Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the managerial competencies of human resources (HR) among micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Tasikmalaya City through a competency-based training program. The identified problems include low capability in HR planning, recruitment, performance evaluation, and employee development. The methods used include participatory training, direct mentoring, case studies, and management simulations. The activity was conducted over three days on March 15–17, 202, in Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City, involving 45 participants from various SME sectors. Results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of HR management concepts, with the average pretest score increasing from 52.4 to 78.6 on the posttest (a 49.6% improvement). A total of 91% of participants expressed satisfaction with the training and committed to applying the acquired knowledge in their business units. This activity is expected to contribute to the sustainable enhancement of SME competitiveness in Tasikmalaya City.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia's economy; however, most of them still rely on conventional marketing systems with limited reach. This community service activity aims to assist and empower MSME actors in Kuningan Regency in transforming their marketing from conventional to digital methods through a Community Empowerment approach. The methods used include: (1) initial MSME condition mapping, (2) intensive training and mentoring, and (3) continuous evaluation. This activity involved 45 MSME actors from 5 sub-districts in Kuningan Regency engaged in culinary, handicraft, and general trade sectors. The results showed a significant increase in MSME actors' understanding and ability in utilizing social media, marketplaces, and creating digital content. A total of 82% of participants successfully created active digital business accounts, 67% were able to create independent promotional content, and average revenue increased by 35% after three months of mentoring. The Community Empowerment approach proved effective because it positions the community as an active subject of transformation, not merely a training object. Program sustainability is ensured through the formation of a learning community among MSME actors that remains active after the activity.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of the people of Sukahening Village in managing family and business finances in a simple, effective, and sustainable manner. The main problems faced by the community are low financial literacy, the lack of habit in recording income and expenses, and limited understanding of financial planning. The implementation methods included counseling, practical training on simple financial recording, interactive discussions, and mentoring. The participants consisted of village residents, MSME actors, and PKK women’s group members, totaling 35 participants. The results of the activity showed an improvement in participants’ understanding of household and business financial management, as indicated by their ability to create simple budgets, record cash flow, and prepare monthly financial plans. This program is expected to enhance the economic independence of the community and support family welfare in Sukahening Village.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve digital-based agricultural product marketing capacity for farmer groups in Tasikmalaya Regency. The main problems faced by partner farmers are limited market access, lack of knowledge about digital marketing, and insufficient ability to utilize agricultural e-commerce platforms. The methods used include extension, practical training, and intensive mentoring for four months. The target was 45 farmers from three villages, namely Hegarwangi Village (Bantarkalong District), Wangunsari Village (Bantarkalong District), and Girijaya Village (Bojongasih District). The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge of digital marketing (average pretest score 42.3 increased to 78.6 on posttest), and an increase in the number of farmers who successfully utilized digital platforms for product marketing by 68%. Average farmer income increased by 32% during the mentoring period. This activity is recommended to be expanded to other villages in Tasikmalaya Regency.

Abstract

Tanah Miring District is one of the areas with the largest beef cattle population in Merauke Regency. Despite its significant regional potential, the knowledge of local smallholder farmers remains relatively limited, and their business practices remain traditional. A good understanding of livestock health management and mating regulations has a direct impact on optimizing livestock productivity. To address these challenges, the Musamus University community service team, in collaboration with local animal health officers, implemented an intervention program through initial observation, followed by counseling and the provision of medication and multivitamins. The results of the activity demonstrated a high level of urgency and need among farmers for educational programs on health management and regular mating to achieve optimal business profitability. Overall, this program has proven effective in transforming livestock farmers' knowledge and is projected to boost beef cattle productivity in Tanah Miring District, Merauke Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Quizizz application in Tajwid learning, the effectiveness of Quizizz in improving Tajwid learning outcomes, and the extent of the improvement in learning outcomes of Arabic Language Education students at UNM after using Quizizz. This research is motivated by the low interest and learning outcomes of students in Tajwid courses due to the use of conventional and less interactive learning methods. Therefore, technology-based learning media are needed to increase students’ motivation and engagement in the learning process. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The subjects of this research were students of the Arabic Language Education program at UNM. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, tests, documentation, and questionnaires. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical tests to determine the effectiveness of the Quizizz application on students’ learning outcomes. The results showed that the use of the Quizizz application in Tajwid learning created a more interactive, interesting, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students became more active and motivated in participating in the learning process. In addition, the use of Quizizz proved to be effective in improving students’ Tajwid learning outcomes. This can be seen from the increase in students’ scores after using Quizizz compared to before its implementation. The improvement in learning outcomes occurred because students found it easier to understand the material through interactive quizzes, direct feedback, and game-based learning systems provided by Quizizz. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Quizizz application is effective as a learning medium for Tajwid among Arabic Language Education students at UNM because it can improve students’ motivation, participation, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education requires a structured training program so that prospective teacher students are able to utilize the technology optimally. This activity aims to hold a workshop on the use of AI NotebookLM, organized by Smart Edu Vision in collaboration with the Arabic Language Education Study Program at UNM on March 5, 2026. The results of the PkM activity showed a success rate of 85%, where 72.7% of participants achieved an A grade and 27.3% a B grade. A comparative analysis of pre- and post-workshop competency achievements showed a significant increase in all indicators, especially NotebookLM mastery (from a score of 1.8 to 4.5 on a scale of 5). This activity proves that the experiential learning approach based on direct demonstrations is effective in increasing AI literacy among prospective Arabic language teacher students.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven the transformation of financial services toward digital systems that are faster, easier, and more efficient. However, the level of digital financial literacy among rural communities remains relatively low, highlighting the need for continuous educational efforts. This community service program aims to improve the understanding and skills of the residents of Bangbayang Village, Lemahsugih District, Majalengka Regency, in utilizing digital financial services safely and productively. The methods employed included counseling sessions, demonstrations, hands-on practice, discussions, and evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the program indicated an improvement in participants' understanding of mobile banking, digital wallets, QRIS, household financial management, and digital transaction security.

Abstract

The challenges of the digital era require the younger generation to possess competencies that extend beyond formal academic qualifications, particularly 21st-Century Skills rooted in digital literacy and problem-solving capabilities. Youth in PerumRegency Puteran demonstrate significant potential but still face obstacles in optimizing digital devices for productivity and applying systematic methods to resolve work or business hurdles. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to empower the youth of PerumRegency Puteran by enhancing their digital literacy and problem-solving skills to boost their competitiveness in both the job market and the entrepreneurial sector. The program implementation utilizes the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on leveraging local potential through three main phases: preparation (coordination and needs assessment), implementation (interactive training, workshops, and case study mentoring), and evaluation (measuring impact through pre-tests and post-tests). The expected outcomes of this activity include an increase in digital literacy comprehension, the adoption of critical thinking frameworks (design thinking) in problem-solving, and the formation of an independent digital youth community within the residential area.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tasikmalaya City through the integration of Human Resource Management (HRM) and digital marketing strategies. MSMEs in Tasikmalaya City face various challenges, including low competitiveness, unstable income, traditional marketing issues, weak product branding, and limited financing. Through a participatory approach, this service analyzes the current state of MSME HRM and marketing, formulates an integrated model, and provides training and mentoring for implementing digital marketing strategies. The activities will be carried out from January to May 2026 in Tasikmalaya City. The expected outcomes include an increase in MSME actors' understanding and capacity in managing human resources and implementing digital marketing, which will ultimately contribute to enhancing MSME competitiveness and economic stability.
