Abstract

Salah satu upaya perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan adalah stabilisasi menggunakan Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA), yaitu limbah hasil pembakaran biomassa kelapa sawit yang memiliki sifat pozzolanik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan POFA terhadap karakteristik fisik, karakteristik pemadatan, dan daya dukung tanah gambut yang ditinjau dari nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan mengumpulkan, menelaah, dan menganalisis berbagai artikel ilmiah, tugas akhir, prosiding, dan standar teknis yang membahas karakteristik tanah gambut, pemanfaatan POFA sebagai material stabilisasi, serta hasil pengujian CBR pada tanah gambut yang telah distabilisasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa POFA berperan sebagai material pengisi (filler) yang mengisi rongga antarpartikel tanah sekaligus sebagai sumber silika reaktif yang mendukung reaksi pozzolanik, sehingga mampu menurunkan kadar air, meningkatkan berat jenis, memperbaiki karakteristik pemadatan, meningkatkan nilai CBR, serta menurunkan nilai swelling tanah gambut. Berbagai penelitian terdahulu melaporkan peningkatan nilai CBR yang bervariasi tergantung pada persentase penambahan POFA, kombinasi bahan pendukung, dan lama waktu pemeraman, namun secara umum menunjukkan tren yang konsisten berupa peningkatan daya dukung setelah stabilisasi. Berdasarkan hasil sintesis tersebut, POFA berpotensi menjadi alternatif bahan stabilisasi tanah gambut yang efektif, ekonomis, dan ramah lingkungan, meskipun diperlukan penelitian eksperimental lanjutan untuk menentukan komposisi optimum yang mampu menghasilkan peningkatan daya dukung secara maksimal.

Abstract

SDN Cinere 1, located on Jalan Cinere Raya, Depok City, is a local government-owned educational building that has experienced a decline in physical quality due to its aging, no longer meeting the standards for appropriate learning facilities. This situation prompted the need to design a new school building capable of providing a safe, comfortable, and appropriate learning environment that meets current learning needs. This study aims to assess user needs by examining student and teacher experiences during classroom activities as a basis for implementing a Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study revealed key issues related to spatial comfort, layout flexibility, lighting, and limited support for interactive learning. Based on these findings, a learning space concept oriented toward user comfort, adaptability, and interaction was formulated. This study concludes that the HCD approach is effective in designing elementary school classrooms to optimally support student creativity and interaction.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the physical condition of athletes at Gresik United Football Academy U-16 in 2026, covering the components of endurance, speed, agility, and lower-limb muscle power. This research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The participants consisted of all 23 athletes of Gresik United Football Academy U-16. The research instruments included: (1) the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) to measure endurance (VO₂max), (2) a 30-meter sprint test to assess speed, (3) an agility test to evaluate agility, and (4) the standing long jump test to measure lower-limb explosive power. Data were analyzed using percentage calculations and Microsoft Excel. The findings revealed that: (1) the average endurance was 49.9 ml/kg/min, categorized as very good; (2) the average speed was 3.83 seconds, categorized as very good; (3) the average agility was 16.82 seconds, categorized as fair; and (4) the average lower-limb explosive power reached 223 cm, categorized as poor. Overall, the test results indicated that the physical condition of Gresik United Football Academy U-16 athletes demonstrated excellent endurance and speed, while agility and explosive power had not yet reached optimal levels. The study concludes that although the players possess strengths in endurance and speed, improvements in agility and explosive power are still necessary through more specific and systematic training programs. Coaches are recommended to design balanced training programs focusing on agility exercises, such as agility drills, ladder drills, and change-of-direction drills. In addition, lower-limb explosive power should be enhanced through structured plyometric training, resistance training, and sprint interval training.

Abstract

The hilly topography of Suliki District, crossed by several rivers, makes bridges a vital infrastructure for community mobility and economic activity, particularly in Nagari Sungai Rimbang. The Ateh Koto suspension bridge in this nagari was damaged by the flooding of the Batang Sinamar River in November 2025, which caused foundation scouring and bank erosion on both abutment sides, altering the bridge span and rendering the structure unsafe for use. This study aims to design a new 50-meter suspension bridge structure that is safe and complies with applicable technical standards. The design was carried out based on topographic and hydrological survey data, with load analysis referring to SNI 1725:2016 and Circular Letter of the Minister of PUPR No. 02/SE/M/2010. The Flood Water Level was determined through hydrological analysis (Log Pearson III method) and hydraulic analysis (Manning's equation), while structural modeling was performed using SAP2000 software to obtain internal forces, stresses, deflections, and dynamic responses of the main cable, hangers, towers, backstay cables, and girders. The results show a 25-year design flood discharge of 328.17 m³/s with a flood water level rise of 2.25 m above normal water level. All upper structure elements satisfy strength requirements with stress ratios below 1.0, maximum deflection of 0.18 m remains below the 0.25 m allowable limit, and the structure's natural frequency of 0.233 Hz lies outside the resonance danger zone (0.5–1.2 Hz), confirming the design is structurally safe and feasible to restore accessibility for the community of Nagari Sungai Rimbang.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the level of technology adoption and its effect on rice farming productivity under two irrigation patterns in Sintang Regency. The research was conducted in selected rice farming areas that applied different irrigation patterns. The study employed a quantitative approach using survey methods. Data were collected through interviews with rice farmers using structured questionnaires. The respondents were selected using proportional sampling techniques based on irrigation patterns. The variables observed included the level of technology adoption in land preparation, seed selection, fertilization, pest and disease control, irrigation management, and harvesting activities. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis to measure the level of technology adoption and inferential statistical analysis to examine the effect of technology adoption on rice productivity.The results showed that the level of technology adoption among farmers varied between irrigation patterns, with farmers under more organized irrigation systems demonstrating higher levels of technology application. Technology adoption significantly influenced rice productivity, indicating that improved application of modern agricultural technologies contributed to increased rice yields. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening extension services, improving farmers’ access to agricultural technology, and enhancing irrigation management systems to increase rice productivity in Sintang Regency.

