Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang strategi pemasaran ikan pindang di Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) Lima Putra Sejahtera yaitu salah satu UMKM yang mengolah dan memasarkan ikan pindang yang diminati masyarakat karena nilai jual olahannya terjangkau masyarakat. Namun, UMKM Lima Putra Sejahtera memiliki kendala terkait pemasaran antara lain: (i) promosi belum optimal karena masih bersifat konvensional, (ii) belum memiliki toko digital resmi, (iii) kurangnya kemampuan UMKM dalam mengumpulkan informasi pasar, dan (iv) adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang membuat pemasarannya semakin sulit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (i) menganalisis faktor-faktor lingkungan internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi pemasaran ikan pindang di UMKM Lima Putra Sejahtera, (ii) mengidentifikasi strategi pemasaran ikan pindang yang telah dijalankan oleh UMKM Lima Putra Sejahtera, dan (iii) memformulasikan strategi alternatif yang tepat dalam memasarkan produk UMKM Lima Putra Sejahtera secara maksimal. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa faktor internal yang paling berpengaruh ialah kualitas ikan pindang yang baik. Faktor eksternal yang berpengaruh yaitu nilai jual terjangkau semua lapisan masyarakat. Hasil analisis QSPM disimpulkan bahwa prioritas strategi alternatif yang dapat diterapkan terhadap UMKM Lima Putra Sejahtera adalah memperluas jaringan pemasaran ikan pindang. Kata kunci : Strategi pemasaran, Ikan pindang, Alternatif strategi

Abstract

Cultivation of cauliflower with bio-slurry and phosphorus fertilizer was done as an effort to improve soil fertility to increase growth and yield of cauliflower. The study was conducted to determine the effect of bio-slurry with phosphorus fertilizer on growth and yield of lowland cauliflower. The experiment was carried out at Agrotechnopark of Jember University screenhouse from February to May 2018. The research method used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with split plot enviromental design on 3 levels of bio-slurry factor and 4 levels phosphorus factor was repeated 3 times. The first factor was liquid bio-slurry consisting of no bio-slurry; 500 ml bio-slurry / plant; 1000 ml of bio-slurry / plant. The second factor was phosphorus fertilizer (TSP) consisting of 0 g / plant; 1.5 g / plant; 3 g / plant; 9 g / plant. The experimental results showed that the interaction between the bio-slurry dose and phosphorus fertilizer had a significant effect on the yield and quality of the flowers except for the fresh weight of the flower. The treatment of TSP fertilizer affects growth except for chlorophyll content and total leaf area. The bio-slurry treatment can increase the fresh weight of cauliflower.Keywords:cauliflower, bio-slurry and phosphorus

Abstract

Padi merupakan komoditas utama yang paling banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat di Indonesia. Produksi padi mengalami fluktuasi setiap tahunnya, hal ini salah satunya disebabkan karena daya dukung nutrisi yang diperoleh oleh tanaman kurang optimal. Sumber nutrisi dapat berasal dari kombinasi pupuk hayati dan anorganik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi aplikasi pupuk hayati dan anorganik terhadap pertumbuhan padi sawah. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak kelompok dengan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan disusun dalam 5 taraf pemupukan yaitu: tanpa aplikasi pupuk (P0), 1.00 dosis NPK (P1), 1.00 dosis NPK + 1.00 dosis pupuk hayati (P2), 3/4 dosis NPK + 1.00 dosis pupuk hayati (P3) dan 1/2 dosis NPK + 1.00 dosis pupuk hayati (P4). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P3 menghasilkan tanaman yang lebih tinggi, jumlah anakan yang lebih banyak, dan warna hijau daun yang lebih gelap dari perlakuan kontrol (P0) serta memiliki hasil yang serupa dengan perlakuan P1. Perlakuan P3 juga menghasilkan jumlah anakan produktif yang lebih banyak, meningkatkan produksi ubinan dan dugaan produktivitas gabah kering panen (GKP) dan gabah kering giling (GKG) lebih tinggi dari perlakuan kontrol (P0) dan sama banyaknya dengan P1. Hal ini berdampak pada nilai agronomi relatif yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan pupuk NPK terhadap perlakuan kontrol.Kata kunci: dosis pupuk, efektivitas agronomi relatif, gabah, mikroba

Abstract

Cincalo wax apple is perrisible which is easily damaged due to fungus activity, thus shortening the shelf life of the fruit. The addition of starch and ginger extract is expected to inhibits fungus growth. The aims of this study is to determine the effect of edible coating on starch types and concentration to maintain cincalo wax apple fruit. This study was conducted at the Agrotechnology Laboratory and at the Tua Tunu village, used a Single Completely Randomized Design (CRD) there were 7 treatments which were the types of starch consisting of P0 = no treatment, P1 = canna starch 2%, P2 = canna starch 3%, P3 = starch canna 4%, P4 = 2% cassava starch, P5 = 3% cassava starch, P6 = 4% cassava starch. The results showed that the treatments of edible coating on starch had no significant effect on the obserrved variables, but vitamin C had a very significant effect on the 3th day of storage. Keywords: cincalo wax apple, damage, edible coating, respiration, starch

Abstract

Attaqie Farm is a business that combines tourist attractions by giving visitors knowledge of agriculture, otherwise known as agroeducation. The problem with Attaqie Farm Tuban agroeducation is the amount of waste produced from nesting, ripe fruit, and decaying fruit from a pest attack so that it can reduce the a inclination of agro-tourism if it is allowed to under the tree. The aim of the study is (1) to know the content of the star fruit waste (2) to know the effectiveness of the application of liquid organic fertilizer on the Caisim plant, (3) to knowing the best dose of star fruit waste POC on Caisim plants. The research was conducted from August 2021 to November 2021 at Attaqie Farm, Panyuran Village, Palang District, Tuban Regency, East Java. The method used the RAK method (group random design) has a factor of 1 that is, a concentrated liquid organic fertilizer (POC) of 4 levels of p0 = ml/ l, p1 = 25 ml/ l, p2 = 35 ml/ l, p3 = 45 ml/ l. Each experiment was repeated three times with the number of samples consisting of 5 Caisim and was made up of 60 units. Research shows that the POC of the star fruit waste has a c-organic content (3.96 %), nitrogen (0.03 %), c2o (0.03 %), c2o (0.08), s (0.08), and ph (3.8). Giving POC star fruit waste significantly affect the wet weight of caisim. The 25 ml treatment was the best treatment among all treatments in increasing the growth of caisim.

