Abstract

This study intends to examine the influence of the dimensions of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) namely, Source and Content on tourists’ decisions to visit Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan in Malang. This study used an explanatory research design and a quantitative approach. Data were obtained using a questionnaire provided to travelers who had previously visited Kajoetangan Heritage Village in Malang using purposive sampling, and were subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with IBM SPSS Statistics 29. The results reveal that, concurrently, the factors Source and Content have a considerable effect on tourists’ visit decisions. Partially, the “Source” variable has a favorable and substantial effect on the decision to visit, while the “Content” variable does not have a meaningful effect. It is anticipated that this study will help the management of Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Malang improve the effectiveness of information dissemination through digital media, especially by strengthening the credibility of information sources to encourage tourists' visitation decisions. These findings show that the credibility of the information source plays a more dominant role in influencing tourists' decisions to visit than the quality of the information content.

Abstract

Tourism has become one of the strategic sectors contributing to regional economic growth while promoting environmental conservation and community welfare. However, sustainable tourism development depends not only on the attractiveness of tourist destinations but also on positive communication among visitors. This study aims to examine the influence of Word of Mouth and Tourist Attraction on Sustainable Tourism Development in Teluk Bicari, Kaimana Regency, West Papua. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. Data were collected from 100 tourists using purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The findings indicate that Word of Mouth has a positive and significant effect on Sustainable Tourism Development (β = 0.263; t = 4.765; p < 0.001). Likewise, Tourist Attraction has a positive and significant effect (β = 0.770; t = 13.921; p < 0.001) and represents the most influential variable. Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly affect Sustainable Tourism Development (F = 117.200; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.707) indicates that 70.7% of the variation in Sustainable Tourism Development is explained by Word of Mouth and Tourist Attraction, while the remaining 29.3% is explained by other factors. These findings imply that strengthening destination attractiveness while encouraging positive visitor recommendations can effectively support sustainable tourism development in Teluk Bicari

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing consumers’ purchasing decisions regarding imported fruits in modern and traditional markets in Poka Village, Ambon City. The study was conducted from January to February and involved 60 respondents—consumers from both modern and traditional markets—selected through purposive sampling. The method used was quantitative descriptive analysis supported by qualitative data collected through observation, interviews, and a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis, supported by validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The research results indicate that in traditional markets, the price and process variables have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, while other variables do not have a significant effect. In contrast, in modern markets, the product quality, facilities, and location variables have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously. This difference indicates that consumers in traditional markets tend to prioritize price and ease of the purchasing process, whereas consumers in modern markets place greater emphasis on product quality, facilities, and location. Taken together, these factors reflect differences in consumer behavior when making purchasing decisions in each type of market.

Abstract

Bureaucratic simplification has become a strategic agenda in Indonesia’s public sector reform, particularly through the conversion of administrative positions into functional positions. This policy aims to create a more agile, professional, and competency-based bureaucracy while improving organizational effectiveness and public service performance. This study analyzes the implementation of position equalization from structural to functional positions from the perspectives of organizational restructuring and civil servant career development in Siak Regency, Riau Province. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to explore the dynamics of policy implementation within local government institutions. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving key stakeholders responsible for human resource management and organizational governance. The analysis was guided by organizational design theory and career development theory to examine changes in organizational structure, authority distribution, coordination mechanisms, career planning, competency development, promotion opportunities, and career path certainty. The findings indicate that position equalization has contributed to a leaner organizational structure, improved functional specialization, and greater flexibility in public administration. However, several challenges remain, including competency mismatches, limited understanding of the functional position credit system, and uncertainty regarding long-term career advancement. These issues affect employee motivation and the effectiveness of career management practices. The study proposes an integrative implementation model that aligns organizational restructuring with competency-based career development and merit-based personnel management. Such alignment is essential for strengthening bureaucratic reform and ensuring sustainable professional development within local government institutions.

Abstract

Java Island is the center of national economic activity, contributing around 57 percent of Indonesia's total GRDP and accommodating 56.8 percent of the national labor force, or more than 86 million people, yet labor productivity across its provinces still shows significant disparity, with DKI Jakarta consistently outperforming the other provinces. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Provincial Minimum Wage, the Human Development Index (HDI), and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as a proxy for technology on labor productivity in six provinces of Java Island during the 2020–2024 period. The study uses a quantitative approach with panel data comprising 30 observations, combining five years of time-series data and cross-sectional data from six provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, and Banten. The estimation model was selected through the Chow Test and the Hausman Test, both of which indicated the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the best model, and all data were processed using EViews 13. The FEM estimation results show that Provincial Minimum Wage has a positive and significant effect on labor productivity. HDI has a negative and significant effect, indicating that improvements in human development quality have not been fully matched by competencies suited to labor market needs. Meanwhile, FDI has a positive and significant effect as a channel of technology transfer that improves production efficiency and labor productivity.

However, many MSMEs continue to face challenges related to managerial capacity, marketing strategies, business legality, financial management, and the adoption of digital technology. This study aims to analyze the optimization of MSME independence through mentoring and empowerment conducted by BTPN Syariah companion facilitators. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The findings indicate that a structured mentoring process including business needs assessment, business identity development, business legality registration through the Business Identification Number (NIB), simple financial record-keeping, digital marketing assistance, and continuous business evaluation significantly enhances the managerial and entrepreneurial capacities of MSME owners. Furthermore, companion facilitators serve not only as trainers but also as mentors who assist entrepreneurs in solving operational challenges and making informed business decisions. This mentoring approach contributes to improving entrepreneurial competence, business competitiveness, and the long-term sustainability of MSMEs. Therefore, the mentoring and empowerment program implemented by PT Bank BTPN Syariah has proven to optimize MSME independence by strengthening the knowledge, skills, and self-reliance of business owners in managing and developing their enterprises sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using e-wallets on the consumptive behavior of college students. This research uses a quantitative method approach. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to students who actively use e-wallets such as ShopeePay, GoPay, OVO, or Dana. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that the use of e-wallets has a positive and significant effect on student consumptive behavior. The ease of transaction features, promos, and discounts offered by e-wallets trigger impulse buying, which encourages students to behave more consumptively. This study suggests that students should improve their digital financial literacy to control their spending.
