Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepadatan pada pengangkutan dengan suhu rendah terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan kelulusan hidup ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Oktober 2016 di Laboratorium Basah dan Kolam Percobaan, Ciparanje Unpad. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuan berupa kepadatan ikan sebanyak 5 ekor/L, 10 ekorLl, 15 ekor/L dengan pemingsanan, serta 10 ekor/L tanpa pemingsanan sebagai pelakuan kontrol. Pemingsanan dilakukan dengan cara penurunan suhu air menjadi 10±0,1 ºC. Pengamatan yang dilakukan terhadap kelulusan hidup setelah pengangkutan, kadar glukosa darah, kelulusan hidup setelah pemeliharaan pasca pengangkutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan dengan kepadatan 15 ekor/l menunjukan hasil terbaik, yaitu kelulusan hidup setelah pengangkutan 98,33 %, kadar glukosa darah 192 mg/dL serta kelulusan hidup setelah pemeliharaan pasca pengangkutan 88,33 %.

This research aims to develop a sustainable aquaculture system using single-sex nilem fish in trophic level-based farming and to analyze the feeding habits, types of meal and preference level of the feed in nilem farmed in Cirata Reservoir. In addition, it also aims to determine the fish's ability as a biocontrol agent for water cleaning by measuring the ability to utilize periphyton attached to the floating nets. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Ciparanje, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran and floating nets of Cirata reservoir. Observation of the performance of biological testing and food feeding applies the experimental design method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting 5 treatments and 3 replications. The five treatments include non-artificial feeding (treatment A), 1% feeding of body weight per day (treatment B), 2% feeding of body weight per day (treatment C), 3% of feeding of body weight per day (treatment D), and 4% feeding of body weight per day (treatment E). The results showed there was no difference in the survival and growth levels of the female single-sex fish given both commercial and non-commercial feed. The highest feed efficiency was observed in the 3% of commercial feeding treatment, amounting to 55.30%. The fish are herbivorous and generalist with trophic levels between 1.03% and 1.45% eating planktons for living. Fish fed with artificial food to 4% of the biomass still graze on phytoplankton as the main source of food, but adapt by changing the natural feeding and tend to be ineffective in utilizing the available food resources in the waters. During the study, the types and amount of periphyton attached to the nets have decreased. Higher commercial feeding level results in the higher density of periphyton in the floating nets.

Abstract

Osteochilus melanopleurus or kalabau fish is indigenous fish of the Kampar River,Riau. The information on morphological and meristical characteristics of this fish,however, is almost none. To understand the morphological and meristical characteristicsof the fish, a study has been conducted from April to September 2017. The fishwas sampled using fish trap and nets (1.15 cm and 5 cm mesh size). Twenty one characteristicswere measured using a Vernier calliper and then each character was comparedto Standard Length (SL). There were 96 fishes captured, consist of 59 males(160-355 mm SL, 100-1800 g BW), 22 females (310-515 mm SL, 850-4000 g BW)and 15 juveniles (80 -180 mm SL, 11.50- 194 g BW). In general, there was no differencecharacteristics in male and female fish. The distance between mouth lip to pectoralfin was around 51% of SL; dorsal fin to pelvic fin was around 39% of SL; dorsalback to caudal bottom was around 28 % of SL and anal fin back was around 21 % ofSL and TL was around 130% of SL. Meristical characteristics of fish are as follows: D.II. 151/2-191/2 ; P. I. 14-17; V. I.8; A.II.61/2; C.VI.6.II. The sex of juveniles, however,could not be identified as gonad in this young fish was not developed yet. Based ondata obtained, it can be concluded that the relative growth of all characteristics measuredwere almost isometric to SL.

