Abstract

Education will not be separated from technological developments which are utilized in developing learning media for children. Tutorial videos have an important role in supporting the learning process in class. Teachers predominantly use whiteboard media so that students find it difficult to understand the material presented because the learning process is still teacher cantered. The need for appropriate learning media such as video tutorials makes the learning process student cantered. The research aims to develop valid and practical video tutorial learning media. The research method is R&D (Research and Development) by Borg and Gall this model stage was modified into 5 steps, namely initial product development planning, product validation, limited trials and final product. The material validity results were 4.53 in the "Very Valid" category. The validity of media 1 and 2 received a value of 4.83 and 4.60 in the "Very Valid" category. The results of the practicality test by 15 students obtained a score of 4.79 in the "Very Practical" category. Video tutorials can be used by students and teachers during the learning process in class.

Abstract

The learning process results in students not actively participating in the learning process and students' creativity not developing because the learning process is still oriented teacher center or teacher centered. Teachers have not fully utilized existing teaching media, including multimedia, so that learning is not interesting and enjoyable for students. This research aims to develop interactive multimedia products as valid and practical alternative learning media so that they are ready to be used in the learning process. This research is development research using the Borg & Gall model which consists of stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Initial Product Development, (3) Product Validation, (4) Trial and (5) Product. The research subjects consisted of four respondents, two validators for media aspects and two validators for material aspects as well as 20 students at State Junior High School 1 Lubuk Basung in Natural Sciences subjects as a test of media practicality. The product validity test results for the material aspect are in the very good category with a percentage of 95% and for the media aspect they are in the very good category with a percentage of 94.88%. The results of the product practicality test based on the 2 stages of testing that have been carried out are in the very good category with a percentage of 92.4%. The results of this research show that the overall quality of the interactive multimedia developed is in the very good category with a percentage of 94.1%. From the results of all stages of interactive multimedia development using Macromedia Director declared suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Learning mathematics has criteria that not everyone can easily understand. Mathematical formulas that some people find difficult to understand make students bored while studying. Suitable learning media such as animation and pictures will make the process more enjoyable. This research aims to determine the practicality of mathematics learning media created using the PowToon application for class XI Clothing students at SMK Negeri 6 Padang. This research will reveal the level of practicality of using learning media using the PowToon application from both teachers and students after using this learning media in the learning process. The learning media that has been developed and the questionnaire sheets have previously been validated by validators. Based on the research results, it shows that the learning media that has been developed is practical as seen from the practicality test results obtained from teacher responses and student responses. The practicality test results obtained were 81.73% for teacher responses and 77.03% for student responses. From the practical results that have been carried out, the learning media is in the practical category, so it is suitable for use in the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide an understanding of the application of digital media in creating and documenting official letters carried out at SMPN Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on observations, it is known that the structure and language used in official letters are still not in accordance with Indonesian language rules. Apart from that, it was also found that the preparation and storage of archives within the school was still inadequate. School archives or documents are arranged in cabinets, so it takes a long time to find them, and they are not well maintained due to improper arrangement and storage. Therefore, an activity is needed to correct errors in writing official letters and documenting existing school archives. Based on this explanation, it is necessary to carry out training activities regarding the creation and documentation of digital-based official letters using the Arteri application at State Middle Schools in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra. The research results show that in letter writing activities, it is important to know the structure and language of the letter so that it becomes easier to write a good and correct letter. Apart from that, documenting letters is important because it refers to the current digital era, so other roles are needed for changing times. By utilizing technology that will make the documentation process easier.

Abstract

The EdTech industry is undergoing a significant transformation due to the rapid advancement of technology and the emergence of innovative companies. This research discourse examines the strategies employed by EdTech companies, such as personalized learning, data analytics, gamification, and AI integration, which are reshaping the educational experience across various levels of learning. The study highlights the impact of these strategies on educational outcomes, accessibility, and engagement among diverse learner populations. However, the research also identifies critical gaps in existing literature, such as the long-term efficacy of EdTech solutions, the digital divide, and ethical considerations surrounding data privacy and security in educational settings. Future research directions can emphasize the need for a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating insights from educational psychology, sociology, and technology studies. This discourse serves as a foundation for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to navigate the evolving EdTech landscape and leverage technology to benefit all learners
