Abstract

The main factor in determining the power of a ship's main engine is the ship's resistance resulting from the shape of the ship's hull. Calculation of ship resistance can be done using software, namely Maxsurf Resistance, which can simulate the shape of a ship's hull under water. This research aims to determine the total resistance of a purse seine fishing vessel and the power required to move a 30 GT vessel. The design made from this ship model is then analyze to calculate the ship's resistance a nd the required engine power. The ship resistance calculation method uses the Holtrop method. This method is used because the hull of a 30 GT ship is a V-shaped model. From the results of the discussion, it is concluded that ship resistance can be seen from several speed variations produced by looking at the service speed of 30 GT fishing boats in the Takalar Regency area. From this research, the resistance value for speeds of 0-6 knots resulted in a resistance value of 1.4 kN and engine power of 5,861 hp. Then there is a significant need for engine power or power which occurs from a speed of 7 knots to 10 knots because the value of the ship's resistance continues to increase in line with the speed of the ship. At the maximum speed of a 30 GT purse seine fishing vessel of 10 knots, the total resistance of the vessel is 7.4 kN and the engine power required is 50.572 H.

Abstract

Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) cultivation is growing rapidly in Indonesia and has various production scales, from traditional to super-intensive. This study examines the technical and economic differences of each production scale based on literature studies. Technically, the traditional scale still relies on natural environmental conditions with a stocking density of 5–9 shrimp/m2 and a productivity of 0.1–0.5 tons/ha/period. The traditional-plus scale is a development of the traditional scale with several improvements in technical aspects such as pond bottom soil processing, additional feeding, and simple water quality management with a stocking density of 10–49 shrimp/m2 and a productivity of 0.7–1.5 tons/ha/period. The semi-intensive scale begins to implement better aeration and water quality management, increasing the stocking density to 50–79 shrimp/m2 with a productivity of 4–8 tons/ha/period. At intensive and super-intensive scales, the use of technologies such as biofloc systems, Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), and Internet of Things (IoT) allows for higher stocking densities (80-150 shrimp/m2 and 250-400 shrimp/m2) with productivity reaching 15-20 tons/ha/period and 100-150 tons/ha/period. Economically, a more intensive production scale shows greater benefits. The traditional scale has an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 10-20% with a payback period of 3-5 years, while the semi-intensive and intensive scales have an IRR of 20-50% with a shorter payback period (1.5-3 years). The super-intensive scale offers the highest benefits with an IRR> 50%, a Net Present Value (NPV) of billions of rupiah, and a payback period of less than 1.5 years. However, intensive and super-intensive scales require large initial capital and more complex management systems, especially in terms of water quality and biosecurity. The results of this study indicate that increasing the scale of production can increase efficiency and profits, but also carries higher risks. Therefore, the selection of production scales must consider technical readiness, financial resources, and good risk management. The application of technologies such as biofloc, RAS, and IoT has the potential to increase the efficiency and sustainability of whiteleg shrimp cultivation. Support from the government and stakeholders is needed to increase the competitiveness of the aquaculture industry through policies that support innovation and sustainability.

Abstract

Online applications are something that currently cannot be separated from people's lives, especially urban communities. The opportunity to utilize online applications is also applied in food sales based on the use of online applications, especially for sellers in the category of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Activities that utilize online applications are called Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) where physical contact is not required between sellers and buyers. Online applications are one of the things that can support economic progress, but the use of online applications for sales is still limited depending on the area, areas with poor internet conditions usually rarely use online applications for sales. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the marketing of fishery products (Pecel lele) using online applications along the Jatinangor highway which is an area with a high percentage of students and high potential for internet use. The conclusion of this study shows that most of the pecel lele stalls along Jalan Raya Jatinangor have used online applications for sales and fifty percent of pecel lele stalls stated that turnover from using online applications tends to be higher than conventional sales. The conclusion of this study is that in 12 catfish pecel stalls located along the Jatinangor highway, 75% of all stalls have online applications for sales and 25% do not have online applications for sales. In the turnover obtained, 6 out of 12 catfish pecel stalls get higher turnover profits, 3 out of 12 catfish pecel stalls have decreasing turnover profits, the remaining 3 stalls that do not use online applications do not experience changes in turnover profits, namely sales do not increase or decrease.
