Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work motivation, compensation, and job satisfaction on employee performance at Jawa Pos Radar Kediri. The research was designed using a quantitative descriptive approach to measure the relationships between independent and dependent variables through statistical analysis. Data were collected from all 47 employees using a structured questionnaire based on a Likert four-point scale, supported by observation and documentation to ensure data validity. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression through IBM SPSS 26, including classical assumption tests to verify reliability and normality. The findings indicate that work motivation, compensation, and job satisfaction simultaneously have a positive effect on employee performance. However, compensation has the most dominant influence, suggesting that fair and transparent remuneration significantly improves employees’ responsibility and productivity. Meanwhile, work motivation and job satisfaction show positive but partial and nonsignificant effects, implying that psychological and environmental factors still need to be strengthened to optimize performance outcomes. The novelty of this research lies in its empirical validation of human resource factors within the media industry, emphasizing that balanced motivational and reward systems can enhance both individual and organizational performance. These findings contribute to the field of human resource management and serve as a valuable reference for future research in organizational behavior and workplace productivity improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality, facilities, and products on customer satisfaction at Esspecto Coffee, Flamboyan Street, Manado. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The population consisted of all Esspecto Coffee customers, and a sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, along with validity, reliability, t-test, and F-test analyses. The results reveal that service quality, facilities, and products have a positive and significant influence, both partially and simultaneously, on customer satisfaction. These findings confirm that the better the quality of service, the more adequate the facilities, and the more consistent the product quality, the higher the level of customer satisfaction. The practical implication of this study is thatEsspecto Coffee management should continuously improve these three aspects to strengthen customer loyalty and maintain competitive advantage amid the growing coffee shop industry in Manado.

Abstract

Work motivation and work discipline are believed to have a positive and significant impact on the achievement of institutional goals. Optimal employee performance is the result of a balance between these two factors. This study aims to test simultaneously and partially the influence of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive influence of both independent variables on the performance of employees of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Finance in Central Jakarta. The research method used a quantitative approach with a sample of 48 employees, consisting of 52% civil servants/state civil servants/public service contract employees and 48% temporary employees/interns. Data were collected through questionnaires and analysed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 25. The regression analysis results showed that work motivation and work discipline together (simultaneously) had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated F-value (17.140) exceeding the table F-value (2). Partially, work motivation had a positive and significant effect on performance (calculated T of 2.057 > table T of 1.679). Conversely, despite having a positive direction, work discipline partially did not show a significant effect (calculated T of 1.533 < table T of 1.679). These findings imply that for employees of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Finance in Central Jakarta, the motivation factor plays a more dominant and statistically significant role in improving performance compared to work discipline as an individual factor.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) technology as an information medium for facilities and infrastructure at SDN 095212 N. Bayu, Negeri Bayu Muslimin, Tapian Dolok District, Simalungun Regency. So far, the delivery of information about school facilities has been done conventionally, which makes it less interactive and unable to capture the attention of users, especially students and the community. By utilizing AR, information about the facilities and infrastructure can be presented in a more attractive and easily understandable form. The methods used in this study include the stages of needs analysis, system design, development of a mobile-based AR application, and functionality testing of the application. This AR application works by utilizing a marker in the form of a QR code placed on the school map. When scanned with a smartphone camera, it displays information in the form of text, images, or videos related to a room or school facility. The results of the study show that the implementation of AR technology can improve the effectiveness of information delivery, provide an interactive experience for users, and support innovation in the use of digital technology n elementary school environments. Therefore, this application can become an alternative, educational, and engaging information medium that supports the school’s efforts in promoting its facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This research focuses on the application of decision tree methods for identifying the risk of stroke among young adults. Stroke is a significant health concern globally, often leading to long-term disability or death. Identifying individuals at high risk can help in early intervention and prevention strategies. We employed a decision tree algorithm to analyze various risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, smoking habits, and physical inactivity. The data was collected from a healthcare database, consisting of young adults aged 18 to 40 years. Our results demonstrate that the decision tree model is effective in classifying individuals with a high risk of stroke, with an accuracy rate of 67,71%. This study suggests that decision tree algorithms can be a valuable tool in clinical settings for early identification and management of stroke risk in young adults. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Wadiah Yad Dhamanah contract on the Hajj Savings product at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Kuningan A. Yani, based on PSAK 101 on the Presentation of Islamic Financial Statements. This research employs a descriptive approach using observation and interviews conducted during fieldwork. In practice, the author was directly involved in assisting prospective hajj pilgrims, particularly in the process of opening hajj savings accounts, completing registration forms, and handling the initial deposit for the Hajj Administration Cost (Biaya Penyelenggaraan Ibadah Haji or BPIH). The findings show that the implementation of the Wadiah Yad Dhamanah contract in BSI’s Hajj Savings product is in accordance with sharia principles and PSAK 101 recognition standards, where customers’ funds are recorded as deposits (liabilities) and not subject to profit-sharing. However, the bank may provide a voluntary bonus (hibah) as a token of appreciation for customer trust.

