Abstract

Work stress is one of the major issues that can affect employee performance and the quality of public health services. This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture and the work environment on employees' work stress at the 2X11 Kayutanam Public Health Center, Padang Pariaman Regency. The study is based on theories of organizational culture, work environment, and work stress, which explain that organizational conditions and the work environment play important roles in shaping employees' behavior and psychological well-being. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of 34 employees, all of whom were selected as the research sample using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings indicate that organizational culture has a significant effect on employees' work stress, supporting the first hypothesis. Similarly, the work environment also has a significant effect on employees' work stress, supporting the second hypothesis. Therefore, organizational culture and the work environment are important factors influencing employees' work stress. Improving organizational culture and creating a supportive work environment are expected to reduce work stress and enhance the quality of healthcare services at the 2X11 Kayutanam Public Health Center, Padang Pariaman Regency.

Abstract

This research is oriented to test and analyze how the impact of customer satisfaction and price on the comfort of the place at the FORE Puri Widya Kencana Coffee Shop outlet in Surabaya. By applying an associative-causal quantitative design, this study recruited 96 respondents as a sample whose calculation was based on the Cochran formula, while the determination was made using the purposive sampling method. Primary data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires with a 5-point Likert scale, which was then processed through the multiple linear regression method based on SPSS software. Based on the evaluation of the instrument, all question items are confirmed to be valid and reliable. The regression model was also declared to have passed the classical assumption test because it was normally distributed and free from indications of multicollinearity. From the processing results, a structural model was obtained. Partial testing (t-test) showed that the level of customer satisfaction contributed positively and significantly to the comfort of the place (; sig. = 0.000), as well as the price factor (sig. = 0.000). Simultaneously (test F), the two independent variables were shown to have a meaningful simultaneous influence (; sig. = 0.000), which means that the criteria for acceptance of hypotheses H1, H2, and H3 have been met. The determination number ( R Square) of 0.561 indicates that the variability of place comfort can be described by customer satisfaction and price of 56.1%, while the remaining 43.9% is determined by other determinants that are outside the scope of this research. This conclusion indicates that optimizing customer satisfaction and ideal pricing policies are crucial instruments in strengthening the perception of physical comfort in the coffee shop business.

This study aims to analyze the effects financial deepening on Indonesia's economic growth in the long and short run for the period 2014Q1-2024Q4. The analytical method used is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) with an Error Correction Model (ECM) approach. The independent variables include the broad money supply ratio (M2), private sector credit ratio (CPS), and stock market capitalization ratio (SMC), with the foreign direct investment ratio (FDI) as a control variable, and real GDP gworth as dependant variable. The results show that In the long run, M2 and CPS have a significant negative effect on economic growth, while SMC has a positive but insignificant effect. In the short run, M2 in the current period has a significant negative effect, but reverses to a significant positive effect two periods prior. CPS in the current period is not significant, but shows a significant positive effect one period prior. SMC is only significant and positive at one lag period.

Abstract

The development of the workforce in the digital era is currently marked by the entry of Generation Z as a new workforce. Generation Z has characteristics such as being skilled in using technology, active, and highly concerned about comfort and well-being in the workplace. The main problem faced by companies today is the high rate of employee turnover or the habit of frequently changing jobs among this generation. This study aims to find out how compensation and benefit strategies that are not rigid and can adjust to employee needs can increase loyalty and retain Generation Z employees in the company. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature review approach, where data are collected from previous journals and human resource management reports. The results show that old compensation systems that are rigid and the same for everyone are no longer effective in retaining Generation Z, so companies need to give employees the freedom to choose benefits that suit their needs, such as mental health support, internet cost assistance for working from home, and digital training support. This study is expected to help companies create a reward system that is easier to adjust to employee needs.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the work environment and work discipline on employee performance, with work motivation serving as a mediating variable at the Harapan Indah Branch of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. A quantitative research design was adopted, and all statistical analyses including validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity testing, multiple linear regression, independent t-tests, the F-test, the Sobel test, and calculation of the coefficient of determination were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results demonstrate that both the work environment and work discipline exert a positive and statistically significant effect on work motivation. Similarly, these two factors also have a positive and significant direct impact on employee performance. Work motivation itself is also found to have a positive and significant effect on performance. Collectively, the three variables explain a substantial portion of variance in employee performance, with an adjusted coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 0.688 (68.8%), indicating strong explanatory power. The Sobel test further verifies that work motivation significantly mediates the relationship between the work environment and employee performance, as well as the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. Overall, the findings underscore that fostering a supportive work environment, upholding consistent work discipline, and enhancing employee motivation are essential strategies for optimizing employee performance in this organizational setting.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance, with employee satisfaction acting as a mediating variable at Studio Renang Regional Bekasi. The research employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory design, involving a sample of 75 employees selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were processed using IBM SPSS 26, incorporating validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, t‑tests, the F‑test, the Sobel mediation test, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings show that work motivation and work discipline each exert a positive and significant influence on employee satisfaction. In addition, work motivation, work discipline, and employee satisfaction positively and significantly affect employee performance. When examined simultaneously, these three variables significantly contribute to employee performance, as reflected in an Adjusted R² value of 54.3%. The Sobel test further confirms that employee satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, as well as between work discipline and employee performance. These results suggest that enhancing employee performance requires not only strengthening motivation and discipline but also improving employee satisfaction as a key mechanism for fostering overall performance outcomes.
