Abstract

Kata kunci: Syariat Islam, ekonomi AbstractHistorically Islam does have a large stock in the formation of this country. But where to go and the direction of state policy system, it is not always determined by the majority shareholder. Nor is it determined by the religion of the majority population. And certainly not the kind of country that we call capitalist or non-capitalist countries. All economic policy in our country, or maybe even in all over the country are determined by 'the man behind the gun', that is, those who are ruled today.  Easy terms, determined by manajer.  Including in matters of economic policy, all determined by officials and not by the past history now almost been forgotten. Who served in economics, monenter, banking, and the like, then they are the ones who determine the direction of economic  policy of this country. In the era of the New Order ruler, Suharto said that the economy of our country is the economic ideology. Then the Pancasila economy what and how? The answer back to the subjective policy officials of the ruling at the time, of course, under the will of Suharto. Keywords: Islamic Shari'a,  economics

However, in its scope, Islamic law in Indonesia in this case the sharia economy is subject to the national economic system, although in Indonesia itself the sharia economic system and conventional economics in Indonesia have their own legal umbrella. So that the Islamic economic system in Indonesia until now is an alternative concept for a prosperous economic system in Indonesia, one of which is a capitalist economic system. Another implication related to the western response to the Islamic economy in Indonesia is the presence of a diversity of halal food. However, the development of this potential needs to make the resulting production must be based on the principles of benefit and justice, where this benefit is carried out by prioritizing sharia economics as a real need where justice is very meaningful in the economy, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of halal certification for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Padangsidimpuan City, focusing on the impacts, challenges, and government support in the certification process. Halal certification has excellent potential to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in the domestic and international markets, considering that most of the residents of Padangsidimpuan City are Muslims. The results of the study show that halal certification has a positive impact on increasing sales, consumer confidence, and market expansion. However, MSMEs face several significant obstacles, such as high certification costs, the complexity of procedures, and the need to understand the importance of halal certification. Through training, socialisation, and subsidies for certification fees, government support has made a positive contribution but still needs improvement. This research provides policy recommendations to overcome these obstacles, including increasing subsidies, digitising the certification process, and public awareness campaigns about the importance of halal products. Overall, this study reveals halal certification’s great potential in encouraging halal-based MSMEs’ growth in Padangsidimpuan City. Still, a better-supporting mechanism is required so that more MSMEs can exploit halal market opportunities.
