Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in skincare marketing strategies between MS Glow and Wardah in Pontianak City. The method used is associative quantitative with purposive sampling technique on 118 respondents, consisting of 59 MS Glow users and 59 Wardah users. Data were analyzed using the Cochran Q Test via SPSS 23. The results of the study showed significant differences in the marketing strategies of the two brands, indicated by the calculated Q value of 43.27 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The average score of Wardah (19.61) is higher than MS Glow (18.86), which confirms that the effectiveness of a marketing strategy is not only determined by the intensity of promotion, but also the suitability of the approach to consumer preferences. These findings are expected to be a reference for local skincare brands in developing more targeted marketing strategies and being able to compete in an increasingly competitive market

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Work-Life Balance and Workload on Turnover Intention among employees of Mulia Oil Mill (SISM). The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a total of 111 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale, while data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that Work-Life Balance has a significant effect on Turnover Intention, whereas Workload does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, Work-Life Balance and Workload influence Turnover Intention with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.137, meaning that both variables can only explain 13.7% of the variation in Turnover Intention, while the remaining 86.3% is influenced by other factors beyond this study, such as salary satisfaction, leadership style, and work climate. These findings highlight the need to evaluate Work-Life Balance policies so that they not only provide comfort but also strengthen employees’ emotional attachment. In addition, the company needs to implement more holistic workload management, improve communication, and conduct further research to explore other factors that may affect Turnover Intention.

Abstract

Home‑based micro printing enterprises contribute substantially to local economies yet face various risks including price competition, technology shifts, and supply chain issues. This study analyzes the internal and external conditions of a home‑based printing MSME using a SWOT framework strengthened with IFE and EFE matrices. Findings show an IFE score of 2.98 and an EFE score of 2.76, positioning the enterprise in the grow‑and‑build quadrant. Recommended strategies include service quality enhancement, digital printing adoption, community‑based marketing, and risk mitigation through product diversification and supply management. The study is expected to guide MSMEs in formulating sustainable business strategies.

Abstract

AbstractThe Flamboyan traditional market in Pontianak is one of the main distribution centers for basic necessities for the local community. This market is now facing increasingly fierce competition from modern markets that offer convenience, state-of-the-art facilities, and digital payment technology. This study uses a mixed method approach to comprehensively examine the adaptation strategies and competitiveness of traditional market traders in response to the existence of modern markets. Quantitative data was obtained from a survey of 150 traders and 200 consumers regarding their perceptions of prices, services, products, and market facilities. Meanwhile, qualitative data was collected through in-depth interviews with 10 informants, including traders, market managers, and regional economic experts. The analysis used descriptive statistics and SWOT for quantitative data, as well as thematic coding techniques for qualitative data. The findings show that traditional markets excel in the aspects of bargaining culture, competitive prices, and personal service, although they still face limitations in facilities and a lack of digitalization. Traders are gradually beginning to utilize digital technologies such as social media and electronic payments. Key recommendations include improving digital literacy training, upgrading market facilities, and a more active role for the government in supporting the modernization and digitization of traditional markets in order to maintain competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between performance target systems, evaluation pressure, and employee work stress at PT Bintang Timur Group, a subsidized housing developer that implements sales targets based on housing units. Using a descriptive qualitative case study, this study involved two informants selected purposively based on their direct involvement in performance target implementation and evaluation: a manager and a salesperson. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured in-depth interviews. The results indicate that the target system of three units per month is considered realistic because it is supported by a safety margin mechanism and is set lower than competitors’ targets. Evaluation pressure is perceived as significant, particularly due to financial consequences such as base salary deductions for those failing to meet targets. However, the discursive nature of the evaluation process and management’s adaptive responses—through price adjustments and promotional incentives—help mitigate the negative impact of this pressure. The company also provides operational support in the form of advertising budgets and routine social activities as a stress management strategy. These findings reinforce the argument that the perceived realism of targets and the quality of organizational support are determining factors in transforming work pressure from a threat into a motivating challenge. Abstract

This research analyzes the Profitability Ratios of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, measured from the aspects of Return on Total Assets and Rate of Return on Loans. The main problem in this research is: What is the level of profitability ratio of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk as measured by Return on Total Assets and Rate of Return on Loans (Period 2020-2024) Based on the defined problem limitation, the research aims to determine the level of profitability ratio as measured by Return on Total Assets of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Period 2020- 2024), and determine the level of profitability ratio as measured by the Rate of Return on Loans of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Period 2020-2024). The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method. The data used in this research is secondary data, sourced from financial statements obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research utilizes a single-variable approach with two indicators: Return on Total Assets and Rate of Return on Loans. The results of the research indicate that PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is in a very sound financial condition, with a trend toward improvement and stability. This reflects the success of the bank’s management in effectively managing its assets and loans, and serves as a positive indication of the company’s profitability and long-term business sustainability.

Abstract

Environmental issues such as plastic waste, global warming, marine pollution, and deforestation continue to worsen and are a shared human responsibility. This study aims to analyze the effect of sustainable packaging on purchasing decisions, with attitudes toward the environment as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach with statistical data analysis to produce objective results. Findings show that sustainable packaging has a positive and significant impact on attitudes toward the environment, meaning consumers respond more positively when they perceive product packaging as sustainable. However, attitudes toward the environment were not proven to significantly influence purchasing decisions, indicating that positive views on environmental issues do not always translate into buying behavior. Conversely, sustainable packaging directly and significantly affects purchasing decisions, suggesting that packaging plays a stronger role in encouraging consumers to make purchases. Mediation analysis further confirms that attitudes toward the environment do not mediate the relationship between sustainable packaging and purchasing decisions, emphasizing that the impact of packaging is more direct and independent

Abstract

In the digital era, electronic word of mouth (eWOM) has become a key factor in shaping consumer behavior on e-commerce platforms, especially in Indonesia, where marketplaces like Tokopedia dominate online transactions with a user base reaching hundreds of millions. However, the influence of electronic word of mouth is often mediated by consumers' level of trust in the platform and its recommendations. This study aims to analyze the role of trust as a mediating variable in the relationship between electronic word of mouth and purchasing decisions among Tokopedia users in Pontianak City. This study aims to analyze the role of trust in mediating the influence of electronic word of mouth on purchasing decisions, using a case study on the Tokopedia marketplace platform in Pontianak City. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 137 respondents who had made purchases on the Tokopedia marketplace platform in Pontianak City. Data analysis was performed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling method using SmartPLS 4.1 software. The results of this study indicate that electronic word of mouth has no effect, while trust has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Furthermore, trust was shown to significantly mediate the relationship between electronic word of mouth and purchasing decisions. These findings confirm that consumer trust plays a significant role in enhancing purchasing decisions through positive reviews, ratings, and customer comments on the Tokopedia marketplace platform.
