Abstract

The rapid advancement of financial technology has revolutionized transaction methods from cash to cashless systems, with digital wallets like DANA becoming highly integrated into the daily routines of college students. This study aims to analyze the influence of ease of use, service features, and promotion on the intensity of DANA e-wallet usage among students of Universitas Merdeka Madiun. A quantitative causal explanatory research design was adopted. A purposive and stratified random sampling technique was used to select 170 active student respondents from a total population of 1,070 active students. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results demonstrated that ease of use, service features, and promotion simultaneously and positively predict the intensity of DANA e-wallet usage, F (3, 166) = 54.40, p < 0.001, explaining 48.7 percent of the variance (Adjusted R Square = 0.487). Partially, ease of use (t = 6.837, p < 0.001), service features (t = 6.524, p < 0.001), and promotion (t = 8.436, p < 0.001) each have a positive and significant effect on the intensity of usage, with promotion acting as the most dominant determinant. The study concludes that ease of use, service features, and promotion significantly contribute to shaping the intensity of e-wallet usage among students. The study recommends that e-wallet providers simplify transaction processes, innovate service features, and maintain attractive promotional programs to systematically enhance user engagement.

Abstract

The coffee shop industry has remained a rapidly growing sector due to its profound social and economic influence on consumer lifestyles and urban business development. While several studies have addressed basic functional products as the main driver of consumer loyalty, studies simultaneously addressing experiential and environmental human factors seem sketchy. Therefore, this study examines the predictive role of word of mouth, customer experience, and cafe atmosphere on revisit intention among consumers at Holly Coffee Shop in Madiun, Indonesia. A causal associative survey design was adopted while accidental sampling technique was used to select the study population. A validated questionnaire was used to collect data from 100 participants and analyzed using multiple linear regression to test hypotheses which were accepted at p less than 0.001 level of significance. The result demonstrated that the predictive model significantly explained the variation in revisit intention among study participants, Adjusted R Square = 0.873, F (3, 96) = 228.800, p less than 0.001. Furthermore, cafe atmosphere (Beta = 0.631, p less than 0.001), customer experience (Beta = 0.228, p less than 0.001), and word of mouth (Beta = 0.170, p less than 0.001) significantly predicted consumer revisit intention. The study concludes that cafe atmosphere, customer experience, and word of mouth significantly contribute to shaping revisit intentions among study participants. The study recommends cafe management and marketing stakeholders should take proactive measures to optimize cafe aesthetics, service delivery, and organic positive reviews to systematically enhance customer retention.

Abstract

Operational efficiency has remained a major concern in the modern retail industry due to intense business competition and the ongoing need to optimize operational costs. While previous studies have separately addressed individual commercial strategies, integrated structural assessments of retail management factors remain sketchy. Therefore, this study examines the predictive role of store layout, product display, and inventory control on operational efficiency at MR.DIY Ngawi and Magetan branches. A quantitative explanatory research design was adopted, while a total saturation census sampling technique was used to select the study population consisting of 30 active employees. Two validated questionnaires were used to collect data from the participants and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to test research hypotheses at the level of significance. The result demonstrated that store layout, product display, and inventory control significantly correlated with operational efficiency among study participants, with an Adjusted R Square of 0.881 and an F value of 72.47 at p less than 0.001. Furthermore, store layout (B = 0.493, p = 0.001) and inventory control (B = 0.594, p = 0.001) significantly predicted operational efficiency, whereas product display did not demonstrate a significant partial effect (B = -0.111, p = 0.284). The study concludes that store layout and inventory control significantly contributed to operational efficiency among the study participants. The study recommends that retail stakeholders and store managers should take proactive measures to maintain retail space layouts and execute strict stock control systems to minimize waste and ensure sustained operational efficiency.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has increased the use of e-commerce platforms for online shopping activities. Generation Z is a group with a high level of technological adaptation, making online shopping an integral part of their daily lives. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, promotion, and digital lifestyle on the online shopping frequency of Generation Z students at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Merdeka Madiun. This research employed a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. The sample consisted of 133 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that price has a positive and significant effect on online shopping frequency (t = 4.794; sig. = 0.000). Promotion also has a positive and significant effect on online shopping frequency (t = 3.943; sig. = 0.000). In contrast, digital lifestyle does not have a significant effect on online shopping frequency (t = 1.219; sig. = 0.225). Simultaneously, price, promotion, and digital lifestyle significantly influence online shopping frequency (F = 92.157; sig. = 0.000). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.674 indicates that 67.4% of the variation in online shopping frequency can be explained by the three independent variables. The study concludes that price and promotion are significant factors influencing online shopping frequency, while digital lifestyle does not have a significant partial effect. Price is the most dominant factor affecting students’ online shopping frequency.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of perceived price and delivery quality on consumers’ repurchase intention toward Nasi Bakar Bucik An through the GoFood platform in Bandar Lampung. Earlier studies have produced mixed results concerning the impact of perceived price and delivery quality on repurchase intention, especially within Indonesia’s local online food delivery sector. To address this empirical inconsistency, the study applies the Means–End Chain (MEC) Theory as the underlying framework. A quantitative research design was implemented using purposive sampling, involving 140 respondents who had previously ordered Nasi Bakar Bucik An via GoFood. Data collection was conducted through online questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The findings reveal that both perceived price and delivery quality positively and significantly affect repurchase intention. Among the two variables, delivery quality demonstrates the greatest contribution in encouraging consumers to make repeat purchases. The study enriches the literature on online food delivery services by highlighting the role of reasonable pricing and dependable delivery performance in enhancing customer loyalty and retention for local culinary enterprises operating through digital platforms.

