Abstract

The selection process for the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) College scholarship requires an objective and transparent assessment. This study aims to apply the Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) to optimize accuracy and simplify the scholarship selection process for prospective students. Modeling was conducted using Microsoft Excel with two input variables—Report Card Grades (NR) and Academic Potential Test (TPA) scores—and one output variable, the Admission Decision. Evaluation involved 12 rule bases using MIN-MAX operators and defuzzification via the Centroid method on 38 student data samples. Results show that the Mamdani FIS successfully classified graduation levels precisely into final recommendations: "Receive KIP" or "Do Not Receive KIP." In conclusion, fuzzy logic application effectively minimizes subjectivity, ensures efficiency, and provides a transparent and accurate KIP scholarship selection system.

Abstract

Nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) merupakan parameter penting dalam menentukan daya dukung tanah dasar pada perencanaan perkerasan jalan. Pengujian Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) banyak digunakan sebagai metode praktis untuk memperkirakan nilai CBR melalui berbagai persamaan korelasi empiris. Namun, perbedaan metode korelasi dapat menghasilkan nilai CBR yang bervariasi sehingga memengaruhi penentuan nilai CBR desain. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan nilai CBR desain yang diperoleh dari metode korelasi Kementerian PUPR (2010), Smith dan Pratt (1983), serta Ardianto (2017) berdasarkan hasil uji DCP pada ruas Jalan Desa Delima–Sungai Keruh, Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder hasil pengujian DCP pada 16 titik pengamatan yang diperoleh dari Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR). Analisis dilakukan melalui konversi nilai DCP menjadi CBR menggunakan ketiga metode korelasi, penentuan CBR karakteristik dengan metode persentil ke-10 sesuai Manual Desain Perkerasan Jalan (MDP) Bina Marga 2024, serta koreksi terhadap faktor musim. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai CBR desain yang diperoleh dari metode Kementerian PUPR (2010), Smith dan Pratt (1983), dan Ardianto (2017) berturut-turut sebesar 4,79%, 4,70%, dan 5,30%. Seluruh nilai tersebut berada di bawah persyaratan minimum CBR sebesar 6% sesuai MDP Bina Marga 2024, sehingga tanah dasar pada lokasi penelitian belum memenuhi syarat sebagai lapisan dasar perkerasan jalan dan memerlukan perbaikan tanah. Di antara ketiga metode yang dibandingkan, metode Ardianto (2017) menghasilkan nilai CBR tertinggi dan dinilai lebih representatif terhadap karakteristik tanah lempung berpasir di lokasi penelitian.

