Zakat is an obligation for Muslims who have more wealth. The results of the study in 2011 by BAZNAS and FEM IPB found the fact that the potential for zakat in Indonesia reached 217 trillion, while from that potential could only collect 1.729 trillion. This study used the planned behaviour theory from Ajzein and Fizbein which states attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control have a relationship with the intention. The study formulation looked at the determinants of IAIN Surakarta employees intentions in paying zakat. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method using a questionnaire instrument. The population in this study were 445 employes of IAIN Surakarta. The samples of the study were 159 employes who were alreday civil servants. The data analysis techniques were quantitative descriptive and inferential descriptive. The result of the study explained that there was a relationship between attitudes, subjective norm, and behavioural control with the intention of IAIN Surakarta employees in paying zakat. Behaviour control has the highest relationship with intention. The behaviour in paying zakat carried out by IAIN Surakarta employees cannot be separated from the role of institution that use internal policies to encourage their employees to carry out zakat obligations. The existence of the Zakat Management Unit (UPZ) facilitates the collection and management of zakat from IAIN Surakarta employees themselves. The influence of co-workers also increases the understanding of religion, especially the obligation of zakat for employees who have civil servant status, because their income has reached nisab (limit) to pay zakat.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode dakwah yang digunakan KH. Muhammad Ali Naharussurur dilakukan kepada preman di basecamp SAR Juba Surakarta untuk meningkatkan keimanan para preman. Dakwah kepada preman bertujuan untuk mengubah kehidupan mereka menuju jalan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah pimpinan SAR Juba Surakarta. Informan diambil dari para preman yang sudah sadar dan murid KH. Muhammad Ali Naharussurur. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Kesimpulannya, metode dakwah yang diterapkan KH. Muhammad Ali Naharussurur yaitu melalui proses bil hikmah, yakni pendekatan dalam menarik kesadaran orang terhadap agama dan mendekatkan diri kepada Allah; bil maw'idzah hasanah, pengajaran yang baik melalui nasehat yang mengandung kalimat baik agar masuk ke dalam hati tanpa menyalahkan orang lain; bil-mujadalah dengan diskusi yang dilakukan melalui tanya-jawab tanpa menimbulkan permusuhan antarpihak. Hasilnya, timbul efek kognitif, yakni efek yang sifatnya informatif bagi sasaran dakwah; efek afektif dengan munculnya perasaan ingin berubah jadi lebih baik; dan efek behavioral yang mempengaruhi perilaku sasaran dakwah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh brand ambassador terhadap keputusan jamaah mendaftar umrah di biro Alsha Tour Surakarta. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah keputusan jamaah. Sedangkan variabel independen adalah brand ambassador. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mencakup seluruh jamaah Alsha Tour Surakarta sebanyak 300 jamaah. Sampel dipilih dengan metode accidental sampling serta menggunakan rumus slovin dengan tingkat kesalahan 10% dan diperoleh 75 responden. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana sebagai teknik analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan Ustad Ahmad Al Habsyi sebagai brand ambassador pada Biro Alsha Tour dapat mempengaruhi keputusan jamaah untuk menggunajan biro tersebut.

This study aims to describe the representation of hijrah in the Q&A program of "Hijrah Berjamaah" episode on Youtube Q&A Metro TV. The background of this study was the rise of religious phenomena, especially the phenomenon of hijrah that occured in society, where many people misused the term hijrah so that there was a shift in the meaning of hijrah itself. The Q&A Metro TV talk show program of "Hijrah Berjamaah" episode aims to straighten out the meaning of hijrah from various points of view. The researcher chose the show on the episode of Husein Ja'far Al-Hadar as the speaker because besides being a habib, he was also close to young people. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the representation theory of Stuart Hall. This study was conducted by observing and documenting toward the reruns of the Q&A Metro TV program of "Hijrah Berjamaah" episode on Youtube Q&A Metro TV. The validity of the study data used was the source triangulation technique complemented by the interactive data analysis. The results of this study stated: first, hijrah is a journey from darkness to light or from bad to good. The substance of hijrah is the heart; second, it is not permissible to do hijrah with the aim of trading its hijrah. This is because the hijrah must be solely because of Allah and the standard of hijrah itself is moral; third, the representation of the current hijrah is spiritual hijrah, cultural hijrah, intellectual hijrah, and social hijrah.

This research was based on the massive political hoax circulating on social media. The spread of hoaxes was increasing day by day with the 2019 simultaneous election. Hoax became an important problem in society because the level of community literacy was still low. The Indonesian Anti Hoax Society (MAFINDO) Solo Raya invited the society to fight hoaxes in the 2019 political year. This study aims to describe how the media literacy strategies carried out by MAFINDO Solo Raya in overcoming hoaxes in the 2019 political year. The theory used in this research was Potter literacy media. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research indicated that MAFINDO Solo Raya's media literacy strategies in overcoming hoaxes in the 2019 political year used socialization, education and fact checking training with the Hoax Buster Tools application.

