Abstract

Volunteer performance is crucial for the success of social and humanitarian organizations, yet maintaining their consistency poses a unique challenge compared to paid employees. While previous studies have extensively examined human resource factors in profit-oriented sectors, empirical evidence regarding the predictors of volunteer performance remains sketchy. Therefore, this study examines the predictive role of work motivation, workload, and job stress on volunteer performance at the Adzkia Nugraha Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Madiun Regency. A quantitative research design was adopted, and data were collected from 132 participants selected using the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, incorporating partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) evaluations. The results demonstrated that work motivation partially had a positive and significant effect on volunteer performance. Conversely, workload and job stress showed a significant negative effect on performance. Furthermore, the simultaneous evaluation revealed that work motivation, workload, and job stress collectively significantly predicted volunteer performance. The model accounted for 39.2% of the variance in volunteer performance (Adjusted R2 = .392). The study concludes that intrinsic work motivation is the primary driver of volunteer performance, whereas excessive workload and high stress significantly hinder their contributions even in this specific non-profit context. The study recommends that organizational stakeholders focus on strategies that foster volunteer motivation, such as non-financial appreciation, to sustain service effectiveness. the primary driver of volunteer performance, whereas workload and stress do not significantly hinder their contributions.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has intensified market competition, making consumer purchase decisions a critical focal point for digital platforms. This study examines the predictive role of free shipping, trust, and online customer reviews on online purchase decisions among Shopee application users in Madiun, Indonesia. A quantitative associative research design was adopted, and a purposive sampling technique was utilized to select 100 respondents who are active Shopee users. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire featuring a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the hypotheses. The results demonstrated that free shipping, trust, and online customer reviews simultaneously predicted online purchase decisions, accounting for 69.4% of the variance, R² = .694, F = 75.929, p < .001. Furthermore, partial hypothesis testing revealed that free shipping (β = .182, p = .014), trust (β = .229, p = .005), and online customer reviews (β = .528, p < .001) each emerged as significant independent predictors of purchase decisions. The study concludes that all three variables significantly contribute to driving online purchase decisions among the study participants. The study recommends that e-commerce stakeholders should proactively optimize free shipping promotions, strengthen transactional trust, and maintain credible customer reviews to stimulate consumer purchasing behavior.

Abstract

Public service performance has remained a major concern due to its direct impact on community satisfaction and regional development. While studies have addressed the technical and infrastructural factors as the cause of poor public service delivery, studies addressing the psychological and environmental human factors seem sketchy. Therefore, this study examines the predictive role of workload, burnout, and work environment on employee performance among public servants at the Department of Transportation in Ngawi Regency, East Java, Nigeria. A cross-sectional survey design was adopted, while a proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select the study population. Validated questionnaires were used to collect data from 109 participants and analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the hypothesis, which was accepted at the p < .05 level of significance. The result demonstrated that the independent variables significantly correlated with employee performance among the study participants, R² = .754, F (3,105) = 12.228, p < .001. Furthermore, workload (β = -.197, p = .042) and burnout (β = -.123, p = .028) negatively predicted performance, whereas the work environment (β = .328, p = .040) positively and dominantly predicted employee performance. The study concludes that human and environmental factors significantly contributed to performance fluctuations among the study participants. The study recommends all stakeholders take proactive measures to upgrade the physical work environment and checkmate excessive workloads to mitigate burnout and optimize public service delivery.

Abstract

Abstract Market relocation constitutes a policy instrument employed by local governments to support urban spatial planning and enhance the quality of commercial infrastructure. However, its implementation often generates multidimensional consequences, particularly for the socio-economic conditions of actors operating within the informal sector. This study aims to examine the impact of business relocation on the socio-economic conditions of chili traders at Mardika Market, Ambon City. The research adopted a quantitative approach using a survey method conducted in December 2025. The study involved 30 respondents selected through purposive sampling, consisting of chili traders who had experienced relocation and remained actively engaged in trading activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and structured questionnaires, and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to assess differences in conditions before and after relocation. The findings reveal that business relocation exerted a significant influence on the traders' social conditions, as reflected in changes in social interactions, perceived security, and environmental cleanliness. Furthermore, relocation also affected the economic dimension, particularly through alterations in working hours and a decline in traders’ income levels. These findings suggest that although market relocation has the potential to improve the physical quality of market facilities, the policy has not yet fully ensured the economic sustainability of traders’ livelihoods. Therefore, more adaptive and welfare-oriented policy interventions are required to better accommodate the needs and long-term economic resilience of informal business actors.

Abstract

This study analyzes the accuracy of the distribution of subsidized fertilizers based on the 6 Right principle (6T), namely the right type, the right quantity, the right price, the right time, the right place, and the right target group. The study was conducted in 2025 using a survey. The research location was deliberately chosen because it is one of the areas with high use of subsidized fertilizers. The respondents were 65 farmers who received subsidized fertilizers. The research data consisted of primary data obtained through interviews using a structured questionnaire and secondary data from the agricultural service, farmers' organizations, official sales outlets, and relevant literature. The data analysis was performed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of the study demonstrate that the distribution mechanism of subsidized fertilizers in the Harau district has been implemented through the phases of RDKK preparation, verification of farmer data, distribution by official distributors, and distribution via official sales outlets. In general, the implementation of the Six Rights Principle is proceeding quite well, particularly regarding the right type and the right place. However, various obstacles remain, such as delays in the distribution of fertilizer, limited allocation relative to farmers' needs, and inconsistencies in data regarding grant recipients.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Media, Self-Esteem, and Lifestyle on Consumer Behavior in purchasing skincare products among women in Gowa Regency with Fear of Missing Out as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to female skincare users and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study indicate that social media, self-esteem, and lifestyle have a positive and significant influence on consumer behavior. These three variables also have a positive and significant influence on fear of missing out. Fear of missing out has been shown to have a positive and significant influence on consumer behavior and acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between social media, self-esteem, and lifestyle on consumer behavior. These findings suggest that consumer purchasing decisions in the digital age are influenced not only by functional needs but also by psychological vulnerabilities and social pressures that arise through digital interactions. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of consumer behavior studies in the digital age and offers practical implications for developing more ethical marketing strategies in the skincare industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Maqashid Sharia values in the operational practices of BMT Nusantara Sempu Branch Office. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with BMT management personnel, including the Branch Manager, Account Officer Savings and Financing (AOSP), and Account Officer Financing (AOAP). Additional data were obtained through participant observation of daily operational activities and analysis of internal and external institutional documents. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while source triangulation was applied to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that the implementation of Maqashid Sharia is reflected in five principal dimensions. First, hifzh al-din (protection of religion) is demonstrated through compliance with Sharia principles in all products and contracts, adherence to DSN-MUI fatwas, and the integration of religious values into risk management decisions. Second, hifzh al-nafs (protection of life) is implemented through financing feasibility assessments, a persuasive and family-oriented collection system, and restructuring schemes for customers experiencing financial difficulties. Third, hifzh al-aql (protection of intellect) is realized through transparent contract information, Islamic financial literacy programs, and the prohibition of gharar, riba, and maysir. Fourth, hifzh al-nasl (protection of lineage) is reflected in productive financing, educational savings programs, and business development assistance. Fifth, hifzh al-mal (protection of wealth) is implemented through prudential financial management, transparent profit-sharing mechanisms, and the management of social funds. The study concludes that Maqashid Sharia has been integrated into BMT operations and serves as a practical foundation for Islamic microfinance governance at the local level.