Abstract

Fluctuations in occupancy rates and the high frequency of special events in the hospitality industry require management to be adaptive in controlling variable operating costs, particularly the budget for casual/daily workers. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing activity-based budgeting and flexible budgeting in meeting the need for additional staff at Hotel XYZ in Makassar. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with a case study method, this study analyzes actual budget expenditure data and the number of operational personnel during the transition period of November and December 2025. The results show that the implementation of flexible budgeting at Hotel XYZ in Makassar was highly responsive in addressing peak season demands. There was an 81.48% increase in the number of casual workers (from 27 to 49 personnel), accompanied by an 80.35% increase in budget allocation (from Rp90,217,130 to Rp162,711,180). The Food & Beverage (Kitchen & Banquet) division and the Security department were identified as the primary cost drivers, absorbing the largest portion of the budget to maintain the hotel’s service and security standards. This study concludes that this dynamic budget adjustment is capable of optimizing the hotel’s operational efficiency. Management is recommended to implement strict key performance indicators (KPIs) for casual workers and conduct cross-training to prevent the risk of rising variable costs that could erode the company’s net profitability.

Abstract

Nowadays, there is a growing discernment among Muslim consumers regarding the halal aspect and quality (tayyib) of a commodity prior to consumption. This study is designed to examine the influence of halal certification and product quality on consumer purchasing behavior, both directly and indirectly through brand image as an intervening factor. Adopting a quantitative approach, this research gathered data from 100 participants via a digital questionnaire hosted on Google Forms. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through the Smart-PLS software. Empirical findings indicate that the presence of a halal logo alone fails to trigger purchasing actions. Conversely, product quality standards are proven to strongly drive direct purchase decisions. On the other hand, both the inclusion of a halal logo and product quality successfully boost brand image positively. Interestingly, when brand image acts as a mediator, both the halal regulation variable and product quality prove reliable in stimulating the consumers' final decision to purchases

Abstract

This study examines the effects of digital financial inclusion, MSME productivity, and regional investment on economic growth in Malang Regency. Malang Regency was selected because it is a large regency with a diverse local economy, including manufacturing, agriculture, trade, tourism, and subdistrict-based micro and small enterprises. Regional economic digitalization is increasingly relevant because digital payments, fintech-based financial services, and MSME digital transformation can expand market access, reduce transaction costs, and promote more inclusive growth. This study applies an explanatory quantitative approach using a subdistrict-year panel design covering 33 subdistricts from 2019 to 2024, yielding 198 observations. Economic growth is proxied by a local economic growth index, digital financial inclusion by an index of digital financial service usage, MSME productivity by an index of turnover and output per worker, and regional investment by realized domestic and foreign investment. Multiple linear regression is employed after classical assumption tests. The simulated estimation results indicate that digital financial inclusion, MSME productivity, and regional investment positively and significantly influence economic growth. The adjusted R-squared value is 0.582, suggesting that the model explains 58.2 percent of the variation in local economic growth. Digital financial inclusion shows the strongest standardized effect, followed by regional investment and MSME productivity. The findings emphasize that inclusive regional growth requires an integrated policy combining digital finance expansion, MSME productivity upgrading, and productive investment acceleration
