Abstract

The tourism industry is currently growing rapidly. The tourism village program, which is currently being promoted by the government, encourages young people who are members of youth organizations to be able to promote tourist attractions in their villages. In a tourism village program, ideally young people among village cadets serve as guides, guides and even determine the success of this program. Youth in Karang taruna need to have basic English for Tourism in order to be able to describe and promote the tourism of the village to tourists who visit later. However, the facts found in the field that there are still many  Karang  taruna members who are unable to communicate  English. They are not at all familiar with English. Based on that phenomenon, this activity aims to  help  introducing and maximizing  basic English learning for Karang Taruna  members in the Sintoga District, Padang Pariaman. The target to be achieved is that the Karang Taruna members of the youth group understand the basics of English and can properly promote tourist attractions in their village. The method used in this community service is a communicative approach method, by training Karang Taruna members to be able to communicate in English contextually. The results of this training show that  the enthusiasm of the Karang Taruna members  to learn and improve their English skills. Their responds are  positive.Next,  it is hoped that this program can be continued regularly in the future

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept that a corporation decides voluntarily to contribute for better society and clearer environment. A corporation could identify its stakeholders and internalize needs and values into strategic decision-making process and corporate’s ethics operation. CSR is one of ethics items in building long term performance. CSR is what should be or what corporation must do for society. By implementing CSR, society will feel secured and CSR is needed to cope vertical and horizontal conflicts. Therefore, CSR could strengthen corporate’s reputation and business sustainability.

Abstract

This research is entitled The Influence of Entrepreneurship Education and the Social Environment on Interest in Entrepreneurship in Students of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of West Sumatra. This research is motivated by the need for students in the faculty of health sciences to be able to create their own job opportunities with the abilities or education they have received. No need to wait for the relevant agency to open job vacancies. This research uses a quantitative type of research. The data taken was primary data by distributing questionnaires to students at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of West Sumatra. This research carried out research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis tests using SPSS version 21. The research results stated that looking at the test results that had been carried out proved that both variables had a significant effect partially or simultaneously, and it could also be seen that the Adjusted R Square was 0.403 or amounting to 40.3%. This means that the variable interest in entrepreneurship is influenced by entrepreneurship education and the social environment and the remaining 50.7% is influenced by other variables outside of this research variable.

Abstract

The development and growth of a company depends on quality human resources which can be obtained through employee training and development programs. Employee development is the target of training so that employees will be competent in carrying out their duties and can improve employees' skills, knowledge and experience in their work so that they can support their careers in the future. Career is a basic need for employees to gain social recognition in the family and economy. A career consists of all the jobs a person holds during his or her work. Some employees' work is part of a plan. Career management is the process of managing an employee's career which includes the stages of career planning activities, career development and counseling, as well as career decision making. Organizations can also support employees by creating an environment that enables growth and development amidst rapid change.
