Abstract

This study examines the use of narcotics in the medical field from the perspective of Indonesian positive law and Islamic law. Narcotics have the potential to cause dependence and abuse, but they also have therapeutic benefits such as reducing pain and assisting in the anesthesia process. In Indonesian positive law, regulations regarding narcotics are contained in Law Number 35 of 2009, which allows their use for medical and research purposes under government supervision. Meanwhile, in Islamic law, narcotics are classified as intoxicating substances that are forbidden to use, except in emergency conditions when no other halal drugs are available. This study uses a normative juridical method with a literature study approach through a literature review of legislation, legal literature, the Qur'an, and Hadith. The results of the study show that both legal systems have similar views, namely allowing the limited use of narcotics for humanitarian purposes with strict supervision and legal responsibility.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Starbo-AFE addition on the nutrient quality of compost made from cow feces, gamal leaves, oil palm fronds, sawdust, and rice bran. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of: P0 = 50% cow feces + 20% gamal + 23% oil palm fronds + 5% sawdust + 2% bran, P1 = 50% cow feces + 20% gamal + 23% oil palm fronds + 5% sawdust + 2% bran + 2% Starbo-AFE, P2 = 50% cow feces + 20% gamal + 23% oil palm fronds + 5% sawdust + 2% bran + 4% Starbo-AFE, P3 = 50% cow feces + 20% gamal + 23% oil palm fronds + 5% sawdust + 2% bran + 6% Starbo-AFE. The parameters observed in this study were the physical form of the compost (odor, color, and texture), temperature, and the nutrients of the compost produced (C, N, and C/N ratio). The results of the study showed that the physical form of the compost was in the good category, producing a blackish brown color, an earthy compost odor, and crumbly textured compost in each treatment (P0, P1, P2, and P3). The average temperature of the composting process in all treatments was 32.30C. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the addition of Starbo-AFE had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the carbon content (29.1%), nitrogen (3.44%), and C/N ratio of the compost (8.55%). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the addition of Starbo AFE in making compost from cow feces, gamal, oil palm fronds, sawdust, and bran from all treatments produces compost with relatively uniform compost quality and meets the compost quality standards set by SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) by PT Nusantara TV in measuring the quality of broadcast services and its contribution to audience loyalty. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data obtained through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents in Jakarta. The results show that the Customer Satisfaction Index, which consists of customer expectations, performance perception, and overall satisfaction indicators, has a significant positive relationship with audience loyalty. This finding indicates that systematic satisfaction measurement can serve as a strategic tool to maintain and enhance audience loyalty amid digital media competition. This study recommends improving program quality, interactivity, and data-driven approaches to address the needs of young audiences.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify and analyze the overall and sectoral economic conditions, and (2) identify and analyze the competitiveness of economic sectors in Jambi City during 2019–2023. The research employs secondary data with descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. The descriptive analysis using the growth formula shows that (1) the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Jambi City grew by 2.38%, reflecting post-pandemic recovery. Investment increased by 77.77%, and direct government expenditure increased by 14.86%, indicating stronger investment attractiveness and government efforts to support development and economic competitiveness. Based on the quantitative analysis using the Esteban-Marquillas Shift-Share method, (2) six leading sectors were identified: Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles, Accommodation and Food Service Activities, Information and Communication, Financial and Insurance Activities, Business Services, and Human Health and Social Work Activities, which were also found to be specialized and competitive sectors.

Abstract

This study examines legal protection for tenants in lease agreements of land and shop buildings whose leased objects were auctioned based on Court Decision Number 70/Pdt.G/2024/PN.Jambi. The research focuses on how tenants’ rights are protected when the leased property is auctioned and the legal consequences of mortgage execution for tenants. Using a normative juridical method with statutory, case law, and conceptual approaches, the findings reveal that although ownership of the leased object changes through auction, the lease agreement remains valid until its expiration. Tenants acting in good faith retain the right to use the property according to the lease terms. The court’s decision thus affirms substantive legal protection and ensures legal certainty for tenants amidst ownership disputes. The study concludes by recommending clearer regulations and legal mechanisms to safeguard tenants’ rights during mortgage executions and calls for greater legal awareness among creditors and business actors to prevent future conflicts.

