Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Hajj and Umrah services in improving pilgrims’ satisfaction at PT NUR HAMDALAH PRIMA WISATA through a library research approach. Hajj and Umrah services are part of the religious service sector that require professional management because they are closely related to spiritual needs, comfort, and pilgrims’ trust. Increasing competition in the Hajj and Umrah travel industry requires companies to provide high-quality services in order to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method using library research. Data were collected through literature review from scientific journals, books, regulations, and previous studies relevant to service management, service quality, and pilgrims’ satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify and interpret service concepts based on the SERVQUAL theory, which includes tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy dimensions. The findings indicate that effective service management contributes to improving pilgrims’ satisfaction through adequate facilities, reliable services, responsive staff, assurance of safety and professionalism, and personalized attention to pilgrims’ needs. The implementation of these five dimensions of service quality can build trust, enhance loyalty, and strengthen the company’s image in the Hajj and Umrah travel industry. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of religious service management studies and serves as a conceptual reference for travel agencies in improving service quality for pilgrims.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between rapid population growth and the increasing unemployment rate in Banten Province, as well as to identify the main obstacles that exacerbate this problem and formulate comprehensive handling strategies. Using a library research method with a qualitative approach, this study examines various secondary data sources from BPS Banten, scientific journals, government policy reports, and related literature over the past decade. The results show that high birth rates and uncontrolled urbanization have created a labor force surplus that is unbalanced with the expansion of employment opportunities, compounded by the skills gap between educational graduates and the needs of modern industry, as well as socio-cultural barriers and weak policy governance. This study concludes that an integrated strategy encompassing demographic control, vocational education reform, economic diversification, strengthening institutional coordination, and socio-cultural transformation is urgently needed to transform demographic pressure into a productive demographic dividend for Banten.

Abstract

Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) has become the leading cause of chronic liver disease in middle-income countries, with advanced fibrosis serving as the strongest prognostic determinant, yet limited access to liver biopsy and elastography in primary care settings necessitates the use of non-invasive fibrosis scores such as the Fibrosis-4 Index (FIB-4) and NAFLD Fibrosis Score (NFS). This narrative review was conducted through systematic searches in PubMed and Scopus from January 2015 to December 2024, focusing on studies reporting diagnostic performance or implementation experiences of FIB-4 and NFS in Asia and middle-income countries. Results demonstrate that FIB-4 offers operational superiority with negative predictive values reaching 90 to 99.7% at low cutoffs while requiring only four routine laboratory parameters, and two-tier algorithms using FIB-4 reduce unnecessary referrals by 60 to 75% without increasing missed diagnosis risk. In the Indonesian context, where MASLD prevalence reaches 51.0% (highest in Asia) and the Prolanis infrastructure routinely collects laboratory data from hundreds of thousands of high-risk patients, the potential for national-scale implementation is substantial but hindered by limited healthcare worker knowledge, laboratory method variability across facilities, and fragmented referral systems. This review concludes that FIB-4 is the most feasible score for fibrosis screening in primary care, with implementation requiring local cutoff validation, digital integration through the SATUSEHAT platform, laboratory standardization, continuous training, and strengthened tiered referral systems to transform approaches from reactive to proactive in preventing cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have transformed the paradigm of accounting information systems and opened new areas for evolving fraud practices. This study investigates the relationship between fraud and accounting information systems through a systematic literature review of 10 journal articles published between 2023-2025. The study findings indicate that machine learning technologies, particularly ensemble learning and natural language processing, significantly contribute to detecting fraud in various accounting cycles. The revenue and receipts cycle and purchases and payables cycle are the most frequently exploited areas, while manipulation of journal entries through the general ledger is the most difficult form of fraud to detect. The digital competence and data science literacy of accounting personnel are proven to play an important role in detection effectiveness, with diagnostic skills serving as the main mediator, represents the most difficult form of fraud to detect. Digital competency and data science literacy of accounting personnel prove to be crucial factors in fraud detection effectiveness, with diagnostic skills serving as key mediators. The norms of segregation of duties and audit trails are also necessary in an increasingly digital environment, but they require modification to adapt to a computerized competitive environment that requires unique procedures compared to the manual era of the past. This study proposes five hypotheses, conducts further empirical research, and offers practical recommendations for decision-makers on enforcing preventive and detective strategies against fraudulent activities.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media over the past two decades has fundamentally changed the way humans interact, shape identity, and perceive themselves. This literature study aims to identify, analyze, and synthesize findings from various studies regarding the impact of social media use on individuals' psychological health, integrating them into an established psychological theory framework. The method used was a systematic review of 45 scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025. The results of the study indicate that the impact of social media on individual psychology can be understood through three main frameworks: Festinger's Social Comparison Theory, Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory, and Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory A significant relationship has consistently been found between excessive social media use and increased symptoms of depression, social anxiety, and sleep disorders, especially among adolescents and young adults. The implications of this study include the need for psychology-based digital literacy as well as more ethical and human-centered platform design.

