In today's digital era, revitalizing the hospitality industry through technological innovation is crucial for enhancing competitiveness and improving customer experience. By gaining a deeper understanding of customer needs and developing service innovations, hotels can deliver more personalized and satisfying experiences. This shift in vision toward better customer service underscores the need for continued research on the paradigm shift within the hospitality sector. This study aims to observe and explore changes in the hospitality industry, with the goal of identifying paradigm evolutions and their contributions to service efficiency and quality. The research is expected to offer new insights into the dimensions of customer experience and internal operations that require rethinking, while also identifying cohesive strategies to integrate digital and physical elements. Furthermore, it analyzes the impact of hotel development control policies, management strategies, and technological innovations, thereby contributing both theoretically and practically to the development of the hospitality industry in Yogyakarta in response to the challenges of digital transformation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how local factors affect the practice of religious moderation in Pejambon Village, Negeri Katon District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The primary focus of this research lies in the role of local leadership in internalizing and implementing the four main pillars of religious moderation, namely national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodation to local culture in the lives of rural communities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method. Data collection techniques were done through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The research procedure refers to six stages of case studies according to Robert K. Yin, while the informants were selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data is analyzed through pattern matching, explanation creation, and time series analysis. The study results show that local leadership plays a significant role in contextually building a narrative of moderation through example, deliberation, and social participation. The practice of moderation is not conveyed through formal instruction alone. Still, it is culturally shaped through social interaction, interfaith activities, and strengthening local values that align with national principles. Leadership prioritizing social awareness, openness, and inclusivity has maintained social cohesion and enhanced inter-religious harmony in a pluralistic village. These findings contribute to developing a theory of local leadership based on the values of religious moderation at the grassroots level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how local factors through a Buddhist approach influence the practice of religious moderation in the village of Rajabasa Lama, Labuhan Ratu District, East Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. The primary focus of this research is on the role of Buddhists in internalizing and implementing the four main pillars of religious moderation, namely commitment to nationalism, tolerance, anti-violence, and appreciation of local culture in the life of the village community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data collection techniques involve participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. According to Colaizzi, the research procedure refers to the seven stages of phenomenology, while informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data are analyzed through pattern matching, explanation making, and time series analysis. The research results show that Buddhist communities in the village of Rajabasa Lama have successfully implemented religious moderation by integrating the values of the Hasta Arya Marga teachings in Buddhism and the principles of multiculturalism in social life. National commitment, a sense of tolerance, anti-violence, and appreciation for their local culture are reflected in inclusive attitudes, active tolerance, and participation in interfaith activities without creating exclusive boundaries. This moderation process is formed through the practice of wisdom, morality, and concentration expressed in peaceful, ethical, and dialogical social discourse, thus strengthening a harmonious collective identity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Buddhist spiritual leadership in the Indonesian Buddhayana Council (MBI) of Lampung Province. Spiritual leadership in Buddhist teachings emphasizes the values of compassion, wisdom, exemplary behavior, and selfless service. The research method employed a qualitative approach, phenomenology, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. This research was conducted with the leadership of the MBI of Lampung Province. The results indicate that leadership in the MBI of Lampung Province, through an understanding of Buddhayana values and humanistic Buddhism, maintains internal organizational harmony, increases congregation participation, and strengthens the socio-religious role. However, challenges arise in the form of limited in-depth understanding of spiritual values and administrative pressures that can shift the focus of leadership. In conclusion, Buddhist spiritual leadership in the MBI of Lampung Province is relevant for adaptation as an organizational management model that combines spiritual values and managerial effectiveness.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in patent systems has emerged as a complex area in intellectual property law. This systematic literature review follows PRISMA 2020 guidelines to analyze AI implementation in patent systems, particularly within the Indonesian context. The study examines 11 key studies published between 2015-2025 through systematic searches across multiple academic databases. Results demonstrate that AI implementation has achieved significant improvements in operational efficiency, particularly in automated patent classification, prior art searching, and examination support systems. Approximately 190,000 AI patents were granted globally between 2000-2022, reflecting increasing technological importance. In Indonesia, AI implementation must align with Law No. 13 of 2016 on Patents as amended by Law No. 65 of 2024. The landmark Thaler v. Vidal case confirms AI cannot be an "inventor" but can serve as an assistive tool with significant human contribution. Key challenges include AI decision-making transparency and knowledge gaps among patent examiners.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Personal Innovativeness in influencing the actual use of the MyTelkomsel application through an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In this model, Personal Innovativeness is positioned as a core construct that influences three key user perceptions: Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Enjoyment. A total of 355 respondents participated in the study, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that seven out of eight hypothesized paths between constructs in the model demonstrate statistically significant effects. The only non-significant relationship is found between Perceived Ease of Use and Attitude Toward Use, suggesting that ease of use is no longer a major determinant of user attitudes toward digital applications, possibly because it is now perceived as a basic standard in technology usage. Conversely, Personal Innovativeness consistently exerts a significant influence on all three key perceptions, which in turn affect users’ attitudes, intentions, and actual behaviors. These results underscore the strategic role of innovative personal characteristics in driving adoption and active engagement with digital applications. The practical implications highlight the importance of user segmentation based on innovation levels, the development of enjoyable features, and the refinement of user experience to promote sustained engagement within digital ecosystems such as MyTelkomsel.

Abstract

In Indonesia, dividing an inheritance can become particularly challenging when it involves a second wife and children from different marriages. One of the most sensitive issues is determining each child's rightful share, especially when the legal status of the second marriage is uncertain. This study uses a qualitative library research method, drawing from both primary legal texts and supporting literature to explore this issue. The findings, based on the study “Analysis of Inheritance Distribution for Children of a Second Wife According to Indonesian Inheritance Law”, show that Islamic inheritance law in Indonesia generally aims to provide a fair and balanced distribution through the principles of faraidh. As long as the second marriage is legally recognized, children from that union have the same inheritance rights as those from the first marriage. In practice, however, problems often occur when the second marriage hasn't been officially registered. This highlights the importance of legally documenting all marriages to protect the rights of every child and avoid future disputes among heirs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and academic resilience on decreasing the level of academic anxiety of students of the Master of Islamic Education Program at the Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University, Riau. Academic anxiety is a common psychological challenge experienced by postgraduate students. Religiosity and academic resilience are seen as protective factors that can help students manage academic stress in a healthier way. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The research sample consisted of 41 students from three semesters selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the independent sample t-test using SPSS version 25. The results showed that religiosity had a significant effect on academic anxiety with a significance value of 0.029, while academic resilience showed a stronger effect with a significance value of 0.000. Because the significance results of both variables are less than 0.05, the higher the religiosity and academic resilience of students, the lower their level of academic anxiety. This finding confirms that the integration of the values of religiosity and resilience is very important in supporting students' mental resilience. Strengthening religiosity and fostering academic resilience can be effective strategies to reduce academic anxiety in postgraduate higher education.
