Abstract

This study aims to analyze the operational performance and service quality of Trans Bahagia Bus in Jambi City based on customer satisfaction. The study was conducted because several operational performance indicators have not yet met the required service standards, although Trans Bahagia Bus has become an environmentally friendly electric public transportation alternative in Jambi City. This research employed a quantitative approach by collecting data through field observations, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to 80 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The results indicate that the load factor, headway, and waiting time have not yet met the operational standards, while travel time, travel speed, service hours, and fleet availability have complied with the established standards. The multiple linear regression analysis reveals that comfort, safety, ease of accessing the bus, route, and vehicle condition have both simultaneous and partial positive and significant effects on customer satisfaction, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 98.3%. The variable with the greatest influence on customer satisfaction is the ease of accessing the bus. Furthermore, the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) value reached 90.64%, which falls into the Excellent category. Therefore, it can be concluded that passengers are generally highly satisfied with the services provided by Trans Bahagia Bus in Jambi City. Nevertheless, improvements in operational performance, particularly increasing the number of buses to reduce waiting time and headway, are still required

Abstract

The planned bore pile foundation for an educational building in Jambi City faced construction challenges due to compacted sandy soil conditions and the influence of a relatively high-water table, necessitating a more suitable foundation alternative. This study aims to redesign the bore pile foundation into a driven pile foundation and analyze the effect of diameter variations on bearing capacity and foundation settlement to determine the optimal diameter. The study utilized soil investigation data in the form of Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) and Cone Penetration Tests (CPT/Sondir), as well as building structure loading data. The analysis was conducted on spun pile foundations with diameters of 0.4 m, 0.5 m, and 0.6 m at depths of 14 m and 16 m. Bearing capacity was calculated using the Meyerhof method based on SPT data and compared with the results of the ALLPile program analysis, while foundation settlement was analyzed using the Vesic method and ALLPile method. The research results show that bearing capacity increases with increasing pile diameter and depth, while settlement values tend to decrease. A comparison between the Meyerhof and ALLPile methods shows relatively consistent results with no significant differences. All foundation variations meet the bearing capacity and allowable settlement requirements. Based on an evaluation of bearing capacity, settlement, and design efficiency, piles with a diameter of 0.5 m and a depth of 14 m were selected as the most optimal foundation alternative for the soil conditions at the study site.

Abstract

This study examines the management of public procurement data through the Electronic Procurement Service (Layanan Pengadaan Secara Elektronik/LPSE) within the framework of Satu Data Indonesia (One Data Indonesia), based on an internship conducted at the Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement (Biro Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa) of the Secretariat of South Sumatra Province from October to December 2025. Satu Data Indonesia requires government data to follow common data standards, metadata, interoperable formats, and a single reference code, yet procurement data recorded through LPSE and related systems such as SIRUP is often produced with inconsistent column terms and formats before it can be integrated into the provincial Satu Data dashboard. This study used a qualitative descriptive case-study approach, with data obtained through participatory observation, document study, and an internal dataset of procurement packages, funding sources, and procurement officials recorded during the internship. The results show that of 65 regional agencies recorded, a total of 6,912 procurement packages were logged for 2025, dominated by the Tourism and Culture Office with 808 packages, while 13 agencies still show zero recorded packages, indicating uneven data readiness across agencies. Terminology and format mismatches, together with a dashboard input table that was not yet available during the first half of the internship, were the main obstacles to timely data integration. The study recommends simplifying data-entry terminology, providing clearer technical guidance for data verification, and strengthening the interoperability mechanism between LPSE, SIRUP, and the provincial Satu Data portal to support more transparent and accountable procurement governance.

Abstract

Sumatra Island is located in a highly active seismic region, making it vulnerable to soil liquefaction, particularly in loose, saturated granular soils. This condition is of particular concern for critical facilities such as hospitals. This study aims to analyze the liquefaction potential based on Cone Penetration Test (CPT) data under different earthquake return periods at a hospital site in Jambi City. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data consisting of CPT results, Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data, and Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) values obtained from the 2024 Indonesian Seismic Hazard Map for return periods of 50, 475, and 2,475 years. Liquefaction potential was evaluated by comparing the Cyclic Stress Ratio (CSR) and Cyclic Resistance Ratio (CRR), followed by the calculation of the Factor of Safety (FS) and the Liquefaction Potential Index (LPI). The results indicate that increasing the earthquake return period leads to higher PGA values, lower FS values, wider distributions of liquefiable soil layers, and higher LPI values. Under the 50-year return period, all soil layers remained stable, whereas the 475-year and 2,475-year return periods produced increasingly extensive liquefaction-prone zones. The S-02 investigation point exhibited a higher liquefaction susceptibility than S-03, with a maximum LPI value of 24.612, although the liquefiable layers at S-03 extended to greater depths. The liquefaction-prone layers were predominantly composed of silt and sand, while clay layers were not interpreted as liquefiable. These findings demonstrate that evaluating multiple earthquakes return periods provides a more comprehensive assessment of soil liquefaction susceptibility and can serve as a valuable reference for foundation design and earthquake risk mitigation in hospital buildings.

