Abstract

In the midst of developments, many technologies are developing rapidly, one of which is artificial intelligence which was created to make human work easier. However, on the other side of the benefits for humans in using Artificial Intelligence technology, there is a problem that must be resolved in the future. One of them is a legal problem that is being faced all over the world. Even in Indonesia, several artists working in the field of design art still consider the use of Artificial Intelligence to violate copyright regulations. This is caused by the absence of strong regulations that specifically regulate Artificial Intelligence in Indonesia. Therefore, this research aims to see how moral responsibility is when the law makes actions that have a direct impact on society and how legal protection is for design art results that use artificial intelligence when linked to applicable regulations This research uses normative juridical research methods with a conceptual approach. The conceptual approach is based on the views and doctrines of various experts who have experienced developments in legal science. In Indonesia itself, there are no legal regulations that apply specifically to regulate Artificial Intelligence. In Law number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and electronic transactions, it is explained that Artificial Intelligence is categorized as a legal object, not a legal subject, but this does not rule out the possibility that Artificial Intelligence could become a legal subject. Meanwhile, Law no. 28 of 2014 concerning copyright explains that the person who can be held responsible before the law is the creator of the AI or the service provider for using Artificial Intelligence and for the results of the design artwork not violating copyright while taking data on the design artwork taken from the property. another person has obtained a license or permit by the person concerned. Therefore, it is immediately necessary to enact special laws that regulate Artificial Intelligence and to overcome further undesirable things, society needs to pay attention to moral responsibilities in using Artificial Intelligence, such as understanding how to use this technology in an ethical, responsible manner. and know the limits and need to ensure that no party is harmed

Abstract

Decoding Digital Dilemmas: The Indonesian Journey from Facebook-Commerce Anxiety to Engaged Participation delves into Indonesia's unique trajectory in the digital marketplace landscape, primarily focusing on Facebook as a platform for commerce. This paper uncovers the initial trepidation and uncertainties experienced by local merchants and consumers, attributed largely to unfamiliarity with the digital ecosystem and concerns about security, trustworthiness, and cultural fit. Drawing upon a mix of qualitative and quantitative data, we trace how these anxieties have evolved over time. A convergence of improved technological infrastructure, community-led knowledge sharing, and Facebook's localized strategies has led to an environment where digital commerce now thrives. The Indonesian case exemplifies how societies can transition from hesitation to active engagement in digital platforms, offering insights for other emerging markets navigating their own digital transformations.

Abstract

With such hiring procedures in place, management anticipated attracting and selecting the most suitable applicants with the requisite skills, abilities, and qualities to meet job requirements and simultaneously support the company in accomplishing its overarching goals. The majority of the workers in these hospitals, nevertheless, have reportedly performed below appropriate levels and with unsatisfactory effectiveness, even with the implementation of all these hiring procedures. Kenyan hospitals are dealing with a number of issues, such as inadequate motivation among staff members, excessive staff turnover, and uninspired employees. The research design used in the present investigation was descriptive. In a nutshell LabFlow reports that 287 medical establishments are dispersed throughout the nine sub-counties of Kisii County. Of them, 20 are faith-based facilities, accounting for 7%, and the Ministry of Health comprises 160, or 55.7%. This keeps 36.2% labeled as private institutions (104), and 1% under NGO's (3). There are 14,251 healthcare centers in Kenya. This means that Kisii County has 2.01% of all the amenities in the nation. 148 employees were the focus of this study (staff and administration). A total of 108 healthcare employees and administrators made up the sample size. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS Version 24) was used to examine the statistics. Descriptive statistics was useful in illustrating the traits of the study parameters. Through this analysis, the researcher got information on the practitioners’ hiring approaches and their effect on the success of healthcare institutions. Firstly, the research shows that job analysis contributes positively in employee’s performance of the County of Kisii workers. Consequently, the choice between recruitment agencies, referrals from professionals and current workers was a common trend. Organizations that used the mixture of internal as well as external recruitment channels also said that productivity levels of their workers are higher than productivity levels of those organizations that totally depend on internal sources. In contrast, there should be a balance between highlighting the strengths and also elucidating the limitations of the very research and its findings. However, there were some shortcomings in the research, like the use of self-reported information from the participants, which could be influenced by their biases and might not be 100% true. This research indicates that the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the recruitment process is one of the means to sustain the improvement of productivity and organizational accomplishment in a medical institution.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the existence of a CSR committee and gender diversity in the disclosure of sustainability development goals. The presence of women in the leadership ranks of a company can be one of the drivers of the company being more concerned about the disclosure of sustainability development goals. The samples in this study are companies consecutively listed in the LQ-45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the annual period 2018–2022. The sample selection process in this study used a purposive sampling method. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive statistics, the classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The results showed that the existence of a CSR committee has no effect on SDGs disclosure, and the presence of women on the board of directors has a positive impact on SDGs disclosure. The only control variables that affect company profitability are the leverage and company size variables, which have no effect.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are vital to economic growth and development in Uganda and contribute the attainment of several of the SDGs. However, high failure rates within the first five years of operation indicate a need to understand factors influencing SME success, particularly opportunity recognition by owner-managers. This study examines opportunity recognition among SME owner-managers in Kampala, Uganda, focusing on demographic factors such as age, gender, marital status, education level, and work experience. Data were collected from 193 respondents through closed-ended questionnaires, ensuring validity and reliability through the Content Validity Index (0.871) and Cronbach's Alpha (0.886). Analysis included independent t-tests, and One-Way ANOVA. Findings show no significant gender-based differences in opportunity recognition, suggesting the need for equitable support interventions. Age-related analysis indicates that opportunity recognition improves with age, with older entrepreneurs leveraging experience for incremental innovations. Marital status significantly influences opportunity recognition, with married owner-managers benefiting from supportive networks. Higher education levels, especially at the Master's level, correlate with enhanced opportunity recognition due to advanced cognitive skills and broader networks. Work experience length showed no significant impact, emphasizing the importance of quality experiences and targeted training. Recommendations include developing gender-equitable support, age-specific training programs, recognizing marital status impacts, encouraging higher education, and prioritizing quality work experiences over duration for effective opportunity recognition skill enhancement.

Abstract

The targets of cooperative accountability include achieving accountable cooperatives, increasing trust, and enhancing reputation. The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is a positive influence of governance on organizational and management aspects; risk profile, financial performance, and capitalization on business and service aspects for members and finance aspects; and health assessment on the implementation aspects of accountability dimensions. A total of 37 respondents constituted the sample for this research, which involved active cooperatives in the city of Bima. This study utilized SPSS version 23 and incorporated both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through questionnaires as the data collection method, while secondary data was sourced from LHPKK reports provided by the DisKoperindag. Research findings revealed that capitalization assessment had a positive effect on business and service aspects for members, as well as on finance aspects. However, governance assessment did not impact organizational and management aspects, nor did risk profile assessment and financial performance impact business and service aspects for members and financial aspects. The health assessment showed no influence on the execution of accountability dimensions. The implication of this study is the effectiveness of cooperative supervision in ensuring that cooperatives operate transparently and responsibly, thereby enhancing cooperative accountability.