Abstract

Cellular Lightweight Concrete (CLC) is a widely used construction material due to its lightweight properties, good thermal insulation, and ease of application. However, the high cement content required in CLC production contributes to increased carbon emissions and production costs. This study aims to analyze the effect of Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA), Rice Husk Ash (RHA), and Fly Ash (FA) as partial cement replacements on the water absorption and compressive strength of CLC lightweight bricks. The research employed a laboratory experimental method with a quantitative approach. Cement substitution levels of 5%, 7.5%, and 10% were applied for each type of ash. The tests included fine aggregate characterization, water absorption, and compressive strength in accordance with applicable standards. The results indicate that POFA, RHA, and FA have different effects on the properties of CLC lightweight bricks. Certain substitution levels improved compressive strength and reduced water absorption compared to normal CLC bricks, whereas excessive substitution tended to reduce mechanical performance due to the decreased amount of active cement. Therefore, POFA, RHA, and FA have significant potential as environmentally friendly supplementary cementitious materials for producing sustainable lightweight concrete with improved engineering properties.

Abstract

Hard cookies are baked bakery products with a crunchy texture that are widely consumed across all age groups. The type of sugar used in hard cookies production is known to influence not only sensory attributes but also the physical characteristics of the final product, particularly weight and cooking loss. This study aims to analyze the effect of palm sugar and granulated sugar on the weight and cooking loss (spread/diameter change) of hard cookies. This research employed a qualitative approach through a literature study (library research), supported by direct observation of the baking process using an identical dough formulation for both sugar types, baked at 150°C for 20 minutes. The results showed that both palm sugar and granulated sugar treatments produced the same total dough weight of 260 grams, yielding approximately 20 pieces of hard cookies with an average weight of 13 grams each. The dough diameter increased from 4.5 cm before baking to 5 cm after baking for both treatments, an increase of 0.5 cm. These findings indicate that, under the formulation and baking conditions applied in this study, the use of palm sugar and granulated sugar did not produce a significant difference in the weight and spread characteristics of hard cookies, although the two sugars are theoretically known to differ in melting behavior and water-binding capacity.

Abstract

Rapid technological development requires systems to solve decision-making and optimization problems efficiently, including shortest-path search, scheduling, data archiving, and resource allocation. This study aims to analyze the performance and effectiveness of a greedy algorithm-based system and evaluate its functionality using the black-box testing method. In addition to measuring the system's success rate in processing test data, this study also examines the limitations of the greedy algorithm, particularly its tendency to become trapped in local optima, while improving the efficiency of employee skill input and generating conflict-free scheduling. The research applies the greedy algorithm as the primary optimization approach, while system validation is conducted through black-box testing by examining the consistency between system inputs and outputs without evaluating the internal source code. The testing results on 24 test cases demonstrate a success rate of 91.6%, with 22 valid cases and 2 invalid cases (8.3%). The invalid cases confirm the inherent limitation of the greedy algorithm in achieving the global optimum under certain conditions. Therefore, it can be concluded that the proposed greedy algorithm-based system performs well, is reliable, and is suitable for practical implementation due to its high level of functional success.

Abstract

The baking process is a crucial stage in roll cake production as it significantly determines the physical quality and flexibility of the cake during rolling. This laboratory experimental study aimed to analyze the effects of baking temperature and duration variations on the density and organoleptic quality of roll cakes, while determining the most optimal treatment combination. The method employed was an experiment utilizing the all-in-one batter method, divided into three treatments: Treatment 1 (160°C, 25 minutes), Treatment 2 (170°C ,20 minutes), and Treatment 3 (180°C, 15 minutes). The evaluation parameters included physical characteristics (height increase, weight loss, and geometric density) and sensory testing by trained panelists. The results indicated that variations in these parameters significantly affected both the physical and sensory properties, particularly texture and appearance. The low-temperature treatment (Treatment 1) produced the best product, exhibiting the highest volume expansion, lowest density, and a flexible crumb that rolled without cracking. Conversely, the high-temperature treatment resulted in a dense cake with a high risk of cracking. In conclusion, a balance of low temperature and a longer baking duration is highly recommended to produce roll cakes with optimal physical and sensory qualities.

Abstract

Tempe is one of the most familiar fermented soybean food products among Indonesians due to its high nutritional content and relatively simple production method. The fermentation process involves Rhizopus sp. molds, particularly Rhizopus oligosporus and Rhizopus oryzae, which break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats into simpler, bioactive compounds. The packaging stage is a crucial factor determining physical quality, as the use of banana leaves and plastic creates different fermentation environments. This study aims to analyze the effect of packaging type on the texture characteristics of processed tempeh after frying using a food physics approach. Through experimental methods and Texture Profile Analysis (TPA) testing, this study evaluated differences in hardness and crispiness parameters as indicators of product quality. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the food industry in optimizing the textural quality of tempeh through the selection of appropriate packaging materials.
