Abstract

This study is motivated by the lack of use of mathematics learning tools such as student worksheets (LKPD) at MAS Darul Istiqomah Padangsidimpuan, where teacher handbooks and textbooks are more frequently used. Additionally, the students' mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in the topic of arithmetic sequences and series, are low. This study aims to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of student worksheets (LKPD) based on brain-based learning (BBL) using crossword puzzles in the topic of arithmetic sequences and series for class X at MAS Darul Istiqomah Padangsidimpuan. This research is a research and development (R&D) study. The development model used in this research is the 4D model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The validation of the LKPD includes material validation, media validation, and language validation. The trial was conducted in class X-B, with a total of 19 students at MAS Darul Istiqomah Padangsidimpuan. The material experts, media experts, and language experts each consisted of 2 validators. The results of this study indicate that the developed LKPD meets the eligibility criteria, with an overall validation percentage of 87.32%, categorized as valid. The practicality of all aspects is shown by a value of 85.63%, categorized as very practical. The effectiveness is indicated by an average student learning outcome score of 71%, calculated from the overall average learning outcomes of the students, categorized as effective. Therefore, it can be concluded that the LKPD is feasible, engaging, and capable of improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study highlights the urgent need to instill an understanding of religious moderation among church congregations in Indonesia’s pluralistic society, as a means to reduce religious tensions and extremism. Although the Indonesian government has promoted the concept of religious moderation, its implementation within church communities remains underexplored. This research aims to identify effective strategies for fostering a moderate and inclusive understanding of religious moderation within Indonesian church congregations. A qualitative methodology was employed using a literature review approach based on relevant scholarly sources. Findings indicate that foundational strategies involve strengthening theological understanding of religious moderation from a Christian perspective, emphasizing core teachings such as love as the greatest commandment, Christian hospitality as practical application, and the theological principle of mutual acceptance (Romans 15:7). Furthermore, the study underscores the vital role of churches in this process through inclusive religious education, improved moderate religious literacy, responsible use of social media, engagement in interfaith dialogue, and systematic training programs. Cultivating a moderate and inclusive attitude requires nurturing humility, reinforcing national commitment in line with Pancasila, embracing diversity, rejecting extremism, and actualizing these values in daily life. To overcome challenges, the study recommends effective socialization, enhanced religious literacy, wise media engagement, collaboration with various stakeholders, exemplary leadership, and continuous program evaluation. The study concludes that religious moderation is an essential contribution of the church to national unity, conflict prevention, the upholding of national values, interfaith harmony, and the strengthening of national identity.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to prove whether using Choral Reading strategy can improve reading comprehension of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Palu. This research limited the use of Choral Reading strategy in improving students' reading comprehension, which focuses on literal meaning and descriptive text. This research used quasi-experimental research design involving an experimental class and a control class. The sample of this research were students of VII B as the experimental class, which consisted of 31 students, and the students of VIII A as the control class, which consisted of 31 students. The data was collected through pre-test and post-test. The results confirmed that the mean score of the experimental class had increased from 44.87 to 73.83. On the other hand, in the control class, it has increased from 48.29 to 62.64. The results of the test were analyzed statistically by applying 0.05 level of significance. The researcher found that the value of the t-count was higher than the t-table (4.59 > 1.67). In other words, the implementation of choral reading strategy can develop students' reading comprehension of the eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Palu. This strategy has a significant impact on the English learning process, especially helping students in reading comprehension to find information about the text and understand the entire meaning of the text, so that students can practice choral reading as their independent reading comprehension strategy in the future

Abstract

A healthy and safe environment is essential, because a healthy and secure environment can make a person work quietly, and the results of work are expected to meet the established standards. Job satisfaction is one of the factors that influences the working environment. This research aims to determine the relationship between the work environment and the job satisfaction of nurses in regional general hospitals in Bogor City. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 80 respondents. The sampling technique for this research uses saturated sampling. The analysis technique for this research is descriptive analysis, correlation coefficients (Rank Spearman), coefficient of determination r2, and correlation coefficient hypothesis. This research shows a strong relationship between work environment and job satisfaction based on the results of the Rank Spearman correlation coefficient of 0,759 and from the results of the coefficient of determination is it known that work environment has a positive relationship with a value of r2 = 66,1%. Hypothesis test results in tcount>ttable (10,292>1,664), Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted

