible so that it can survive and develop independently in the economic, religious, social and cultural fields. In this research, researchers took a community empowerment of MSMEs, household businesses, BUMDes, Farmer groups, markets and other community economic assistance as part of this program. This empowerment takes various forms, such as training, workshops, funding, equipment assistance, renovation of facilities/infrastructure, and so on. It is hoped that this approach will improve societal and economic welfare in economic terms, community empowerment focuses on areas of progress and increases public awareness of local resources that can be exploited to generate income. Community economic empowerment requires strengthening community members' ownership of factors of production, control over distribution and marketing, the ability to earn sufficient income, and the ability to access information, knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Knowledge sharing practices and readiness to change are crucial internal capabilities that contribute to successful innovation and organizational transformation. Market sensing, as a component of external sensitivity, is essential for responding to environmental changes. This research aims to determine the influence of knowledge sharing practices, readiness for change, and market sensing on the organizational performance of digital-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Java. The respondents included MSME entrepreneurs in the culinary, fashion, and craft sectors who utilize digital platforms. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, observation, and a literature review, and analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The results indicate that knowledge sharing practices, readiness to change, and market sensing each have a significant positive influence on organizational performance. Market sensing was found to be the most dominant factor. These findings suggest that integrating market sensing with a readiness for change, supported by internal knowledge sharing, fosters creative solutions and improves performance. This study empirically supports the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory by highlighting the strategic role of internal resources in achieving sustainable competitive advantage. The key implication is that for MSMEs to enhance adaptability, drive innovation, and respond effectively to market dynamics, they must develop internal capabilities that are deeply integrated with external sensitivity. These strategic efforts are essential for enhancing competitive advantage and ensuring sustained business growth amid the increasingly complex and rapidly evolving digital business environment.

Abstract

The study investigated the determinants of poverty in Nigeria using annual time series data for twenty-three years (2000-2022). The study strives to specifically evaluate the impact of corruption, unemployment, economic instability, and population growth rate on poverty in Nigeria. Secondary data collated from the CBN statistical bulletin and the World Bank indicator for the period was used for the study. Employing the ordinary least squares (OLS) regression technique and ex-post facto research design for the statistical computations. The findings of the correlation test carried out, discovered that all the selected determinants (corruption, unemployment, economic instability and population growth) have a significant positive and negative correlation on poverty levels in Nigeria. The OLS regression model employed in this study shows that the regression model concludes that corruption, unemployment rate and population growth rate are positively associated with poverty level, while and economic instability is negatively associated with poverty level but was found to be statistically insignificant. Based on the finding of the study, it was concluded that efforts should be made to reduce corruption and manage population growth rates to curb poverty levels. This could be achieved through implementing strict anti-corruption measures and promoting good governance practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices namely Green Recruitment and Green Rewards on Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB), with Environmental Training as a mediating variable, within the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) framework. Using a cross-sectional survey of 100 employees from conservation organizations in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the results demonstrate that both Green Recruitment and Green Rewards significantly enhance Environmental Training, which in turn strongly predicts PEB. Furthermore, Environmental Training partially mediates the relationships between GHRM practices and PEB, emphasizing its central role in operationalizing environmental values into workplace behaviors. The study contributes to the literature by validating the AMO model in a non-corporate, conservation-focused context in the Global South and offers practical insights for sustainability-oriented HR strategies.