Abstract

Gayo Arabica coffee is one of Indonesia's leading commodities that currently faces serious threats in the form of counterfeiting practices and declining quality standards. Determining coffee quality and purity, which still relies on human sensory testing (sight, smell, and taste), is subjective, slow, and carries the risk of misjudgment, especially when performed by inexperienced assessors. This study aims to design and assess the feasibility of ArabiScan, a purity detection and quality classification system for Gayo Arabica coffee based on digital image processing and the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method through literature review and conceptual system design. The feasibility of its implementation was then analyzed using a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis. The results indicate that the ArabiScan system operates through four stages: image acquisition, image processing, K-NN-based classification, and output presentation in the form of quality categories and purity percentages. Based on previous research, digital image-based methods and learning algorithms such as K-NN can achieve 94-95% classification accuracy for coffee, significantly more objective and consistent than conventional methods. A SWOT analysis shows that the system's main strengths lie in its objectivity and speed of assessment, while its weaknesses are the need for a comprehensive standard database and initial investment. It can be concluded that ArabiScan has the potential to be an effective Smart Farming technology solution for maintaining the authenticity, quality, and competitiveness of Gayo Arabica coffee in both national and international markets.

Abstract

Raw material inventory control is a crucial aspect of maintaining operational continuity, particularly in the food and beverage industry, where demand tends to fluctuate. Caffe Street Zypo currently implements a manual inventory control system based on estimation, which may result in either excess inventory or stock shortages. This study aims to analyze the company's existing raw material inventory control system, determine the optimal order quantity using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, calculate the required Safety Stock, determine the Reorder Point (ROP), and evaluate inventory cost efficiency. The research employed the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock, and Reorder Point (ROP) methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, including information on raw material demand, ordering costs, holding costs, and procurement lead time. The objects of this study consisted of the main raw materials, namely UHT milk, sweetened condensed milk (SCM), palm sugar, ice blocks, and plastic cups. The results indicate that the optimal order quantities (EOQ) are 202 units for UHT milk, 146 units for sweetened condensed milk, 125 units for palm sugar, 202 sacks for ice blocks, and 1,522 units for plastic cups. The Safety Stock calculation recommends maintaining 5 units of UHT milk as buffer inventory, while the Reorder Point (ROP) is determined at 19 units. Furthermore, the minimum Total Inventory Cost (TIC) obtained using the EOQ method is IDR 924,742. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the EOQ, Safety Stock, and ROP methods can improve inventory control efficiency, reduce the risk of stock shortages, and minimize inventory costs compared with the inventory system currently applied by the company.

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that is the main cause of increased risk of cardiovascular disease. One of the targets of hypertension therapy is Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE), which plays a role in the formation of angiotensin II. This study aims to analyze the potential of flavonoid and phenolic compounds as ACE inhibitor candidates using an in silico approach. The compounds analyzed included quercetin, kaempferol, catechin, gallic acid, and chlorogenic acid, with captopril as a positive control. The study was conducted through compound identification, drug-likeness screening using SwissADME, toxicity prediction using ProTox-II, molecular docking using PyRx, and molecular interaction analysis using BIOVIA Discovery Studio. The results showed that all compounds met the drug-likeness criteria with a maximum of one violation of Lipinski's rule and had a relatively low level of toxicity. Molecular docking results showed that quercetin had the best binding affinity value of -9.2 kcal/mol, followed by chlorogenic acid (-9.0 kcal/mol) and kaempferol (-8.5 kcal/mol). Molecular interaction analysis showed that all three compounds are capable of forming hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions with residues in the active site of ACE. Based on these results, quercetin has the potential to be a promising ACE inhibitor candidate as a natural-based antihypertensive agent.

Abstract

Bamboo is a material frequently used in architectural works. Over time, bamboo's function has shifted as a building element. This expansion has led to bamboo being viewed not only as a structural element but also as the face of a building. The use of bamboo in various building typologies naturally demonstrates differences in processing and emphasis on its character and expression, depending on the typological context. This creates disparities in the effectiveness of bamboo application in each building. This study uses a comparative quantitative approach through user perception surveys and architect interviews with several building typologies. Quantitative findings reveal that users tend to appreciate bamboo in buildings that emphasize new spatial experiences and environmental relationships, particularly in the Tourism and Recreation typology. This requires a strong visual identity and integration with its ecological context. Through data analysis comparing user responses and architects as designers, it is revealed that there is a tendency for similar perceptions between the two, leading to the conclusion that it is in buildings with the Tourism and Recreation typology that the performance of bamboo material is optimized, both in terms of aesthetics and contextual relevance.

Abstract

Peat soil is characterized by high moisture and organic matter contents, resulting in low bearing capacity and making it unsuitable as a subgrade material for road construction. One promising approach to improve its engineering properties is stabilization using Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA). This study aimed to review the potential of POFA and carrageenan in improving the bearing capacity of peat soil based on the California Bearing Ratio (CBR). A literature review approach was employed by collecting and analyzing scientific journal articles, conference proceedings, books, and technical standards related to peat soil characteristics, the use of POFA as a pozzolanic material, and CBR performance of stabilized peat soil. The review indicates that POFA functions as both a filler material and a silica source that promotes pozzolanic reactions, leading to improved soil density and strength. Utilization of POFA has the potential to increase CBR values, reduce moisture content and swelling, and improve the microstructure of peat soil. Based on the findings of previous studies, POFA and carrageenan are considered promising environmentally friendly and sustainable stabilization materials for peat soil. However, further experimental investigations are still required to determine the optimum mixture proportion capable of providing the highest improvement in bearing capacity.