Abstract

In 2016, more than 1.9 billion people worldwide aged 18 and older had obesity problems, with 39% of them being men and 40% being women who were overweight, according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO). Of this total, 11% of men and 15% of women were identified as obese, meaning that approximately 650 million people suffer from severe obesity. Social media platforms serve as communication tools with a wide reach and significant influence on individual thought patterns and actions. Therefore, it is crucial to study the role of social media in conveying messages related to sports and health to the public. This study was conducted at Fit And Flex Gym in Bekasi to Understanding how members perceive content related to weightlifting and weight loss. Using the Social Construction of Reality Theory, it is explained that perception is shaped through social processes involving interaction and public communication, which include elements of externalization, objectification, and internalization. Using qualitative descriptive research methods, including in-depth interviews, documentation, and direct observation of four informants with diverse backgrounds, the results of this study confirm that the role of social media, particularly TikTok, in relation to weightlifting has shaped positive perceptions toward social media content about weightlifting and weight loss.

Abstract

This study investigates the communication strategies employed by Posyandu Makarti health workers to increase the participation of mothers with toddlers in Posyandu activities  The research is motivated by the observed low attendance and involvement of mothers, which impacts child growth monitoring and preventive healthcare efforts. Utilizing a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews with Posyandu staff and mothers, and documentation. The findings reveal that Posyandu Makarti personnel implement various communication strategies, including persuasive interpersonal communication, a familial approach, the use of social media (WhatsApp), and direct information dissemination via local community figures . These strategies have proven effective in fostering closer community relationships, raising maternal awareness of the importance of Posyandu services, and encouraging consistent attendance. Challenges identified include limited human resources, some mothers' lack of understanding regarding Posyandu benefits, and economic and time constraints . The study concludes that appropriate and consistent communication strategies play a vital role in increasing the participation of mothers with toddlers in Posyandu programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital communication strategy implemented by the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) in combating online gambling practices in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative method, collecting data through in-depth interviews with key and supporting informants, as well as observation of Komdigi’s official communication channels. The findings reveal that Komdigi adopts two main approaches: proactive and reactive strategies. The proactive strategy includes performance publication, special events, cross-sector collaboration, and media agenda setting. Meanwhile, the reactive strategy covers digital law enforcement, empathetic engagement with victims, and investigation of public reports. The study also finds that the #JudiPastiRugi campaign serves as a key implementation, involving cooperation with digital companies, state institutions, law enforcement agencies, NGOs, and community groups. Supporting factors for the strategy include leadership commitment, technological resources, and collaborative networks. However, challenges include content approval bureaucracy, the rapid re-emergence of gambling domains, and public perceptions of enforcement effectiveness. Observations indicate that Komdigi’s digital communication strategy is relatively effective in raising public awareness, although innovation is needed to maintain message relevance and expand campaign reach in the future.

Abstract

The growth of information technology has driven the widespread use of online shopping applications, including Alfagift, the official app of Alfamart. User reviews of this application on the Google Play Store reflect their perceptions and satisfaction, which, when analyzed correctly, can provide important insights for app developers. This study aims to classify the sentiment of user reviews on the Alfagift app using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method optimized by the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. SVM is a widely used algorithm due to its accuracy in classification. To achieve optimal performance, SVM parameters need to be carefully tuned, and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used as an effective method for this optimization. The data used in this study were obtained from Google Play Store through web scraping using the google-play-scraper library. The initial classification result using SVM without optimization produced an accuracy of 87.25%. After parameter optimization using the PSO algorithm, the accuracy increased to 90.41%. These findings show that the use of PSO significantly improves the performance of sentiment classification models for user reviews. Therefore, the combination of SVM and PSO methods is effective for analyzing user sentiment in the Alfagift app for evaluation and future development purposes.

Abstract

The 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election marked one of the most dynamic moments in the nation’s democratic history, showcasing a transformation in political communication strategies and candidate personal branding. The Prabowo Subianto–Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair won the election in a single round with 58.6% of the national vote, including a significant 46.83% in South Tangerang City. This study aims to analyze the campaign strategy behind Prabowo–Gibran’s victory in South Tangerang, focusing on political communication approaches, social media utilization, and the creation of the “Prabowo Gemoy” image. The research applies a descriptive qualitative method, using in-depth interviews, documentation, and data triangulation from key informants, including local campaign teams, academics, voters, and the regional election commission (KPU). The findings reveal three major factors contributing to the victory: massive social media engagement to broaden political outreach, the “Gemoy” image that strengthened Prabowo’s humanistic and populist persona, and the effective mobilization of coalition party machinery at the regional level. These elements successfully connected with young voters and enhanced electability in urban areas. This study concludes that the integration of digital, narrative, and structural strategies represents an effective model for modern political campaigns in Indonesia’s local political context.
