Abstract

Yoga could be defined as a spiritual science that is currently growing rapidly almost everywhere around the globe. This particular yoga practice, which combines traditional and modern techniques, is intended to enhance all three aspects of physical, mental, and spiritual health in the human body. Asana practice, pranayama exercises, and meditation are the three yoga practices through which these three components can be attained. The third part of Astangga Yoga (the eight stages of doing yoga) is the practice of Asanas or physical movements. Asanas are described as an upright pleasant position. By practicing asanas for 45 minutes in the morning or in the evening, either through Surya Namaskara Yoga movements or individual Asanas movements, one may stretch the muscles, joints, and nerves in the body. The second exercise namely Pranayama, or breathing methods of control; in this situation, proper and good breath control may promote calmness. Respiratory control could also affect an individual’s capacity for controlling their anxiety and handling too much stress. The current condition is able to be obtained due to the breath control that is capable to produce a favorable impact on neurotransmitters, the activity of alpha waves, and the activity of the vagal tone (neurological systems that control the heart, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract). This is therefore capable of producing tremendous usefulness for decreasing passion and providing a sense of calmness. Ability to induce a relaxation state despite undue exertion or pressure. Once the first two exercises are completed successfully, the third practice is meditation, which tries to connect the energy inside humans with the energy of the cosmos or may be viewed as the individual recognizing and comprehending who he/she actually is. Holistic health may be developed or established after these three elements have been attained through yoga practice.

Abstract

Abstract

National defense is a very important aspect in maintaining the existence and sovereignty of a country. Since ancient times Chanakya in his very famous treatise Arthasastra emphasized the importance of diplomacy and efforts to build the strength of a country. This paper aims to examine the text of Arthasastra as the basis for the Defense Diplomacy strategy. Indonesia adopted a Sanskrit slogan in the military world which indicated the close relationship between Indonesia’s defense and the rich heritage of Asian civilization with the influence of Indian texts. Chanakya emphasized that the state must build defenses, be ready to go to war but be able to maintain peace. A country is seen as having to be authoritative so that other countries, either with hostile tendencies or as partners, will have high respect. However, Arthasastra emphasized that the highest goal of a country is to build prosperity with defense and security as a prerequisite for building prosperity for a country.

Abstract

Indrajāla is the concept of universal holographic interrelationship which relates to energy, consciousness and continuity of universal multidimensional processes. This concept is related to Vedic Cosmology which denies separateness in the universe. This article describes the concept of Indrajāla in the Vedas which later became the central doctrine in Buddhism. This concept has great implications for the consciousness of mankind that everything is connected energetically through a net of illusions that are invisible, but have a real impact. This article was written based on literature research using Sri Aurobindo's Vedic interpretation. The results of this study indicate that the concept of Indrajāla has manifested in various forms and has become the main teaching in Mahayana Buddhism and subsequently reformulated into the concept of universal unity and interconnectedness. A complex interconnection network formed by the relationships between objects in a system, including social networks, particle interactions, and symbols representing ideas in the brain or intelligent computer system. The concept of a universal hologram is directly related to cosmic consciousness and the connectivity of energy in the universe. The implications of this concept will be able to build public awareness that one thought or event will have a wide impact, interrelatedness and interdependence between elements in the universe, including humans and the cosmos.

Abstract

Globalization as a phase of change carried out by people in various parts of the world, in which countries, regions, and communities are connected to each other in various fields. The blurring of geographical boundaries is the hallmark of globalization, this encourages wider information exchange. This paper discusses the threat of globalization that affects national resilience on ideological aspects using the Ethnography Content Analysis (ECA) method. The ease of access to information was also used by terrorist groups to spread radical ideologies using the pretext of the struggle to defend religion. They recruit their Muslims and make religion a protective shield. At this level, terrorist groups have become a threat to national resilience, because its existence can threaten the safety of the community through bombing actions carried out in various places. Besides, this group has also infused people with a radical ideology that has disrupted the country’s sovereignty with their desire to uphold Islamic law in Indonesia.

Abstract

Literacy of the Hindu scriptures, namely Bhagavad-gῑtā, is proven to be able to build resilience and the ability to get out of suffering. This study measures the Resilience and Coping Strategy of Bhagavad-gῑtā readers in Bali. The results showed that the motive and frequency in reading Bhagavad Gita together played a role in resilience. The results showed that the the Bhagavad-gῑtā readers’ resilience was influenced by 41.5% by the motive (the inner desire to read Bhagavad-gῑtā) and the frequency of reading Bhagavad-gῑtā. Apart from that, the coping strategy are also valuable for Bhagavad-gῑtā readers. The Resilient and Coping strategy together have a massive role for individuals to survive and even find a way out during difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This notion also proves that literacy has real impacts on its readers, such as building strength, endurance and ability to get out of crisis. In addition, suicide is not an option in a crisis, as many people do.

Abstract

A leader needs to have political morals in running the government, so as not to abuse the authority and power that causes suffering for the people. In many cases, they use their control to reap personal benefits while ensnaring the people. This article uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach related to Canakya's political morals. Canakya presents politics in a complex way in his Arthasastra. He did not treat politics arbitrarily with power but formed a great leadership candidate by prioritizing the happiness and welfare of his people. For the sake of its continuity, this leadership task must be carried out for every born ksatriya. Katriya is not just birth, and profession but ksatriya is attitude, principle, stance, character, and all of them combined.

Abstract

The understanding of Īśvara which is still ambiguous among Hindus makes researchersfeel the need to conduct research on these religion issues. The urgency in this research is toexamine in depth the conception of Īśvara so that it can contribute to Hindus as a whole inunderstanding the concept of Īśvara. This research is a qualitative research with an interpretivedescriptive approach that refers to the Hermeneutic theory. This theory is used because most ofthe discussion in this research seeks to interpret the arguments in the sacred literature to supportthe findings in this research. There are two major discussions in this research, namely related totheconceptof ĪśvaraasabsoluterealityandtheconceptofĪśvaraasthepersonalityofBrahman. The conception of Īśvara in the Brahman perspective as absolute reality means that Īśvara is thesupreme entity itself which does not have any attributes and is not affected by guna or maya. Sothat the quality is in the transcendent esoteric dimension. In contrast to Īśvara as an absolutereality, intheperspectiveofĪśvaraasthepersonalityofBrahmanitisexplainedthatĪśvaraispartof Brahman which is equipped with attributes, tasks, functions, and attributes. So that its levelcannot be equated with Brahman as an absolute reality. This is due to the influence of use andmaya. So itsposition isintheexotericdimensionwhich isimmanent.