Abstract

Seiring meningkatnya permintaan energi dunia dan menurunnya cadangan bahan bakar fosil, biodiesel dikaji sebagai pilihan energi terbarukan. Penelitian ini berupaya mengevaluasi kemampuan berbagai bahan baku biodiesel serta proses produksinya melalui tinjauan literatur naratif. Diperiksa 15 artikel ilmiah selama sepuluh tahun terakhir dengan memfokuskan pada tipe bahan baku, metode produksi, tingkat efisiensi konversi, dan kualitas biodiesel. Penilaian potensi bahan baku meliputi kandungan minyak, efisiensi konversi, kemudahan budidaya, kompetisi dengan kebutuhan pangan, serta kepatuhan terhadap standar ASTM dan EN. Hasilnya mengindikasikan bahwa kelapa sawit dan mikroalga berada di peringkat teratas karena memiliki kadar minyak tinggi dan konversi yang efektif. Minyak bekas gorengan (jelantah) juga dianggap potensial karena biaya produksi rendah serta dampak lingkungan yang lebih kecil. Teknik transesterifikasi menjadi metode paling umum karena sederhana, efisien, dan memberikan hasil biodiesel tinggi. Pada intinya, biodiesel yang dihasilkan dari berbagai bahan baku dapat mendukung pengembangan energi terbarukan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Meningkatnya limbah industri dan pertanian mendorong pemanfaatan material alternatif yang ramah lingkungan pada bidang konstruksi, salah satunya melalui penggunaan Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA), Fly Ash, dan abu sekam padi sebagai bahan substitusi semen pada bata ringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan ketiga bahan tersebut terhadap kuat tekan bata ringan serta menentukan komposisi optimum yang menghasilkan kekuatan tertinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen laboratorium densgan variasi penambahan bahan substitusi sebesar 0%, 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Pengujian meliputi karakteristik agregat halus, analisis X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) bahan tambah, perancangan campuran (mix design), pembuatan benda uji, proses curing selama 28 hari, serta pengujian kuat tekan menggunakan Universal Testing Machine (UTM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh material memenuhi persyaratan standar pengujian. Analisis XRF menunjukkan bahwa Fly Ash memiliki kandungan silika tertinggi sebesar 82,66%, diikuti POFA sebesar 48,37% dan abu sekam padi sebesar 33,33%. Variasi penambahan Fly Ash sebesar 5% menghasilkan kuat tekan tertinggi yaitu 12,422 MPa, lebih tinggi dibandingkan bata ringan normal sebesar 9,342 MPa. Sebaliknya, peningkatan kadar substitusi hingga 10% dan 15% menyebabkan penurunan kuat tekan akibat berkurangnya jumlah semen sebagai bahan pengikat utama. Dengan demikian, penggunaan Fly Ash sebesar 5% merupakan komposisi optimum yang mampu meningkatkan kuat tekan bata ringan sekaligus mendukung pemanfaatan limbah lokal sebagai material konstruksi yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

The rapid development of peri-urban areas driven by urbanization often leads to spatial fragmentation and weakened connectivity among urban functions. This condition is evident in Cinere, Depok, where intensive residential and commercial growth has occurred without adequate spatial integration. This study aims to identify the potential of SDN Cinere 1 as a catalytic node and formulate an urban catalyst-based redesign strategy to strengthen the relationship between educational facilities, public spaces, and commercial activities at the neighborhood scale. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through field observations, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), literature review, digital maps, satellite imagery, and planning documents. The analysis was conducted by examining the study area, activity patterns, and movement systems, which were subsequently synthesized using the urban catalyst concept. The findings indicate that SDN Cinere 1 possesses the characteristics of a catalytic node, as it generates activities, attracts movement, influences supporting activities in the surrounding area, and connects various urban functions. Based on these findings, a redesign strategy was formulated, including the transformation of the school interface, the development of transitional and communal spaces, and the improvement of the commercial corridor. These findings demonstrate that educational facilities have significant potential to function as catalytic elements in the development of peri-urban areas.

Abstract

The town square (alun-alun) is a crucial element in traditional Javanese urban planning. It holds philosophical, spiritual, social, and political significance. As the city center, the alun-alun reflects the harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and God. Furthermore, it serves as a symbolic space that accommodates interactions between the people and the authorities. Tasikmalaya's town square, located in the city center of the East Priangan region, has undergone significant changes since the colonial era. This transformation continues with the implementation of a modern revitalization program from 2022 to 2024. This study aims to examine the shift in local values ​​and architectural identity resulting from changes in the town square's physical form, spatial function, and symbolic meaning. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach based on architectural criticism. This was conducted through historical studies, field observations, analysis of aerial photography documentation, and interviews with residents. The results show that the revitalization of Tasikmalaya's town square has successfully improved the visual quality, cleanliness, and comfort of the public space. However, on the other hand, these interventions diminish these values, including the spontaneity of social interaction, the sacredness of space, and the spiritual connection between the town square and the mosque, which are key elements of Javanese urban planning. Therefore, a revitalization approach based on local wisdom, or re-vernacularization, is needed. This approach aims to restore the town square's social, religious, and symbolic functions as part of the city's cultural identity.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged educational institutions to utilize digital media as a means of information dissemination. MI Mathlaul Huda Rancagong still uses conventional media, resulting in less optimal information delivery. This study aims to implement a school profile website as a web-based information medium using the Waterfall method. The website was developed using PHP and MySQL and tested using Black Box Testing. The results show that the implemented website is able to provide centralized school information, including school profiles, news, galleries, activity schedules, announcements, and contact information. Therefore, the implemented website can improve the effectiveness of information dissemination to the public.

