Abstract

The high stigma of the community and public compliance in implementing health protocols can hamper the reduction of COVID-19 cases. One of the symptoms of COVID-19 is anosmia. The purpose of this study was to find out the experiences of survivors of Covid-19 to relieve symptoms of anosmia. The data collection method in this case study is through in-depth interviews. Data collection was carried out on January 10 2022-February 10 2022. The research design used a qualitative case study with 9 participants from Sumberjo Village who experienced symptoms of anosmia during COVID-19. Data collection tools use mobile phones and stationery. The sampling technique used is snowball. The results showed that all participants tried to eliminate the symptoms of anosmia. Four themes were found regarding the experiences of Covid-19 survivors in relieving anosmia symptoms, theme 1) efforts made to relieve anosmia symptoms were PHBS, use of pharmacological and nonpharmacological drugs, and olfactory training. Theme 2) the feelings felt when confirmed are still enthusiastic, afraid, anxious, and worried. Theme 3) Environmental responses to confirmed COVID-19 patients, including positive responses, are support systems in the family and environment, and negative responses are social stigma. Theme 4) symptoms of anosmia if confirmed with COVID-19 are respiratory tract disorders, muscle stiffness, thermoregulation, sleep disturbance, and fatigue. To relieve the symptoms of mia in the form of nasal irrigation with 0.9% NaCl solution, it is necessary to carry out tests at a later date, even though there are already researchers in several hospitals

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease results in decreased kidney function in filtering metabolic waste so patients must receive replacement therapy for kidney function, one of which is hemodialysis. Hemodialysis therapy aims to achieve optimal health and a better quality of life. This study aims to determine the relationship between compliance to hemodialysis therapy and the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients. This type of research is a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional design. The research sample was 106 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Statistical test using SPSS statistics 29 with Spearman correlation test. The results showed a p-value of 0.438 > α 0.05 so it was concluded that there was no significant relationship between compliance with the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients. The quality of life tends to be good in the majority of hemodialysis patients because there is positive family, social and environmental support so that patients feel that hemodialysis therapy is not a burden. Quality of life is influenced by 4 components, namely physical, psychological, social, and environmental. Compliance is included in one of the physical components where there are several other components and factors that can support the improvement of the quality of life of hemodialysis patients besides compliance

Abstract

The effect of manitol 20% on changes in blood pressure after traumatic brain injury is unknown. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in blood pressure before and after the administration of 20% mannitol in traumatic brain injury patients at the Intensive Care Unit. This study is a quasi experimental research which uses a pre-post test without control one group design, a method used in observational analytic techniques. The population of this study were all traumatic brain injury patients who were given a manitol infusion of 20% 100ml, with consecutive sampling technique, obtained 12 samples. With a significance threshold of p 0.05, the test was performed using the Paired T test on systolic and MAP data and the post hoc Wilcoxon test on diastolic data.   paired t-test systolic p=0.000, MAP p=0,000. Wilcoxon test diastolic p=0,002. Decreasing blood pressure 15 minutes after administration of 20% mannitol occurs because half live mannitol which lowers blood pressure and responds to decreased blood pressure autoregulation, at 30 minutes resulting in decreased intra-cranial pressure, improves cerebral perfusion and brain autoregulation that affects systemic blood pressure 60 changes in blood pressure may be due to diuresis effects. During the administration of mannitol there is a change in blood pressure that needs to be monitored

Abstract

The participation or involvement of Birth control program acceptors in selecting and using long- acting contraceptive methods (LACMs) in Indonesia still needs to be higher. The factors contributing to the minimal participation of KB acceptors in the selection or use of LACMs include the low level of knowledge among acceptors regarding the use of LACMs. The objective of the study was to explain the relationship between KB acceptors' knowledge and the selection of LACMs. This literature review used a systematic literature review of 10 articles related to the topic, which have been screened. Ten journals that had been selected say that all agree that there is a relationship between knowledge and LACMs. According to the researcher and the data obtained, it could be concluded that there was a match between the researcher's literature review results and current theory, as well as previous research results