Abstract

Land as a limited resource has multifunctional roles that create complexity in Indonesia's land law system, particularly regarding the validity of Property Sale and Purchase Deeds (AJB). This research aims to analyze the validity of AJB created by PPAT and identify legal protection mechanisms for land rights holders based on Decision Number 5/Pdt.G/2023/PN.Btl. The research method uses a normative juridical approach type with descriptive-analytical characteristics, utilizing secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively using deductive methods. The results show that AJB created by PPAT Agustinus Janarko Sigit Prasetio and Ratnawati contains legal defects due to non-compliance with cash, transparent, and real principles, as well as defective consent involving fraud and abuse of circumstances. The court provided repressive legal protection by canceling the deed and returning ownership rights to the original owner. The research concludes the importance of applying prudential principles in deed creation and the need to strengthen supervision systems to prevent harmful practices in land transactions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the limits of sanctions and future legal policies regarding the provision of sanctions that can be given to students according to Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. The formulation of the problems in this study are 1). How is the regulation of the limits of sanctions in Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers that can be given to student? and 2). How is the future legal policy regarding the provision of sanctions to students.? This research uses a normative juridical research method with a statute approach, case approach, and conceptual approach. The results of this study state that 1). Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers has not explicitly regulated the types, forms, and limits of sanctions that can be given to students, thus causing normative vagueness and concerns of a teacher in exercising his professional rights. 2).For this reason, future legal policies need to be directed at updating regulations that formulate the types of legal sanctions, fair and transparent sanctioning procedures, and legal protection for teachers so that they are not easily criminalized. Sanctions must be educative, humane, and proportional, with a conflict resolution mechanism through mediation before taking legal action. Thus, it is expected to create a balance of protection between children's rights and teachers' authority, so that the goals of national education can be realized in a fair, dignified and effective manner.

Abstract

Di era digital, kebutuhan akan efisiensi penyimpanan dan transfer data menjadi semakin penting, khususnya untuk file berukuran besar seperti PDF. Penelitian ini membahas implementasi algoritma Arithmetic Coding pada aplikasi kompresi file PDF sebagai solusi untuk mengurangi ukuran file tanpa mengurangi kualitas konten. Arithmetic Coding merupakan metode kompresi data lossless yang bekerja dengan memetakan rangkaian simbol menjadi sebuah bilangan pecahan dalam interval [0,1), kemudian dikonversi ke bentuk biner. Algoritma ini dikenal efisien karena mampu memberikan rasio kompresi yang tinggi, terutama pada data dengan tingkat redundansi yang besar. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan dirancang untuk memproses file PDF, mengekstraksi konten teks, kemudian mengompresinya menggunakan Arithmetic Coding. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi algoritma ini dapat mengurangi ukuran file PDF dengan tingkat efektivitas yang bervariasi, tergantung pada karakteristik dan kompleksitas data dalam dokumen. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini dapat membantu pengguna dalam mengelola file PDF, khususnya pada kondisi dengan keterbatasan bandwidth atau kapasitas penyimpanan.

Abstract

The popular culture of South Korea, widely known as K-Pop, has become a global phenomenon with a significant influence across various countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze and understand the impact of K-Pop culture on the communication styles of Indonesian adolescents in Jakarta, particularly those categorized as Generation Z. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with active K-Pop fans, participatory observation, and documentation from social media and fan communities. The results indicate that K-Pop culture influences the communication style of teenagers in several aspects, including the use of Korean phrases and fandom-specific terms in daily conversations, changes in nonverbal communication styles such as expressions and body gestures, and increased digital interaction through social media. K-Pop culture also shapes social and group identity among teenagers, where they adapt their communication patterns based on the norms of the fan culture they are involved in. On the positive side, this cultural influence encourages youth to be more open to global cultures, enhances their interest in learning foreign languages, and broadens their social networks in the digital space. In conclusion, K-Pop culture has brought complex influences on the communication styles of Generation Z in Jakarta. These influences are not only linguistic but also social, cultural, and psychological. Therefore, it is important for parents, educators, and policymakers to understand this dynamic in order to provide appropriate guidance in responding to the presence of global cultural trends.