Abstract

Background: Student attendance recording at SMK Negeri 1 Tangerang Selatan was previously conducted manually and later using QR Code, yet both methods were prone to misuse, including proxy attendance and the sharing of codes outside the school premises, resulting in attendance data that did not reflect actual conditions. Objective: This study aims to design and build a fingerprint-based student attendance system using the ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a web-based monitoring system at SMK Negeri 1 Tangerang Selatan. Methods: This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall approach, covering requirements analysis, system design (UML modeling including use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams, as well as hardware design), coding, implementation, and Black Box Testing. Results: Test results show that all main system functions operate as designed: the AS608 fingerprint sensor is able to recognize registered students' fingerprints and reject unregistered ones, the ESP32 successfully transmits attendance data to the server via WiFi, data is stored in a MySQL database and can be displayed in real time on a web monitoring dashboard accessible to admins and teachers with different access rights. Suggestion: Further development is needed, such as automatic notifications to parents, integration with academic databases, and long-term testing to assess system stability in real school conditions.

Abstract

Distribution is an essential component of the supply chain that directly affects a company's operational costs. This study examines the distribution of bottled drinking water from three distributors, namely Agung Berkah (Sukamulya), Mr. Watter (Cikupa), and Herman Depot (Citra Raya), to three destination areas: Balaraja, Telagasari, and Tigaraksa. The current distribution process is based on experience, making it unclear whether transportation costs have been minimized. Therefore, this study aims to determine the most efficient distribution pattern by comparing three transportation model methods: the Northwest Corner (NWC), Least Cost (LC), and Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM). The research employed a quantitative approach using data on transportation capacity, regional demand, and delivery costs per trip calculated based on fuel consumption. The results show that the NWC and LC methods produce the same total distribution cost of IDR 2,250,000 per month, whereas the VAM method yields the lowest total cost of IDR 2,230,000 per month, resulting in a cost saving of IDR 20,000 compared with the other two methods. This cost reduction is achieved because the VAM method considers penalty values (opportunity losses) before allocating shipments, producing an initial solution that is closer to the optimal solution. The findings suggest that Telagasari should be supplied by Mr. Watter, while Balaraja and Tigaraksa should be supplied by Agung Berkah. Herman Depot should serve as a backup distribution center due to its relatively higher transportation cost. Future studies are recommended to apply the Modified Distribution (MODI) method to verify that the obtained solution is truly optimal.

Abstract

The use of solar power plants (PLTS) in buildings is one way to improve energy efficiency and support the sustainable use of renewable energy. In the planning of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installation of the Public Housing, Settlement, and Human Settlements Office Building in East Java Province, the PLTS system was designed as part of a hybrid PLN-PLTS system. However, the energy utilization generated by the PLTS still needs to be evaluated to optimize its use for building loads. This study aims to determine the performance of the PLTS system based on simulation results using PVSyst software and to determine the optimal load distribution between the PLN and PLTS supplies. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data used are secondary data obtained from MEP planning documents, including the PLTS system design and building load data. System performance simulations were performed using PVSyst software with two solar panel installation orientations: 9° azimuth and -171° azimuth. Next, the generated electrical energy was converted into active power to determine the load that can be supplied by the PLTS system. The research results show that the solar PV system is capable of generating 35,883 kWh of electricity per year from two solar panel installation orientations. The simulation yielded a Performance Ratio (PR) of 0.756 for the first orientation and 0.755 for the second, indicating good and stable system performance. Based on the load distribution results, the energy generated by the solar PV system is capable of supplying the lighting needs of three buildings: the Main Building, the North Building, and the West Building, with a total power requirement of 14,030 watts. These results indicate that the designed PLN-PLTS hybrid system not only functions as a backup source but can also be used directly to support building operational needs and reduce dependence on PLN electricity supply.