Abstract

Sungai Cilutung merupakan anak sungai dari Sungai Cimanuk di Jawa Barat. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman ikan yang hidup di Sungai Cilutung pada bulan September-November 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam riset adalah metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan dilakukan pada tiga stasiun penelitian. Parameter yang diamati yaitu kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, dominansi, dan keseragaman. Ikan yang tertangkap sebanyak 300 ekor terdiri dari 10 spesies dalam 4 famili dan identifikasi menggunakan metode taksonomi dengan melihat ciri meristik dan morfometrik. Indeks keanekaragaman pada stasiun 1, 2, dan 3 memiliki nilai 1.03 ≤ H’ ≤ 1.57 dan dalam kategori rendah. Indeks dominansi pada stasiun 1, 2, dan 3 memiliki nilai 0.28 < C ≤ 0.38 dan dalam kategori rendah. Indeks keseragaman memiliki nilai 0.26 < E ≤ 0.37 dan dalam kategori kecil, struktur komunitas tertekan.   The Cilutung River is a tributary of the Cimanuk River in West Java. This research aims to determine the diversity of fish that live in the Cilutung River in September-November 2020. The method used in the research is the survey method. The sampling technique was determined by purposive sampling method and was carried out at three research stations. Parameters observed were abundance, diversity, dominance, and evenness. 300 fish caught consisting of 10 species in 4 families and identified using taxonomic method by looking at meristic and morphometric characteristic. The diversity index at stations 1, 2, and 3 has a value of 1.03 H' 1.57 and is in a low category. The dominance index at stations 1, 2, and 3 has a value of 0.28 < C 0.38 and is in a low category. The evenness index has a value of 0.26 < E 0.37 and in the small category, the community structure is depressed.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of consumer satisfaction at the Palembang Bird Market and analyze the main variables that greatly influence the level of consumer satisfaction. Data collection and processing will be carried out in September – October 2023 in Palembang City. The research method used is the case study method, with a sampling technique namely purposive sampling. The data analysis used is the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The results of this research showed that the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) value was 76.89% in the satisfied category. The variable with the highest level of satisfaction is the product quality variable for ornamental fish health attributes with a Mean Satisfaction Score (MSS) of 4.46. The variable that has the lowest level of satisfaction is the shop atmosphere variable on the shop cleanliness attribute with a Mean Satisfaction Score (MSS) of 2.89. The main variable that most influences satisfaction by looking at the level of importance is the product quality variable on the attributes of variations and types of ornamental fish with a Mean Importance Score (MIS) value of 4.76.

Abstract

Pangandaran has high potential in the tourism and fisheries sectors. Marine resources that are open access and can be used by anyone cause the sustainability of resources to be threatened due to over-exploitation. Traditional fishermen are one of the livelihoods owned by the majority of coastal communities, especially in the Pangandaran Coastal area. However, fishing activities have not been carried out wisely, and become a threat to the sustainability of sustainable marine biota. Small fishermen get by-catch in the form of protected marine life and are included in the IUCN Red List and the CITES Appendix list. This research was conducted to find out the species of marine biota with important conservation status or included in the status of the IUCN red list and the CITES Appendix list caught and traded in the coastal areas of Pangandaran Regency. The research was conducted using field observation method with purposive sampling technique in 2 locations; the east coast and the west coast of Pangandaran. There are 47 fish species found in all research sites with conservation status Not Evaluated (12.8%), Least Concern (83.0%), Near Threatened (2.1%), Vulnerable (2.1%), and included in CITES Appendix II (2.1%).

Abstract

Pemberian pakan merupakan faktor yang penting dalam proses budidaya ikan air tawar. Pemberian pakan secara manual, meskipun masih umum digunakan, sering kali menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti ketidakpastian jumlah pakan, ketepatan waktu, serta kebutuhan akan tenaga kerja yang intensif. Sistem otomatis yang bisa digunakan pada budidaya ikan adalah dengan membuat dan menggunakan alat pemberi pakan ikan otomatis atau automatic feeder. Automatic feeder merupakan perangkat mekanis atau elektronik yang dirancang untuk memberikan pakan kepada ikan secara otomatis pada interval waktu yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini memakai metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yaitu metode penelitian yang sistematis dan obyektif untuk mengumpulkan, mengevaluasi, dan mensintesis bukti-bukti relevan yang bersumber dari literatur yang telah dipublikasikan. Autofeeder terdiri dari 4 komponen utama yaitu tempat penyimpanan pakan, control box/timer, takaran dan pelontar. Automatic feeder bekerja menggunakan tenaga listrik yang dapat menaburkan pakan ikan secara otomatis dan dapat diatur frekuensi pemberian pakannya sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas. Pemberi pakan ikan otomatis juga dapat mengurangi tenaga dan waktu bagi pembudidaya dalam memberi makan ikan. Automatic feeder modern dilengkapi dengan sistem kontrol dan pemantauan yang dapat diakses secara remote, memungkinkan petani untuk mengatur dan memonitor pemberian pakan dari jarak jauh.

