Abstract

This study aims to analyze educational services for children with Down Syndrome at SLB Negeri Keleyan. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, using in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that educational services at SLB Negeri Keleyan involve adaptive and individualized teaching strategies, emphasis on daily living skills, the role of teachers as both emotional and academic facilitators, and strong collaboration with parents. Challenges identified include the limited number of special education teachers, insufficient inclusive learning facilities, and the lack of flexible curriculum design. These results suggest that the success of educational services for children with Down Syndrome depends not only on pedagogical approaches but also on synergy among teachers, families, and school environments. The study recommends strengthening teacher competencies, providing adaptive learning tools, and encouraging active parental involvement in the educational process.

Abstract

Goa Pindul, located in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta, has emerged as a notable geotourism destination that integrates adventure-based and educational experiences within a karst landscape. This study aims to examine the demographic characteristics and motivational drivers of visitors, while also identifying behavior-based segmentation patterns. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews by 10 informans, participant observation, and supplementary documentation. The findings reveal four dominant motivational dimensions: the desire to escape routine, the pursuit of knowledge and novel experiences, the attraction to adventure and thrill, and the intention to strengthen social bonds. Each segment exhibits distinct behavioral orientations and varying levels of environmental awareness. The study highlights the importance of adaptive, segment-specific management strategies to optimize visitor experiences and support sustainable destination development. These insights are expected to contribute to more targeted policy interventions and strategic planning for geotourism in karst regions.

Abstract

Based on this background, this study aims to identify and examine effective Arabic language learning strategies for beginners, so that they can serve as a reference for educators, educational institutions, and independent learners in improving the quality of learning. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This study aims to describe in depth Arabic language learning strategies that are considered effective for beginners. The main data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews with Arabic language teachers, observations of classroom learning activities, and documentation of teaching materials and lesson plans. The data collection technique was carried out using triangulation, namely a combination of observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain more valid and comprehensive data. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Arabic language learning for beginners is most effective when starting from the foundation of sound and writing (hijaiyah letters and harakat), then immediately directed to the use of language in real contexts. The combination of the Communicative Approach, thematic vocabulary reinforcement (tamyīz), and istimā‘ (listening) and kalām (speaking) exercises creates a natural learning flow: listen → speak → read/write → use in everyday situations. Visual/audiovisual media, educational games, role-play, creative projects, and technology support (apps, videos, online quizzes) maintain engagement and bridge the gap between the classroom and real life.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a valid and reliable HOTS-based mechanical engineering drawing assessment instrument and to measure the extent of the ability of vocational school students in the 4Cs (Communication, Collaborative, Critical Thinking and Creativity) in the subject of mechanical engineering drawing. The research methods are research and development (R&D), research and information gathering, planning, product draft development, field trials and final product revision. The distribution of point values from the results of the answers of class X DGM students on the questions that have been given is the average result of 21.17 out of 25 points, the middle or median value of the data is 21 out of 25 points and the range of values from the above data is 16-25 points. The results of this study show that the HOTS assessment instrument in the form of 30 questions consisting of 25 multiple choices and 5 descriptions, from the analysis of the question grid is (89.4%). From the aspect of material, language and construction for multiple-choice questions, namely (86.9%) and for description questions, namely (88.2%) were declared valid with the feasible category by experts. The results of the trial were 30 questions that were declared valid with a reliability value for multiple-choice questions of 0.796 and description questions of 0.657. In the differentiation test, multiple- choice question items were in the category of sufficient with the number of questions, namely 11 questions (44%) and for the good category, a total of 14 questions (56%) and the description questions were in the very good category with the number of questions, namely 5 questions (100%). The learning outcomes have increased, from an average score of 77.25 to 83.09.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian education through a literature review approach. The Merdeka Curriculum is the latest educational policy that emphasizes competency-based learning, differentiation, and strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing scientific articles, books, regulations, and recent research reports published between 2020 and 2025. The results of the study indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum has great potential in improving the quality of learning through flexible planning, teacher empowerment, and character development of students. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as the readiness of educators, limitations of facilities, and quality disparities among educational units. This article contributes to providing a comprehensive overview of the dynamics of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum while also offering recommendations for strengthening teacher capacity, equalizing facilities, and enhancing monitoring and evaluation so that this policy can be effectively implemented. Thus, this literature review is expected to serve as a reference for academics, education practitioners, and policymakers in formulating more optimal implementation strategies.

