Abstract

This research discusses the pisuke tradition in Sasak traditional marriages in Central Lombok Regency. Pisuke is an important part of Sasak marriage culture, in the form of giving a sum of money by the groom to the bride's family as a symbol of appreciation for the family's efforts to raise and educate their daughter. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach to analyze the factors that influence the value of pisuke, especially the bride's education level. The research findings show that the higher the education of the woman, the greater the pisuke value requested, reflecting education as an important investment in Sasak culture. The value of pisuke reflects not only economic dimensions but also social and gender aspects, which strengthen inter-family relationships and women's position in society. With an accounting approach, pisuke can be seen as a form of transaction that includes social, cultural and economic values. This research provides a new perspective in understanding cultural traditions in a modern economic context.

A total of 95 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula to ensure representativeness. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings reveal that work stress positively influences employee performance, suggesting that moderate levels of stress may enhance productivity. Conversely, the work environment negatively affects performance, implying that an unfavorable work atmosphere reduces productivity. Additionally, work motivation does not significantly impact performance nor mediate the relationship between work stress and employee performance. Moreover, the study highlights that the work environment has a greater influence on employee performance compared to work stress and motivation. The interaction between work stress and motivation indicates that these factors collectively shape performance outcomes. A supportive work environment is crucial in optimizing employee effectiveness.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism development in the transdisciplinary era demands strategies that are not only environmentally friendly but also community-oriented. The sustainability transition has become a key issue in efforts to achieve sustainable development goals, particularly in the context of regional tourism. This study explores stakeholder engagement in the sustainability transition, analyses their perceptions, and designs a collaborative model for the implementation of sustainable tourism. Adopting a qualitative approach based on critical discourse analysis, this research gathers data from policy documents, reports, media articles, and in-depth interviews with local government officials, tourism industry actors, local communities, and NGOs. The findings indicate that the local government has initiated sustainability transition discourse through the revision of the tourism master plan. Although stakeholders exhibit a positive perception of sustainability, significant challenges remain, particularly in rural destinations that receive limited attention. Hence, this study proposes a stakeholder collaboration model that emphasises cross-sectoral synergy as a strategic step towards achieving sustainable tourism in Sikka Regency. This model is expected to enhance community participation, strengthen local capacities, and ensure that tourism development aligns with sustainability principles.
