Abstract

This research explores the dynamics of seafarers' lives in the face of digital transformation with a focus on the ethical and moral aspects of the use of technology. Through a qualitative approach with phenomenological design, the study involved 15 seafarers from various levels of position. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The results reveal that digital transformation has fundamentally changed the way seafarers work and interact socially, with varying rates of technology adoption on various aspects of ship operations. Data privacy and moral responsibility are top concerns, while social interaction patterns show significant declines in direct communication and team cohesion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of cloud-based management information systems in improving operational efficiency in logistics sector companies. Along with technological developments, logistics companies face challenges in managing increasingly complex data and operations. The implementation of cloud-based systems offers a solution to simplify the process by increasing flexibility, speed of access, and reducing IT infrastructure costs. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study and library research approach. Data is collected through literature reviews involving various sources such as journal articles, books, and industry reports related to the implementation of cloud systems in the logistics sector. An analysis of the literature shows that companies that implement cloud-based systems have successfully improved operational efficiency through reduced processing times, workflow automation, and better collaboration capabilities between teams. In addition, cloud-based systems also allow companies to manage data in a more secure and structured manner. However, the study also found several challenges, such as data security risks and reliance on a stable internet network. Therefore, the successful implementation of a cloud-based management information system is highly dependent on good infrastructure readiness and risk management. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of cloud system implementation strategies in the logistics sector, as well as provide guidance for companies in maximizing operational efficiency through information technology.

Abstract

The increasing demand for effective water quality monitoring has driven the need for advanced technologies that can provide accurate, real-time insights into ecosystem health. This study explores the use of Copernicus Sentinel data for monitoring water quality and ecosystem health, focusing on case studies from both urban and rural areas. Sentinel satellites, with their multi-spectral imaging capabilities, offer a powerful tool for assessing key water quality indicators such as turbidity, chlorophyll concentration, and surface temperature. By comparing data across diverse environments, the study highlights how urbanization, agricultural activities, and natural phenomena contribute to the degradation of water quality. The findings demonstrate that Sentinel data can be crucial in detecting early signs of ecosystem stress, enabling timely interventions to mitigate environmental risks. The study also discusses the challenges in applying remote sensing technologies in complex environments and emphasizes the importance of integrating satellite data with on-ground measurements for comprehensive ecosystem management. This research provides a foundation for expanding the use of satellite data in environmental monitoring, particularly for policymakers and environmental agencies tasked with managing water resources.

Abstract

This study focuses on the challenges and efforts of community empowerment in reducing stunting rates through the Canting Gula Mojo Program in Mojokerto City. The primary issues addressed include the high prevalence of stunting in certain areas with diverse socioeconomic conditions, limited access to nutritional resources, and low awareness among families regarding the importance of proper childcare and balanced nutrition. Drawing on Jim Ife's (1997) theory of community empowerment, this research analyzes how the provision of resources, opportunities, knowledge, and skills can enhance community capabilities in addressing these challenges. The program aims to empower the community through education, distribution of nutritional resources, and capacity building for health cadres to achieve sustainable stunting reduction targets. This study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing primary data from in-depth interviews with policymakers, health cadres, and beneficiaries, alongside secondary data from official reports by the Mojokerto City Health Office. The findings reveal that the Canting Gula Mojo Program increased community participation by up to 85% in 2023, with 80% of the target audience improving their understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition. Furthermore, the program successfully reduced stunting rates to 2.26% in the same year, marking a significant decrease compared to previous years. This achievement was facilitated by providing skill training to health cadres, distributing high-protein foods, and monitoring children's growth using anthropometric kits. The study concludes that community empowerment through the Canting Gula Mojo Program is not only effective in enhancing individual and community capacities but also serves as an impactful innovation in stunting prevention efforts. Nevertheless, challenges such as budget constraints, access disparities, and the need for more detailed data mapping continue to influence program implementation. Consequently, this research recommends strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration, more targeted budget allocation, and optimizing technology for data mapping and equitable resource distribution. The program's framework can also be adapted and replicated in other regions to align with the national strategy of achieving "zero new stunting" by 2024.

Abstract

In this research, methylene blue was reduced using waste from green kerrang shells. Optimum results for variations in mass and time with masses of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 grams and 0.1 mg/L methylene blue occurred at a mass of 0.3 grams with 60 minutes. Result of adsorption capacity. Optimum adsorption capacity for Methylene Blue with adsorbent from green mussel shell chitosan with a contact time of 10-60 minutes with variations in optimum adsorption time with a time of 10-60 minutes and a mass of 0.3 grams with an adsorption capacity of 3 mg/ g, From the results of this research, the mass of chitosan has an effect on decreasing the adsorption concentration, which is greater as the contact time increases. In this study, the largest adsorption capacity occurred at a mass of 0.3 grams. In this study, the maximum adsorption removal percentage in the mass variation was at 60 minutes, which means that at 10-50 minutes, the adsorption removal percentage was still gradually increasing with the highest result at 60 minutes with 98.9%.

Abstract

Economic growth seen from GDP value will always be an important topic in projecting a country's progress, the many factors that drive economic growth in a country need to be studied further for the real impact that will occur on the economic growth of a region. This study examines the influence of several factors driving economic growth: investment projected by Foreign Direct Investment and Domestic Investment, per capita income, and population. This study analyzes panel data obtained from 34 provinces in Indonesia in the period 2019-2023 and found a positive influence on the level of investment and per capita income on economic growth, but the analysis carried out showed that the total population hurts the level of economic growth in the area studied.
