Abstract

This research aims to analyze how mudharabah contracts are implemented between ship owners and fishermen in Sanrobone Village, Takalar Regency. A mudharabah agreement is a way of cooperation in Islamic economics involving capital owners (shahibul mal) and business managers (mudharib), where profits are shared according to the agreement made. This study applies a qualitative approach using descriptive methods, where information is obtained through in depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research state that in the practice of mudharabah contracts in Sanrobone Village, the ship owner provides capital in the form of a boat and fishing equipment, while the fishermen are in charge of carrying out fishing operations. However, there are several challenges that must be faced in implementing this contract, such as a lack of understanding of sharia principles, distribution of profits that is not in line with the original agreement, and the risk of losses that have not been resolved fairly. The conclusion of this research is the need to increase sharia financial literacy among fishing communities and ship owners to ensure that mudharabah contracts are carried out in accordance with sharia principles, as well as the important role of supporting institutions in providing education and mediation.

Abstract

This qualitative research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan/PKH) in addressing poverty in Lembo Raya District and to analyze its implementation from the perspective of Islamic economics. The study involves four informants: one program assistant from Lembo Raya District and three beneficiaries of the program. The study measures effectiveness using Ni Wayan Budiani’s effectiveness theory and employs Maqashid Syariah theory to provide an Islamic economic perspective. The findings indicate that the Family Hope Program is effective in achieving its goals of reducing poverty, supporting the economy of poor households, and enhancing human resource quality in Lembo Raya District. However, the study also identifies areas for improvement. Specifically, the program could benefit from enhanced evaluation mechanisms and the inclusion of spiritual guidance or basic religious education for both program assistants and beneficiaries. This would align the program more closely with Islamic economic principles, which emphasize holistic well-being, including spiritual and material aspects. The research highlights the importance of integrating economic and spiritual support in poverty alleviation programs to ensure sustainable outcomes. Future studies could explore broader perspectives, such as the impact of community involvement and long-term benefits, to strengthen the program’s effectiveness.

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing mosque management decisions regarding the placement of funds, considering options such as Islamic banks, conventional banks, or storage at the board's residence. The research emphasizes compliance with sharia principles and management efficiency as key decision-making criteria. A qualitative approach is employed using a case study methodology. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and analysis of mosque financial documents, with thematic analysis applied to interpret the findings. The results reveal that 50% of mosque funds are stored in the board's house, 35% in Islamic banks, and 15% in conventional banks. These findings highlight the significant reliance on informal storage methods, reflecting challenges such as limited access to financial institutions or concerns over administrative complexity. The study contributes to the development of more professional and transparent mosque financial management practices, which are crucial for enhancing public trust. Additionally, it offers a fresh perspective on mosque financial practices by focusing on fund placement in banking institutions, particularly within the Takalar region. The research addresses existing gaps in the study of mosque financial management and underscores the importance of aligning fund management with sharia principles while improving operational efficiency. Future studies could explore the impact of financial literacy among mosque boards and the role of regulatory frameworks in shaping fund placement decisions.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of digital financial literacy on the adoption of non-cash payments among residents of Makassar City, using gender as a moderating variable. A total of 103 respondents were surveyed through explanatory and quantitative research methodologies. The analysis reveals that digital financial literacy positively and significantly affects the adoption of non-cash payments. However, the moderating effect of gender on this relationship is not statistically significant, as indicated by a p-value greater than 0.05. This suggests that digital financial literacy has a universally positive impact on the adoption of non-cash payments, irrespective of gender. The findings underscore the critical role of digital financial literacy in promoting non-cash payment systems, highlighting that its benefits extend equally across all gender groups. This aligns with broader efforts to create inclusive financial ecosystems and emphasizes the importance of fostering digital financial skills at all levels of society. The study calls for targeted initiatives to improve digital financial literacy through education programs, workshops, and outreach efforts, ensuring equitable access to digital financial tools. Future research could explore additional moderating variables, such as age, income, or education level, to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing non-cash payment adoption in urban contexts like Makassar City.

Abstract

This study focuses on integrating machine learning models into a Decision Support System (DSS) for predicting BBNI stock prices and generating actionable investment recommendations. The research aims to address the challenges of stock price prediction by evaluating the performance of four models: Multiple Linear Regression (MLR), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The methodology involves collecting and preprocessing BBNI stock data from 2019 onward, training and evaluating the models using metrics such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and R-squared, and incorporating the best-performing model into the DSS. The findings reveal that MLR outperformed other models, achieving an MAE of 18.29, RMSE of 23.73, and an R-squared value of 0.9995, indicating high predictive accuracy. RF performed slightly worse but remained competitive, while SVM and ANN exhibited poor results due to limitations in handling complex patterns or tuning issues. The DSS, powered by MLR, successfully generated buy, sell, or hold recommendations based on stock price predictions, with investment simulations confirming its reliability. This study contributes to the field of financial decision-making by demonstrating the effectiveness of MLR in stock price prediction and DSS integration. However, limitations include reliance on historical data and potential model bias. Future research should explore hybrid models and advanced techniques such as deep learning to enhance predictive capabilities. The proposed DSS offers a practical tool for investors, combining robust machine learning insights with user-friendly decision-making support.