Abstract

The increasing waste production in Indonesia, particularly plastic waste, poses significant environmental challenges. To address this issue, biodegradable films (biofilms) made from natural polymers like carrageenan and tapioca starch are being explored as eco-friendly alternatives for packaging materials. Carrageenan, a polysaccharide extracted from red algae, has potential as a biofilm due to its stability and gel-forming properties. However, it has poor water resistance and elasticity, which can be improved by adding plasticizers and carbohydrate fillers like tapioca starch. Tapioca starch enhances the flexibility and strength of biofilms, making them suitable for packaging applications. Thickness, tensile strength, elongation, tear resistance, surface morphology, soil degradation, functional group analysis, solubility, water absorption, water vapor transmission rate, color, and transparency are important in characteristics and quality.

Abstract

The IMTA cultivation system is a cultivation system that combines several commodities with different trophic levels. In an effort to increase the productivity and sustainability of shrimp cultivation, the Pond-Water Integration (IMTA) system has emerged as a solution in the field of cultivation. Tiger shrimp cultivation using the IMTA system is a combination of two or three cultivation commodities, where nutritional/feed waste from higher level animals is consumed by lower level thropic animals. This research aims to determine the influence of the IMTA system on the growth of tiger prawns. The method used in this research is exploratory descriptive from various literature and research results that have been published, either from books, national journals or international journals. Based on a comparison of the results of previous research, it can be concluded that the IMTA system has a significant effect on the growth of tiger prawns, there are real differences in growth such as weight gain, relative growth rate, and survival rate of tiger prawns (P. monodon).

Abstract

Dirjen KKP mulai memberlakukan larangan penggunaan induk asal tambak sejak bulan Mei 2019 dan mewajibkan menggunakan indukan yang berasal dari breeding program. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kurva pertumbuhan, mendapatkan model matematika yang paling tepat untuk menduga dan menggambarkan pertumbuhan calon induk udang vaname dan hasil persilangannya sehingga didapat hasil calon induk udang terbaik. Adapun model yang digunakan model Richards, MMF, Gompertz, Logistik dan Von Bertalanffy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan objek penelitian yaitu udang vaname Galur G Jantan, Galur G Betina, Galur R Jantan, Galur R Betina, Hybrid GR Jantan, Hybrid GR Betina, Hybrid RG Jantan dan Hybrid RG Betina. Variabel yang diamati pada objek penelitian adalah bobot badan selama 201 hari. Data dianalisis menggunakan SAS, dibuat grafik serta kurva pertumbuhan, dilihat nilai koefisien korelasi (r) dan galat baku (Se) serta nilai heterosisnya. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu (1) bentuk kurva pertumbuhan berbentuk sigmoid, dengan titik infleksi pada minggu ke 14, (2) model matematika kurva pertumbuhan terbaik adalah model Richards dan MMF dengan nilai koefisien korelasi yang tinggi (0,997-0,999) serta galat baru (standar error) yang rendah (±0,76 hingga ±1,18), (3) heterosis efek terbaik merupakan hasil persilangan jantan Galur G dan betina Galur R dengan presentase nilai heterosis untuk karakter bobot yaitu 17,24% dan 17,58%. The Director General of KKP has started to enforce a ban on the use of broodstock from ponds since May 2019 and requires the use of broodstock from breeding programs. This study aims to determine the shape of the growth curve, obtain the most appropriate mathematical model to predict and describe the growth of prospective vannamei shrimp broodstock and the results of their crosses so that the best prospective shrimp broodstock results are obtained. The model used is the Richards, MMF, Gompertz, Logistics and Von Bertalanffy models. The research method used was the case study method which was analyzed descriptively with the research objects namely vaname shrimp Male G Line, Female G Line, Male R Line, Female R Line, Male GR Hybrid, Female GR Hybrid, Male RG Hybrid and Female RG Hybrid. The variable observed in the research object was body weight for 201 days. The data were analyzed using SAS, graphs and growth curves were made, the correlation coefficient (r) and standard error (Se) were seen and the heterosis value. The results obtained are (1) the shape of the growth curve is sigmoid, with an inflection point at week 14, (2) the best growth curve mathematical model is the Richards and MMF model with a high correlation coefficient value (0.997-0.999) and a new error (standard error) is low (±0.76 to ±1.18), (3) the best heterosis effect is the result of crosses of male G lines and R female lines with the percentage of heterosis values for character weights, namely 17.24% and 17.58%.
