Abstract

The skincare industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth as public awareness of the importance of skincare increases and the use of social media as a source of product information becomes more widespread. In the Muslim consumer segment, religiosity and influencer marketing are factors that are widely studied because they have the potential to influence the purchase decisions of halal products. This study aims to analyze the role of religiosity and influencer marketing on the purchasing decisions of Somethinc halal skincare among Muslim consumers thru a literature review approach. The method used is a literature review by examining various national and international scientific publications obtained from Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Emerald Insight, as well as Sinta and Scopus indexed journals for the period 2021–2026. The selected articles are relevant to the themes of religiosity, influencer marketing, Muslim consumer behavior, and purchasing decisions for halal skincare products. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and comparative analysis to identify patterns in findings across studies. The study results show that religiosity contributes to shaping the values, attitudes, and considerations of Muslim consumers in choosing halal skincare products. In addition, influencer marketing thru aspects of credibility, attractiveness, and communication skills of the influencer also influences consumer perception and trust toward the product. These findings affirm the interaction of internal and external factors in the formation of halal skincare purchase decisions and enrich the study of Muslim consumer behavior and digital marketing.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of working-class authoritarianism and power relations in Indonesia’s gig economy, with a focus on online transportation workers. The research addresses the paradox of why workers positioned in vulnerable and exploitative labor structures often accept platform domination and resist collective opposition. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving nine informants from government and private-sector backgrounds. The findings show that the relationship between digital platforms and workers is structurally asymmetrical, despite being framed as an equal partnership. Platforms exercise control through algorithms, incentives, ratings, and sanctions, while workers remain economically dependent on the system. The study also finds that ideological hegemony operates through narratives of flexibility, independence, and digital entrepreneurship, which normalize inequality and weaken critical class consciousness. In this context, working-class authoritarianism emerges as a psychosocial response to economic insecurity and the need for stability. The study concludes that domination in the gig economy is sustained not only through technological and economic control, but also through the production of consent. These findings highlight the need for stronger labor protection and the development of workers’ critical awareness in the digital economy.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the halal industry in Indonesia has created broader career opportunities for young Muslims. However, studies examining the relationship between halal industry literacy and career intention in the halal sector remain limited. This study aims to explore halal industry literacy and career intentions among Muslim Generation Z students toward the halal sector. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using purposive sampling. The participants consisted of 14 Muslim Generation Z students in Serang City from various academic disciplines. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The findings indicate that students’ halal industry literacy remains at a basic level, focusing primarily on halal products rather than understanding the halal industry as an integrated economic ecosystem. Meanwhile, career intention in the halal sector is categorized as potential, as students generally express interest in the sector but lack clear career planning. The study further suggests that a better understanding of the halal industry tends to be associated with stronger interest in pursuing careers within the halal sector. In addition, career information, motivation, and social environment were found to contribute to students’ career intentions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the significance of the halal lifestyle, digital experience, and store atmosphere in fostering consumer loyalty, utilizing a literature review method. A qualitative approach was adopted, drawing upon scholarly journals, academic books, and prior research relevant to the topic. Data collection was conducted through documentation and a systematic literature search. Content analysis was employed to identify themes, patterns, and relationships among concepts related to consumer loyalty within the framework of the Islamic economy. The findings indicate that the halal lifestyle serves as a core value that instills trust and a sense of comfort in consumers. Digital experiences facilitate access to information, interaction, and services, thereby enhancing consumer engagement with the brand. Meanwhile, the store atmosphere generates an emotional experience that supports satisfaction and encourages repeat visits. These three elements are interconnected in creating a meaningful consumption experience and play a pivotal role in boosting consumer loyalty. This study offers a conceptual understanding of how the integration of halal values, digital experiences, and the physical environment shapes consumer loyalty from the perspective of the Islamic economy.

Abstract

Among Muslim consumers in Serang, the decision to purchase halal cosmetics is influenced by a combination of religious considerations, environmental awareness, and social surroundings rather than solely by personal beauty needs. This research investigates how mandatory halal certification, environmentally friendly product innovation, and peer influence contribute to consumer purchasing decisions. The study employed a quantitative approach using questionnaires distributed to 293 respondents chosen through purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted with IBM SPSS Statistics through multiple linear regression methods. The results reveal that all three independent variables significantly affect purchasing decisions for halal cosmetics. Among them, eco-friendly product innovation provides the greatest influence on consumer preferences, followed by peer influence and mandatory halal certification. In addition, the simultaneous testing demonstrates that the variables collectively have a meaningful impact on purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) further indicates that the model possesses substantial explanatory capability in predicting variations in consumer behavior. Overall, the findings reflect that Muslim consumers in Serang tend to consider not only halal assurance in accordance with sharia principles, but also environmental responsibility and social acceptance when selecting cosmetic products.