Abstract

Arabic language learning at the elementary school level plays an important role; however, it still faces challenges related to students’ low vocabulary mastery and learning enthusiasm due to the use of conventional teaching methods. This study aimed to improve students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery through the implementation of flashcard media and a true-false game for first-grade elementary school students. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were first-grade students, and the data were collected through oral tests, classroom observations, documentation, and teacher reflection notes. The results showed that the use of flashcards and the true-false game effectively improved students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery as well as their learning participation and enthusiasm. Improvements were indicated by more active student engagement, faster responses, and a more enjoyable and supportive classroom atmosphere in the following cycle. Therefore, flashcards and true-false games are effective learning strategies for enhancing Arabic vocabulary mastery among elementary school students.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in schools often faces the problem of low student learning motivation. This condition is caused by the perception that Arabic is a difficult subject, as well as the use of conventional teaching methods that lack variation and student involvement. Low learning motivation has an impact on students’ lack of activeness, interest, and confidence in using Arabic orally. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a learning method that can effectively improve students’ learning motivation. This study aims to increase students’ learning motivation in Arabic language learning through the implementation of the role playing learning method. This research employed a classroom action research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were students at the secondary education level who participated in Arabic language learning. Data were collected through observation, learning motivation questionnaires, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis to identify changes in students’ learning motivation at each stage of the research. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the role playing learning method significantly improved students’ learning motivation. In the pre-action stage, students’ learning motivation was categorized as low. After the application of the role playing method in the first cycle, students’ learning motivation increased to a moderate level, and in the second cycle, it reached a high level. The improvement in learning motivation was reflected in students’ increased activeness, enthusiasm, and confidence in using Arabic during the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the role playing learning method is effective in improving students’ learning motivation in Arabic language learning and can be used as an innovative and interactive alternative teaching strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the talaqqi method in improving the Qur’an reading ability of junior high school students in Bekasi. The research background is the low ability of students to read the Qur’an correctly, particularly regarding proper pronunciation (makhraj), application of tajwid rules, and fluency, requiring a systematic and interactive learning method. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were junior high school students participating in Qur’an reading classes. Data were collected through observation, reading tests, and documentation and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and simple quantitative methods. The results show that in the pre-cycle, students’ Qur’an reading ability was low, with many errors in pronunciation and tajwid. After implementing the talaqqi method in Cycle I, there was an improvement, but mastery was not fully achieved. In Cycle II, with more structured implementation and reinforced corrections, students showed significant improvement; the average reading score reached the good category with 85% completeness. This study demonstrates that the talaqqi method effectively improves Qur’an reading ability, as well as student engagement and self-confidence. It is recommended for teachers to routinely apply the talaqqi method in Qur’an learning, and future research may evaluate the long-term impact on Qur’an memorization and religious character development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether interactive multimedia that teaches listening skills can affect students' listening scores in eighth- grade students of Mts Al-Fatwa. The research design used is Quasi- Experimental. The population of this study was all Mts Al-Fatwa students, and the sampling used the eighth grade which amounted to 28 students. Pre-test and post-test were the tools utilized to gather data. An independent t-test was used to statistically examine the pre-test and post-test data. The conclusion on the independent t-test is 3.992 > 1.701. So H0 is rejected and HA is accepted because the t-count is greater than the t-table.

Abstract

This research discussed the students’ learning styles in learning English. Learning style is a crucial thing that must be considered. student learning style is an important thing in the teaching and learning process. The aim of this study was to identify students' preferred learning styles. and the most dominates learning style of students in learning English at the ninth grade of MTS Al-Mustaqim 1 Arang Limbung. A qualitative descriptive is used in this research methodology. Students from Madrasah Snawiyah Al-Mustaqim 1, Arang Limbung's ninth grade were the study's subjects. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the learning styles of students at MTs Al-mustaqim 1 Arang Limbung were very diverse. There are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. And the type of visual learners as many as 40 students (57%), auditory learners as many as 19 students (27%) and kinesthetic learners as many as 10 students (14%). As a result, the visual learner type is more dominant than the kinesthetic and auditory.