Abstract

Corporate culture plays an important role in shaping employee engagement and productivity. PT XYZ held Culture Fest as a form of internalizing cultural values to all employees. This study aims to analyze the effect of experience during the event on satisfaction, post-event attitudes, and employee productivity. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 100 PT XYZ employees who participated in Culture Fest 2024. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results showed that experience during the event had a significant effect on satisfaction and post-event attitudes. In addition, satisfaction with the event also had a positive effect on post-event attitudes, and these attitudes had a significant effect on employee productivity. This research confirms the importance of designing meaningful and relevant internal events as a strategic means to improve employee commitment and performance through strengthening organizational culture.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether human resource competence and locus of control have a significant effect on the quality of village financial reports in Kabila Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo . This study uses a quantitative method. The data used are primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires. The population of this study were all village officials in Kabila Bone District. Sampling used non-probability sampling. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Abstract

The growth of the cosmetics industry in Indonesia is influenced by the increasing demand for beauty products. One of the contributing factors to this trend is a common issue faced by women, especially Gen Z, which is dull skin. One of the most purchased beauty products by Gen Z is facial serum. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of Negative EWOM (Electronic Word of Mouth) and variety seeking on brand switching behavior, with customer engagement as an intervening variable for Scarlett facial serum among Gen Z consumers. This study employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and causal research methods. Data collection is done through a questionnaire survey with 300 respondents who use Scarlett facial serum in Indonesia. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS for research data analysis. The research findings indicate that Negative EWOM have a positive influence on brand switching behavior, Negative EWOM have a negative influence on customer engagement, variety seeking have a negative influence on customer engagement, variety seeking have a positive influence on brand switching behavior, customer engagement have a negative influence on brand switching behavior, Variety seeking on brand switching behavior through customer engagement as an intervening variable have a positive influence, Negative E-WOM on brand switching behavior through customer engagement as an intervening variable also have a positive influence.This research has implications for companies, including the need for companies to enhance product quality and their brand image in response to Negative E-WOM. Companies should also continue to innovate by improving product quality and uniqueness. Additionally, understanding customer preferences and market trends is crucial for competing in a market with many similar products. Maintaining customer interactions can also keep the company top of mind among customers, preventing them from switching to other brands. These actions are necessary to retain customers and prevent brand switching. Referring to several previous studies, research on negative word of mouth, brand switching behavior, variety seeking, and customer engagement has never been conducted simultaneously with the same variables and object.

Abstract

Kawasan Pesisir Ciku Nyinyi tepatnya berada pada Desa Sidodadi, Kabupaten Pesawaran terdapat potensi ekowisata yang telah lama dikembangkan dan sempat menjadi tujuan wisata yang populer. Namun karena semakin lama ketertarikan masyarakat pada ekowisata kawasan Mangrove menurun, serta pemanfaatan hutan Mangrove yang keliru membuat kawasan Mangrove semakin lama terbengkalai. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya adalah memberi pemahaman kepada masyarakat sekitar akan fungsi hutan Mangrove bagi kawasan pesisir. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat dalam konservasi untuk menjaga kelestarian hutan Mangrove pada kegiatan ini sebesar 91 %. Setelah dilakukan konservasi Mangrove dengan pendekatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, pemahaman masyarakat akan pentingnya hutan Mangrove meningkat, secara tidak langsung kesadaran untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem hutan Mangrove juga akan meningkat.

Abstract

This article analyzes Indonesia's communication strategy in the multilateral Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF) cooperation, focusing on strategic communication approaches and environmentally-based digital diplomacy. The CTI-CFF is a crucial platform for Indonesia to build its image as a maritime leader and protector of the region's environment. This research employs a literature review and exploratory content analysis of scientific literature, policy documents, and social media content from relevant institutions, such as the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat. The findings indicate that Indonesia utilizes the CTI-CFF not only as a policy cooperation instrument but also as a strategic communication medium that combines the framing of environmental and food security issues. The "healthy ocean = safe food" framing is a key narrative used to frame environmental issues within the context of national security. Furthermore, using social media as a digital diplomacy tool demonstrates Indonesia's efforts to expand the influence of environmental communication in a public and participatory manner. This study emphasizes the importance of strategic communication in ecologically based regional cooperation. It opens up opportunities for further research on the effectiveness of digital diplomacy and public engagement in national environmental campaigns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of core competency strategies in human resources (HR) in improving company performance, with a case study at PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk. The research focuses on three main aspects: identifying and analyzing the core competencies required in HR, strategies for managing core competencies in HR, and analyzing the relationship between core competencies in HR and company performance. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research results indicate that the development of core HR competencies, such as leadership, technological mastery, and results orientation, plays a significant role in improving company performance and operational efficiency. Management strategies encompassing continuous training, performance evaluation systems, and strengthening a collaborative work culture are key to reinforcing core HR competencies. The findings also indicate a strong correlation between effective management of core HR competencies and overall improvements in company performance, which contributes to achieving long-term competitive advantage.