Abstract

Indonesia’s economic growth during the 2020–2026 period reflects a post-pandemic recovery process supported by accelerated digital transformation and relative political stability. However, economic growth has remained at around 5 percent and has not yet reached higher long-term development targets. This study aims to analyze the role of digital transformation and political stability in shaping Indonesia’s economic growth trajectory, identify the opportunities and challenges of digitalization, and evaluate the effectiveness of development policies implemented during the 2020–2026 period. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through documentary analysis and literature review from various sources, including government reports, policy documents, academic publications, and institutional datasets related to digital transformation, political stability, and economic development. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis through the stages of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that digital transformation contributes to improvements in productivity, economic efficiency, financial inclusion expansion, and MSME competitiveness. These impacts are reinforced by infrastructure development policies implemented primarily before 2025, including the construction of the National Capital City (IKN), roads, and dams, which strengthen regional connectivity and economic integration. Meanwhile, during the 2025–2026 period, the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (Makan Bergizi Gratis/MBG) and the strengthening of the Red and White Cooperative (Koperasi Merah Putih) reflect a policy orientation toward inclusive development and grassroots economic empowerment, although they also increase fiscal financing requirements. From a macroeconomic perspective, rising fiscal commitments may influence market risk perceptions, reflected in exchange rate volatility of the Indonesian rupiah and fluctuations in capital market performance. Political stability remains a key determinant in maintaining investor confidence and ensuring policy continuity. The study concludes that the synergy between digital transformation, political stability, and development policy trade-offs constitutes a critical determinant of Indonesia’s inclusive and sustainable growth trajectory.

Abstract

This study aims to conceptually examine the role of brand image in shaping consumer purchase intention toward local products, as well as to identify its supporting factors. The method used is strictly library research with a descriptive-analytical approach, synthesizing various previous literature from published academic journals. The results of the literature synthesis indicate that purchase intention does not form in a vacuum but is triggered by functional advantages (product innovation, price perception, and digital promotion). Furthermore, this study confirms the theoretical position of brand image as the main mediator variable or "psychological bridge". Rather than empirically proving statistical correlation, this study finds that across the literature, brand image consistently acts as a mitigator of perceived risk, transforming consumer doubt into actual interest. The implication is that local business actors are required not only to focus on physical quality but also to build brand reputation in parallel. This study recommends further empirical testing to quantitatively measure the scale of this mediation effect in the field

Abstract

The digital infrastructure gap has forced the majority of traditional grocery wholesalers in Indonesia, who still rely on manual record keeping to face intense pressure from modern retailers. This qualitative case study examines whether the integration of Mobile POS (Qasir), WhatsApp Business, and Instagram on the QRIS platform can build digital resilience and operational efficiency at Toko Isa Sembako in Bandar Lampung. Through interviews with five informants, three weeks of observation, and analysis based on the UTAUT/UTAUT2, SWOT, and 5P frameworks, it was found that Toko Isa had only recently digitized its payment process via QRIS GoPay Merchant. Although aware of the benefits of Qasir, the owner was hindered by poor connectivity, staff limitations, and the burden of adapting to new habits. The SWOT matrix identified these operational gaps as the most critical internal weaknesses. As a solution, the 5P strategy establishes the adoption of Qasir as the first step, as POS data serves as the factual foundation for determining products, prices, and promotions in social commerce. This low-cost synergy demonstrates that the combination of Mobile POS and social media offers a practical path to long-term business resilience through regular training, which simultaneously has tangible implications for SME digital inclusion policies

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of Audit Standard (SA) 330 by auditors regarding fraud risks at PT Indofarma Tbk. Despite irregularities totaling IDR 471.83 billion and chronic financial distress, the entity maintained Unqualified Opinions for the 2021–2022 period. This study presents novelty through a three-dimensional triangulation approach—empirical, academic, and professional standards—to analyze audit technical evaluation. Using a descriptive qualitative method based on documentation study, the findings indicate that the implementation of the auditor's response was not fully optimal in mitigating material risks. Key findings reveal a potential weakening of professional skepticism and inappropriate nature, timing, and extent of audit procedures in detecting receivable manipulations and off-balance sheet liabilities (online loans). This study concludes that the audit's failure to bridge information asymmetry left material risks undetected until a public financial crisis emerged.

Abstract

Corporate tax avoidance remains a critical issue for state revenue, reflected in the inconsistent effective tax rates of capital-intensive companies in Indonesia. Theoretically, capital intensity serves as a tax shield through depreciation expenses, yet empirical findings remain inconsistent. This study synthesizes prior empirical literature to unravel this paradox. Using a library research method employing systematic literature review, data were extracted from 17 academic works and one regulatory document, analyzed through content analysis and thematic synthesis. The synthesis of 13 empirical studies maps three patterns: five studies show a positive effect, supporting the tax shield hypothesis where fixed assets are opportunistically exploited to reduce taxable income; seven studies show no effect, as high fixed assets are purely driven by operational necessity; and one study shows a negative effect, consistent with the political cost hypothesis, where larger assets trigger stricter tax authority scrutiny, prompting firms to appear more compliant. This study also finds that corporate governance mechanisms, such as Good Corporate Governance, independent commissioners, and Corporate Social Responsibility, effectively curb tax avoidance among capital-intensive firms. These findings imply that tax oversight strategies should be tailored to each industry sector rather than generalizing all capital-intensive firms as high risk
