Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of competency development and empowering leadership on subjective career success with self-efficacy as a mediating variable among employees of the West Sumatra Employment Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with a sample of 117 patients. The analysis used is PLS-SEM analysis with Smart-PLS 4.0. The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant effect between Competency Development and Empowering Leadership on Subjective Career Success with Self-Efficacy as a Mediating Variable in Employees of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan West Sumatra, meaning that leaders who provide empowerment (delegation, trust, and autonomy) are proven to encourage employees to feel more successful in their subjective careers. The mediating role of self-efficacy can enhance Competency Development and empowering leadership styles not only directly influence but also increase employees' self-efficacy. This high level of self-confidence (mediation) acts as a bridge that strengthens the impact of Competency Development and empowering leadership on subjective career success.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of per capita income, average years of schooling, and poverty rate on life expectancy in the regencies and cities of Jambi Province. The study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and applies panel data regression analysis covering 11 regencies/cities during the period 2010–2023. The results show that per capita income and average years of schooling have a positive effect on life expectancy, while the poverty rate has a negative effect on life expectancy. These findings indicate that improvements in economic welfare and education can enhance the quality of life and increase life expectancy, whereas higher levels of poverty may reduce the overall health condition of the population. Therefore, development policies that focus on increasing income, expanding equal access to education, and reducing poverty are needed to improve life expectancy in Jambi Province.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in the elderly is a significant public health issue due to the risk of complications and decreased quality of life resulting from physiological changes and inappropriate nutritional intake. In the Mojosari Community Health Center area, the level of understanding and compliance of the elderly toward medical nutrition therapy is often still low. Objective: This activity aimed to increase the knowledge, awareness, and ability of the elderly and their families to manage DM nutritional diets independently and sustainably. Methods: The counseling was conducted on February 13, 2026, at the Mojosari Community Health Center, involving 25 participants (elderly and caregivers). The intervention method utilized face-to-face education, audio-visual presentations, and the distribution of leaflets focusing on the 3J diet principles (Schedule, Amount, Type). Evaluation was performed using pre-test and post-test instruments. Results: There was a significant increase in knowledge, marked by a rise in the average score from 57 to 88. Furthermore, the number of participants in the "Good" knowledge category increased from 16% to 80% following the intervention. Conclusion: This counseling activity was effective in improving participants' health literacy regarding DM diet management and complication prevention in the geriatric population.

Abstract

Unemployment remains a major issue in economic development in many countries, including Indonesia. One important indicator used to describe labor market conditions and the economy's ability to absorb the labor force is the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR). This study aims to analyze the development of the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in West Java Province during the period of 2014-2024 and to examine West Java Province's position compared to the national labor market. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data obtained from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). The analysis shows that the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in West Java Province fluctuated during the study period. In 2020, a significant increase occurred due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) reaching 10,46%. This condition indicates that labor market dynamics are influenced by several factors, such as economic growth, the size of the labor force, employment opportunities, and the availability of jobs. Therefore, the analysis of the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) is crucial as a basis for formulating effective and targeted employment policies to reduce unemployment and increase employment opportunities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) in companies classified under the Indonesian Top 50 Publicly Listed Companies (PLCs) during the 2019–2023 period. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through content analysis of annual reports and ACGS score documents from 14 sample companies, this research identifies implementation patterns, score change trends, and variations in governance quality across industrial sectors. The findings reveal that ACGS scores of sample companies generally exhibited an increasing trend from an average of 94.96 points, with Responsibilities of the Board and Disclosure and Transparency being the highest-achieving components, while Rights of Shareholders and Role of Stakeholders still showed significant room for improvement. The banking sector dominated the highest score achievements, while the infrastructure and mining sectors showed greater variation. This study also reveals a gap between high ACGS scores and the actual financial condition of companies, indicating that ACGS implementation remains symbolic-administrative in some companies. These findings provide important implications for regulators, investors, and corporate management in promoting more substantive governance implementation.

Abstract

The enactment of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health marks a major transformation in Indonesia's medical regulation, particularly regarding the reconstruction of professional organizations' authority and legal protection mechanisms for medical personnel. The dynamics of the legal relationship between doctors and patients often trigger complex medical disputes, necessitating clarity on the boundaries of professional responsibility and effective resolution channels. Methods: This research utilizes a normative legal research method with a statutory approach and literature review. Secondary data were analyzed qualitatively to evaluate the impact of the new regulation on medical practice and professional legal protection. Results: Findings indicate that the legal relationship in healthcare services is contractual, where medical failure is more accurately viewed as a breach of contract regarding standard operating procedures rather than a criminal offense. Although the 2023 Health Law attempts to integrate the system, synchronization of derivative regulations is still required to prevent the criminalization of doctors. Dispute resolution through professional channels (MKDKI) is considered more effective in maintaining confidentiality and ethics, yet synergy with litigation channels remains necessary to ensure fair compensation for patients without neglecting protection for doctors.

Abstract

The Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) is an important indicator in measuring regional labor market conditions. This study aims to analyze the development of the Open Unemployment Rate in Central Java Province during the period 2016–2025 and to identify the factors influencing its changes. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with trend analysis based on secondary data. The results indicate that the unemployment rate in Central Java was relatively stable from 2016 to 2019, increased significantly in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and gradually declined from 2021 to 2025. This decline reflects economic recovery and the improvement of labor absorption in various sectors. The study concludes that economic stability, government policies, and industrial development play significant roles in reducing unemployment at the regional level.

Abstract

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Riau Province exhibited fluctuating dynamics during the 2016–2025 period. This study evaluates the influence of the region's commodity-based economic structure on labor absorption. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the study found that Riau has high labor elasticity in the manufacturing sector. Despite being impacted by the global crisis in 2020, Riau's recovery has been one of the fastest in the Sumatra region, with the TPT reaching a low of 3.7% in 2024.

Abstract

This study examines the conceptual and empirical relationship between the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale–Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV) and executive function within a contemporary neurocognitive framework. A qualitative descriptive literature review was conducted by systematically collecting and synthesizing peer-reviewed studies published between 2021 and 2026. Literature was identified through Google Scholar and Taylor & Francis Online using keywords related to WAIS-IV, executive function, working memory, and cognitive control. Selected articles were analyzed using narrative synthesis to identify consistent patterns linking WAIS-IV indices to executive function components. The findings indicate that the Working Memory Index (WMI) represents the most consistent operational link between intelligence and executive control, particularly in attentional regulation and information manipulation. However, executive functioning in real-life contexts involves broader regulatory mechanisms that extend beyond structured intelligence testing conditions. The novelty of this review lies in positioning working memory as a partial mediator while clarifying the conceptual distinction between global IQ scores and adaptive executive regulation. The study highlights the importance of integrating executive function assessment into educational and clinical decision-making processes to avoid overreliance on Full Scale IQ scores.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of travel vlogs as video-based electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on destination image, attitude toward destination, and tourist satisfaction in influencing revisit intention at Lembang Park & Zoo. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to respondents who have watched travel vlogs related to Lembang Park and Zoo. This study employed a quantitative method using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SPSS and AMOS for data analysis. The results show that travel vlogs have a positive and significant effect on destination image, attitude toward destination, and tourist satisfaction, and these variables also have a positive and significant effect on revisit intention. These findings indicate that travel vlogs not only function as a source of information, but also shape tourists’ perceptions, attitudes, and evaluations, which in turn encourage revisit intention. Practically, destination managers should ensure that the quality of the tourist experience is consistent with how it is represented in travel vlogs.
