Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of liquidity, leverage, sales growth, and institutional ownership on financial distress, with profitability acting as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017–2020. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from annual reports and purposive sampling. The final sample consists of 145 manufacturing companies, resulting in 580 firm-year observations. Financial distress is measured using the modified Altman Z-Score, while liquidity, leverage, sales growth, profitability, and institutional ownership are measured using the current ratio, debt-to-equity ratio, sales growth ratio, return on assets, and institutional ownership ratio, respectively. The data are analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS. The results indicate that liquidity, leverage, and sales growth have positive and significant effects on financial distress, whereas institutional ownership has no significant effect. Profitability significantly moderates and strengthens the effects of liquidity and leverage on financial distress and significantly moderates and weakens the effect of sales growth. However, profitability does not significantly moderate the effect of institutional ownership on financial distress. The findings indicate that financial ratios provide important signals of financial condition and that profitability changes the strength of several relationships with financial distress.

Abstract

Information systems play an important role in supporting business operations, including the ordering process in the printing industry. A well-managed ordering system can improve operational efficiency, reduce recording errors, facilitate information retrieval, and enhance customer service. Karya Agung Printing is a business that provides various printing services, with an ordering process involving customer information, product types, quantities, specifications, prices, payments, and order completion status. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the ordering information system implemented at Karya Agung Printing, identify the processes involved in receiving and managing customer orders, and identify problems encountered during the ordering process. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively by examining the existing ordering process, data management, information delivery, and problems encountered. The results indicate that a more structured information management system is needed to facilitate order recording, data retrieval, payment management, and order status monitoring. The implementation of an information system that is appropriate to the operational needs of Karya Agung Printing is expected to improve the accuracy and accessibility of order information, operational efficiency, and customer service quality. The findings provide a basis for identifying relevant improvements and supporting the future development of the ordering information system.

Abstract

Income inequality is one of the major issues in economic development, reflecting the unequal distribution of development outcomes across regions. This study aims to analyze the effect of road infrastructure, health infrastructure, education infrastructure, and economic growth on income inequality in East Java Province. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data consisting of 38 regencies/cities in East Java Province during the period of 2015–2024. The analytical method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results indicate that road infrastructure, health infrastructure, and economic growth have a negative and significant effect on income inequality. Meanwhile, education infrastructure has a negative but insignificant effect on income inequality. These findings suggest that infrastructure development should be directed toward improving equal access and the quality of public services so that development benefits can be distributed more broadly among communities. This study provides implications for local governments in formulating development policies that support economic equality across regions.

Abstract

In the contemporary retail fashion sector, aligning digital promotional incentives with robust distribution logistics is essential for securing long-term brand equity and customer retention. Responding to this operational paradigm, this study investigates the partial and simultaneous influence of time limited promotional tools through Flash Sale (X1) and order-fulfillment efficiency through Delivery Speed (X2) on Customer Satisfaction (Y) at a leading Indonesian streetwear brand, Thanksinsomnia, which operates on the Shopee marketplace. A quantitative explanatory methodology was employed by surveying 100 digitally active urban consumers in the city of Bandar Lampung, selected through purposive sampling criteria. The primary metrics collected were statistically evaluated using multiple linear regression analysis via SPSS software. The empirical results show that Flash Sale has a significant, positive effect on customer satisfaction by increasing the perceived value of the promotion. Simultaneously, Delivery Speed shows a highly significant positive effect on satisfaction and emerges as the most dominant driver () in the structural model, largely due to the inter-island transit challenges faced by regional consumers outside Java Island. Simultaneously, the two operational pillars explain a substantial proportion of the variance in regional consumer-satisfaction metrics (). Collectively, these findings demonstrate that integrating local supply-chain responsiveness with strategic promotional touchpoints plays a major role in minimizing purchase barriers and generating superior consumer evaluations in the regional digital market.

Abstract

Infrastructure development is an important factor in supporting inclusive economic growth because it can improve people's access to economic activities and basic public services. This study aims to analyze the effect of infrastructure development on inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. Infrastructure development is represented by provincial road length, sanitation access, electricity access, clean water access, and internet access, while inclusive economic growth is measured using the Inclusive Growth Index (IGI). This study uses panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia during the 2016–2024 period. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with the Random Effect Model (REM), which was selected based on the Chow and Hausman tests using EViews 12. The results show that provincial road length has a significant negative effect on inclusive economic growth. Sanitation access has a positive but insignificant effect, while electricity access has a significant negative effect. Clean water access has a negative but insignificant effect. Meanwhile, internet access has a positive and significant effect on inclusive economic growth. Simultaneously, all infrastructure variables have a significant effect on inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. These findings indicate that infrastructure development does not always have a positive impact on inclusive economic growth. Therefore, infrastructure development needs to be improved through better distribution and utilization so that its benefits can be more widely enjoyed by the community and support more inclusive economic growth.

Abstract

Workload is one of the factors that has the potential to increase work stress in police officers, especially in administrative units that face demands for fast and accurate work completion. This study aims to analyze the effect of workload on work stress among police officers at the Human Resources Bureau of the North Sulawesi Regional Police. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The study population consisted of 62 police officers and the entire population was sampled using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire that had met validity and reliability tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS. The results showed that workload had a positive and significant effect on work stress (p < 0.05) with a regression coefficient of 1.166 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.727. Mental workload was the most dominant aspect, while psychological aspects were the highest dimension of work stress. In conclusion, increasing workload tends to be followed by increasing work stress, so that proportional workload management needs to be an organizational concern to support personnel welfare and improve performance effectiveness

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and work environment on employee job satisfaction at PT Subur Sedaya Maju, both partially and simultaneously. The study uses a quantitative approach with quantitative research methods. The study population was 628 employees, while a sample of 87 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula with a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, literature studies, and documentation. Data analysis used SPSS 26 through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The results showed that work-life balance had no significant effect on job satisfaction, while the work environment had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. In addition, work-life balance and work environment simultaneously had a significant effect on job satisfaction with a coefficient of determination of 33.2%. This study concludes that the work environment is a more dominant factor in increasing employee job satisfaction than work-life balance at PT Subur Sedaya Maju.