Abstract

The Constitutional Court Decisions Number 137/PUU-XIII/2015 and 138/PUU-XIII/2015 have fundamentally transformed the mechanism for evaluating and annulling Regional Regulations (Perda) in Indonesia. Prior to these decisions, the Central Government—through the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Governor as the Central Government's representative—held broad executive authority to annul Regional Regulations deemed contrary to higher regulations or public interest. Following the Constitutional Court rulings, this annulment authority was exclusively transferred to the Supreme Court through the judicial review mechanism. This study examines the juridical implications of this shift in authority on the decentralization system, central-regional relationships, and the effectiveness of Perda oversight. The research employs normative juridical methods with statutory, conceptual, and case-study approaches. The findings indicate that while the Constitutional Court decisions strengthen the principles of regional autonomy and legal certainty, this transition creates an oversight vacuum that may allow problematic regional regulations to remain in force longer. Comprehensive regulatory reform is required to address this legal gap while maintaining the balance between regional autonomy and national legal supremacy.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of the exploitation of vulnerable communities on digital platforms, specifically the practice of "online begging" on TikTok, through the reactualization of the Hadith Qudsi on the prohibition of injustice (dhulm). In the midst of rapid digitalization, human suffering is frequently commodified into profane entertainment content, signaling a moral crisis in cyber-space. This research aims to dissect this phenomenon not merely as a common ethical violation, but as a form of systemic injustice that disrupts the social order. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, this study integrates three scholarly perspectives: Émile Durkheim’s sociology to observe the decay of social solidarity, John Rawls’s philosophy to criticize the disparity of justice (fairness), and Imam al-Shatibi’s Maqāṣid al-Syarī‘ah to evaluate the violation of the hierarchy of human welfare. The results indicate that digital exploitation is a form of injustice that prioritizes the acquisition of wealth over the protection of life and human dignity (Hifz al-Nafs). This research concludes that the Hadith on the prohibition of injustice must be transformed from a mere normative text into a practical guide to reconstruct the character of digital citizens to be more humane, just, and compliant with the priority scale of public interest over individual materialistic ambitions.

Abstract

Traditional positivist frameworks in educational and social research often over-rely on pre-existing grand theories, resulting in the reduction and "dehumanization" of unique social contexts. Grounded Theory emerges as a rigorous inductive-abductive methodology to construct systematic theories directly rooted in empirical field data. This study aims to analyze the fundamental concepts, philosophical origins (symbolic interactionism), and methodological procedures of Grounded Theory, and to formulate its operational steps within educational research contexts. Operating as a qualitative-descriptive inquiry, this library research critically analyzes primary literature from Glaser, Strauss, Corbin, and Charmaz, utilizing content analysis and comparative triangulation to map out its systematic coding processes. The findings demonstrate that Grounded Theory is a comprehensive research design—rather than a mere data analysis technique—guided by key principles: theoretical sensitivity, theoretical sampling, the constant comparative method, structured coding (open, axial, and selective), memo writing, and theoretical saturation. A rigorous operational simulation of coding regarding facility provisioning for educational needs assessments is provided to illustrate its practical mechanics. The study concludes that Grounded Theory effectively bridges the gap between abstract grand theories and empirical reality, offering a robust, scientifically rigorous, and contextually responsive pathway to develop localized educational theories that are highly relevant to contemporary Indonesian and Islamic education management.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the usability and user satisfaction of the STIKES YRSDS Learning Management System (LMS) using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The study involved 46 student respondents, consisting of 25 females and 21 males. Based on academic programs, 15 respondents were enrolled in the Diploma Program in Medical Record and Health Information (RMIK), while 31 respondents were from the Bachelor Program in Hospital Administration (ARS). Regarding academic level, the respondents included 17 second-semester students, 22 fourth-semester students, and 7 sixth-semester students. Data were collected using the SUS questionnaire, which consists of 10 statements rated on a five-point Likert scale ranging from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree.” The analysis revealed that the statement receiving the highest proportion of “strongly agree” responses was related to the need for users to become familiar with the system before using the LMS. This finding indicates that users still require an adaptation period and initial orientation to understand the system interface and workflow effectively. Based on the SUS calculation, the STIKES YRSDS LMS achieved an average score of 64.6. This score falls within the Marginal (High) acceptability category, with a Grade Scale D and an Adjective Rating of “OK.” These results suggest that the system is reasonably usable but remains below the average SUS benchmark considered desirable for optimal usability. The findings indicate that the STIKES YRSDS LMS has met users’ basic needs; however, improvements are still necessary to enhance the overall user experience. Recommended improvements include simplifying system navigation, increasing ease of use, and providing user guides or tutorials for new users. These enhancements are expected to improve user satisfaction and promote more effective utilization of the LMS.