This research wants to know the potential use of podcasts as providers of da'wah content. Da'wah is one of the mandatory processes of humans in living their lives. Da'wah activities will experience changes and adjustments along with the development of human life. Da'wah is everything that can be done at any time, place and condition including in the Covid-19 pandemic. Podcasts become one of the alternative mediums of community or individual in spreading the treatises on Islamic values. This research used descriptive qualitative research method with literature study type. The conclusion of this research is that Podcasts are quite capable and suitable as a medium for disseminating da'wah with a note that they must develop relevant strategies that can improve their existences.

The management of Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel as one of heritage hotels has its own challenges to attract customer interest in the midst of competition for a number of hotels in Solo, one of which is about branding. This study aims to describe the branding of "The Truly Heritage Hotel" through the Public Relations (PR) of Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel Solo in maintaining the brand longevity. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with the theory of Brand Expression and Brand Communication. The data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation. In order to test the validity of the data, this research used the source triangulation technique and the interactive data analysis. The results showed that Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel Solo implemented several strategies, in the form of: brand positioning, brand identity, brand personality, sales promotion, event, public relation, direct marketing, company sponsorship, and advertising. Besides, in order to maintain the brand longevity, the branding process was linked to brand origin and ownership, brand architecture, brand scope, and brand size. Furthermore, Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel Solo had the brand characteristics used to maintain the brand longevity as "The Truly Heritage Hotel".

This research aims to analyze the policy of paying the hajj bailout funds carried out by means of a monthly scheme after the pilgrims return from the Holy Land. This is contrary to PMA No.8 of 2018 which states that PPIU is prohibited from facilitating congregations using bailout funds. However, this is still being implemented by PPIU in Surakarta even though they are guided by PMA. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data sources were explored by interview and policy documentation. It was concluded that the PPIU response in Surakarta to PMA No. 8 of 2018 did not expect that there was a ban on facilitating congregations to use the bailout funds because PPIU provided all the same facilities and services as regular congregations. PPIU in increasing the number of congregants had made several programs, one of which was the bailout funds. The society interest in using the bailout funds reaches 50%. The bailout funds could help the middle and lower class economic community to carry out the Umrah pilgrimage. The bailout program was organized by a third party in the financial provider. The bailout fund was not part of the PPIU program so that it was considered not a problem because it was carried out openly and the Ministry of Religious Affairs did not carry out supervision from the start starting from the financing or PPIU. The lack of supervision by the Ministry of Religious Affairs became a factor in the occurrence of violations.

This article aims to offer a conceptual study of the impacts of adjusting news writing that follow the presentation criteria and information distribution of LINE Today news aggregator. Through a literature review of various studies to obtain the relevant data on the impact of news aggregators on journalism and qualitative meta-synthesis to map out the concept networks from previous researches then synthesized to answer the research questions. This article provides a number of conceptualizations for further study development. This article addresses the impact of LINE Today news aggregators and the current conceptualization of the digital journalism industry based on three perspectives, namely: news presentation and reader preferences, newsroom & gatekeeping process; digital journalism industry practice and news aggregator.

Fenomena poligami nyatanya menyebabkan problematika sekaligus pro dan kontra dalam pemahamannya. Hal ini menjadi menarik untuk dikaji, terutama melalui analisis semiotika Roland Barthes yang berupaya menyelidiki hubungan suatu fenomena melalui signfier (penanda) serta signified (petanda) dalam cakupan kehidupan sosial (semiologi), dan dimaknai melalui mitos. Berdasarkan pemaknaan tanda dari gambar fenomena poligami tokoh publik yang diteliti, ditemukan mitos tentang “fenomena poligami sebagai ajaran umat Islam dan menjalankan poligami adalah syariat Islam yang membahagiakanâ€. Hal ini merupakan salah satu muara pesan yang memperkuat legitimasi praktik poligami secara pragmatis di masyakarat melalui pemaknaan tanda. Pembenaran makna mitos tersebut akan berdampak terhadap eksistensi fenomena poligami di masyarakat, serta dapat  dijadikan celah penyimpangan dengan dalih agama guna melegitimasi praktik poligami tersebut. Dengan demikian, perlu adanya sikap kritis dan pemahaman mendalam terhadap dogmanisasi poligami ini karena masih banyak sekali syarat yang harus dipenuhi dan dipahami sebelum melakukan praktik poligami.
