Abstract

The challenges of the digital era require the younger generation to possess competencies that extend The rapid development of digital technology and changes in labor market demands require young people to possess not only technical skills but also critical thinking, adaptability, creativity, and systematic problem-solving abilities. In residential communities, the use of digital technology among young people is often still dominated by social communication and entertainment activities, while its potential to support productivity, employment readiness, and entrepreneurship remains underutilized. This Community Service Program (PkM) aimed to strengthen digital competencies and solution-oriented thinking skills among young people in Griya Sindang Sejahtera Housing Complex. The program was conducted through several stages, including preparation, training, group practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The participants consisted of 25 productive-age young people, including university students, fresh graduates, job seekers, and young entrepreneurs. The training materials covered productive digital literacy, the use of digital applications for work-related activities, information security, personal branding, and problem-solving techniques using the Design Thinking approach. The evaluation results showed an increase in the participants' average understanding from 42% in the pre-test to 85% in the post-test. In addition to the quantitative improvement, participants were able to develop several solution prototypes addressing issues related to digital marketing, youth organization management, job searching, and the utilization of digital technology. The program demonstrated that practice-based training combined with continuous mentoring can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening young people's readiness to face the challenges of the modern workplace and digital economy.
