Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of resilience and mindset on adaptive behavior among MSME managers in facing digital transformation in the food business sector in Gorontalo City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, with a total sample of 54 respondents. The data analysis technique applied was multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that (1) resilience has a positive and significant effect on adaptive behavior, (2) mindset has a positive and significant effect on adaptive behavior, and (3) resilience and mindset simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on adaptive behavior. Descriptive findings based on business type indicate that the highest levels of resilience and adaptive behavior are found in restaurant businesses, while relatively lower levels are observed in bakery and pastry industries. Based on business duration, entrepreneurs who have operated longer tend to demonstrate better adaptive capabilities compared to newer businesses. This study recommends enhancing digital literacy training, strengthening entrepreneurial mindset, and providing business mentoring programs to improve the adaptive capacity of MSMEs in facing digital transformation.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic condition characterized by increased blood pressure on the artery walls, which can lead to serious complications such as stroke, kidney failure, and heart disease. This study aimed to determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques on lowering blood pressure in elderly people in Bate Linteng and Lambunot Villages, Aceh Besar. This quantitative study used a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest. The study was conducted from August 26 to August 31, 2024, with a population and sample of 16 elderly respondents with a history of hypertension. Data collection was conducted through observation using an observation sheet and the provision of deep breathing relaxation techniques. The results showed that the average blood pressure before the intervention was 148/90 mmHg with a standard deviation of 9.674, while after the intervention, it decreased to 143/87 mmHg with a standard deviation of 9.050. The statistical test results using the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect between deep breathing relaxation techniques and blood pressure reduction. The results of this study are expected to provide information for hypertension sufferers and their families that deep breathing relaxation techniques are a form of non-pharmacological therapy that can be performed independently to control blood pressure.

Abstract

This study aims to characterize the effect of food additives on the quality of meatballs made from palm mushrooms (Volvariella volvacea) and mocaf flour. Meatballs were made with a formulation of 70% palm mushrooms and 30% mocaf, and the addition of carrageenan, CMC, and STPP at concentrations of 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1% with 9 treatments. The parameters analyzed included yield, water content, protein, fiber, organoleptic and production cost. The results showed that the yield ranged from 82.15–96.39% and was significantly different between treatments. Water content was 65.01–70.60%, while the highest protein and fiber content was obtained with the addition of 0.25% carrageenan, respectively 10.53% and 7.97%, respectively. The type and concentration of food additives significantly affected the yield, water content, protein, fiber and texture but did not significantly affect the color and taste of palm mushroom and mocaf flour meatballs.

Abstract

The tradition of visiting the tomb of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin of Banten is a socio-religious practice that remains alive today and plays a significant role in the lives of the people of Banten. This tradition not only reflects religious rituals but also embodies historical, cultural, and spiritual values that shape the identity of the local community. This study aims to examine the tradition of visiting the tomb of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin of Banten as a cultural heritage and a manifestation of the community’s spirituality. The research method employed is a qualitative approach using literature review and archival research. Data were obtained from historical books, scientific journal articles, theses, research reports, and other relevant supporting sources related to the study of pilgrimage, local Islamic culture, and the Sultanate of Banten. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative technique by examining and interpreting various sources to uncover the meanings, practices, and dynamics of the pilgrimage tradition. The results of the study indicate that the tradition of visiting the tomb of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin possesses a strong spiritual dimension as a means of drawing closer to Allah, a medium for self-reflection, and the formation of individual and collective spirituality. Furthermore, the pilgrimage tradition also functions as an intangible cultural heritage that plays a role in preserving history, transmitting cultural values, and strengthening the identity of the Banten community. Amid the development of religious tourism and modernization, the pilgrimage tradition faces dynamics that require sustainable management to ensure that religious and cultural values remain preserved. This study concludes that the tradition of pilgrimage to the tomb of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin of Banten is an important and relevant cultural-religious practice in maintaining the sustainability of the community’s spirituality and cultural identity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of religious moderation in digital media based on the Dick and Carey learning model. The research is grounded in the increasing use of digital media as a primary source of religious information, which has the potential both to strengthen and to undermine the values of religious moderation. The study employed a qualitative approach with a Research and Development (R&D) design. The subjects were university students who actively use digital media. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that students’ understanding of religious moderation remains largely normative and is not yet accompanied by adequate digital literacy skills. The development of the Dick and Carey-based learning model produced interactive digital media, including educational videos, digital modules, and social media content. Implementation of the model demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ comprehension, tolerance, and critical thinking regarding religious content in digital media. Furthermore, the study found that integrating constructivist approaches, social learning, and digital literacy into the learning design effectively reinforced the internalization of religious moderation values. The developed learning model proved effective in enhancing student engagement and fostering inclusive and tolerant attitudes. In conclusion, promoting religious moderation in digital media requires a systematic, technology-based learning approach. This study provides both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of a learning model for religious moderation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine fishermen's perceptions of the Advanced Fishermen's Village Program (KALAJU) in Palaran Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique to select 15 respondents based on specific criteria. The perception indicators used are internal factors, including physiological aspects, interest, attention, unidirectional needs, and emotional conditions. Data analysis was conducted using a Likert scale to measure the fishermen's perception levels toward the program. The research results indicate that fishermen generally have a positive perception of the Advanced Fishermen Village Program across all the indicators used. The cumulative value of the internal factor reached 35.73, which falls into the high category. This indicates that the program was well-received and considered beneficial by the fishermen at the research location. The Maju Fisherman Village Program has strong potential in supporting the improvement of fishermen's welfare. However, sustainable support and effective implementation strategies are needed to maintain and enhance the program's impact.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer segmentation in the traditional culinary business of a Madurese duck rice and fried chicken restaurant in Konawe Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants consisted of the owner, employees, and customers who had visited the restaurant two or more times. The analysis was conducted based on four types of market segmentation: geographic, demographic, psychographic, and behavioral. The results of this study indicate that this restaurant has a fairly broad market segment, encompassing both local and out-of-town customers, with consumers predominantly students, office workers, and families. Authentic taste, affordable prices, and fast service are the main factors attracting customers. Geographic segmentation indicates potential for expansion due to the increase in out-of-town visitors on weekends. Demographic and psychographic segmentation indicate that customers have a high interest in traditional, spicy dishes. Behavioral segmentation indicates the presence of loyal customers and repeat purchasing patterns. These findings provide important recommendations for businesses to develop more effective marketing strategies tailored to the characteristics of their target market.