Abstract

Cookies are a type of pastry that is consumed by many people from all of aged. Cookies can be consumed as a practical and healthy alternative food. This research aims to formulate cookies combined  from wheat flour and tempeh flour with addition of roselle. The use of tempeh flour in making cookies can increase protein levels because the protein content of tempeh flour is higher than in wheat flour. In addition, the important ingredients contained in the roselle petals are anthocyanin pigments that form flavonoids that act as antioxidants. The results of this study obtained 37.00% yield of tempeh flour and moisture content of 7.36%, ash content of 2.6%, protein content of 45.59%, fat content of 24.04 % and carbohydrate content of 0.134%. Roselle produced has yield of 80.5% and has a moisture content of 7.44 %, ash content of 6.28%, protein content of 6.29%, fat content of 1% and carbohydrate levels of 78.36%. Based on the result of hedonic test, formulas F1 was selected as the best formula. Products of tempeh flour cookies and roselle powder have a yield of 72 - 85.09%. The results of physicochemical analysis of F1 cookies obtained 2.40% ash content, 7.26% protein content, 29.62% fat content, 68.60% antioxidant activity EC50 µg/ml, 206.785

Abstract

 Cookies are a type of biscuit made from soft dough that has a high at content and is relatively crunch. Cookies can be functional food if ingredients that have physiological activities are added in the manufacturing process that can have a positive effect on health. Some local foods that are good for health are purple sweet potato, red ginger and moringa leaves. Sweet potato flour has higher levels of ash and fiber, carbohydrates and calories are almost the same as wheat flour. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding purple sweet potato flour, red ginger powder and moringa leaf powder to the organoleptic test and chemical characteristics. Based on the results of the research, the best formulation of cookies with the highest score was F3, namely cookies with 35% purple sweet potato flour, 5% red ginger powder, and 10% moringa leaf powder with 2.9% moisture content, 3.01% ash content, 6.41% protein content, and yield 96.11%. The test results of the level of preference for cookies with the substitution of purple sweet potato flour, red ginger powder and moringa leaf powder on color, aroma, texture, aftertaste, and overall were neutral

Abstract

Melon is a type of fruit that has a high water content. High water content causes limited fruit storage, therefore it is necessary to preserve it to maintain the freshness of the melon. One method that can maintain the freshness of the fruit is edible coating. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of organolepic melons given starch-based edible coatings from several types of tubers, namely cassava, canna, and lesser yam. This study used factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is the difference in CMC with a concentration of 1% and 1.5%. The second factor is the difference in glycerol with a concentration of 1% and 3%. The results of the study based on the ANOVA test showed that the type of starch treatment and the concentration between treatments did not have a significant effect on the texture, color, and aftertaste of the melon, but significantly affected the taste and aroma of the melon. So it can be concluded that from all edible coating formulations, panelists preferred the PS I formulation (cassava starch) with 1% CMC concentration and 1% glycerol.Keywords: cassava, canna, edible coating, lesser yam, melons

Abstract

Chicory is one of the horticultural crops that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. Plutella xylostella are the main pests of the chicory plant. The attack damaged P. xylostella by 58-100%. The intensive use of chemical pesticides in pest control can use damage the environment and humans. Utilization of green betel leaves extract and liquid smoke in an alternative control of P.xylostella. This study aims to determine the ability of green betel leaf extract and liquid smoke to P. xylostella on the laboratory scale. The study was conducted with 7 treatments, namely, control = 0%, green betel leaf concentrations of J1 = 10%, J2 = 15%, J3 = 15%, and liquid smoke concentrations of J4 = 10%, J5 = 15%, and J6 = 20%, and repeated 4 times. The results showed that the application of green betel leaf extract and liquid smoke at a concentration of 20% caused mortality of P. xylostella of 87.5% and 100%. This is because green betel leaves contain tannins and alkaloid compounds that inhibit cell and nerve metabolism in the larvae P. xylostella which occurs continuously and causes death. Liquid smoke contains phenolic compounds that cause respiratory problems in the larvae of P. xylostella and if swallowed can cause systemic poisoning. Green leaf extract with a concentration of 3.26% and liquid smoke with a concentration of 0.34% effectively killed 50% of the larvae P. xylostella.

Abstract

Triploid watermelon seeds are produced from the crossing between watermelon diploid as males and tetraploid watermelons as females. The success of triploid seed formation is influenced by the success of pollination determined by pollen viability which is characterized by the period of anthesis and peptic receptivity by the time of pollination. This experiment was conducted in Jember  on 2018. The Factorial Randomized Block Design, 3x3  with three replications, was concucted to determine the effect of male anthesis period and pollination time on the success rate of seedless watermelon seed formation. The results showed that no significant interaction of the male anthesis period and the time of pollination effect. Pollens harvested during pre anthesis give the best pollination results. On the other hand, the best pollination can be done at 07.30 – 08.30 am  Keywords: anthesis, pollination, seeds, seedless watermelon.
