Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of fatherlessness on the religious and moral development of children in Gampong Tanjung Deah. The research method involved surveys and interviews with affected parents and children. The results indicate that fatherlessness significantly affects the religious and moral development of children in the area. Children growing up without fathers tend to struggle in acquiring strong religious understanding and moral values. The discussion encompasses factors influencing these impacts, such as social support, economic factors, and education. The conclusion highlights the importance of the father's role in shaping the religious and moral foundation of children, emphasizing the need for community support and policies to assist affected families. Without the presence of a father, children tend to lack a crucial figure in acquiring a strong understanding of religion and morals. Factors such as social support, especially from family and the community, can play a significant role in helping children overcome these difficulties. Additionally, economic aspects also influence this, as a lack of resources can hinder children's access to adequate religious and moral education. Therefore, efforts to improve social and economic support for affected families are crucial. Education also needs to be strengthened in providing religious and moral understanding to children without paternal presence. Through a deep understanding of the factors affecting the impact of fatherlessness, communities and governments can develop more effective strategies to support the religious and moral development of children in such situations.

The findings are expected to serve as a reference for educators and policy makers in designing effective and enjoyable transition programs for children. The active involvement of parents in the transition process is crucial to ensure children feel comfortable and motivated in the new learning environment. The research emphasizes that synergy between educators, parents and the school environment is critical to creating a positive transition experience. The implementation of appropriate strategies to facilitate this transition is expected to improve children's readiness to face the challenges of higher levels of education and promote their optimal holistic development. Thus, the results of this study not only provide practical guidance but also strengthen the relevant theoretical basis in the context of educational transitions.

Abstract

Amid the low average literacy levels among students in Indonesia, it becomes essential to introduce various numeracy strategies from an early age. This study aims to understand the different numeracy introduction strategies for children aged 3-4 years at Kelompok Bermain Islam (KBI) Riyadl, an Islamic school focused on developing independence, interest, and capabilities of early childhood. The research employs a case study approach with observations conducted over at least three months, involving 15 children in group B1 as subjects. Data collection techniques include participant observation, interviews with parents, and documentation. Triangulation is conducted by comparing observation results with interviews or vice versa. This study concludes that educators at KBI Riyadl have introduced various innovative strategies that effectively stimulate and develop the basic numeracy interest and skills of early childhood children. The variety of numeracy activities and games, along with the intensity and closeness built by educators with the students, are significant factors in the success of introducing numeracy to young children. Additionally, the abilities and improvisation of educators, as well as the strategy of having double educators, contribute to achieving optimal numeracy introduction goals. However, this study has limitations, as it did not observe differences in numeracy introduction strategies when applied to different biological genders of students, between boys and girls. Therefore, it cannot be determined whether the impact is the same or different. The study also recommends the proactive role of parents in accompanying the introduction of numeracy to early childhood for more optimal results.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition from childhood to adulthood. At this stage of development, the younger generation must master social growth which is one of the tasks of development. When adolescents are unable to complete these developmental tasks, they feel rejected, alienated, and even equal. Children in orphanages also feel this loneliness. It's not uncommon for loneliness to make people think irrationally. REBT views equality as a result of individuals' irrational thinking. This type of research is pre-experimental research using a one group pretest and posttest design. Subjects were selected using the purposive sampling method. The subjects of this research were 5 (five) children from an orphanage with a high level of loneliness. The instrument used is a scale equivalent to the Likert scale model. Data were collected and processed using the non-parametric statistical technique Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with SPSS. In the validity and reliability test of the 20 statement items, there were 16 statement items that were valid for use with the result of the r table value at the 5% significance level being 0.2353, where the item could be said to be valid if the calculated r was > than r table. Furthermore, in the reliability test using the SPSS program, Cronbrach Alpha data was obtained with a value of 0.661, which is if the Cronbrach Alpha value is greater than 0.05 (0.661>0.05). The results of this study indicate that the significant value of asymp. signature. (2-tailed) < 0.05, namely 0.039. Thus, it is concluded that individual counseling services using the REBT approach are effective in reducing feelings of loneliness for children in orphanages.

Abstract

This study aims to improve early childhood social skills through the Gobak Sodor game. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with observation and interview techniques. The research was conducted at TK IT Al Fathaniyah, Aceh Tenggara, with 15 children aged 4-5 years as the subjects. The research process took place from May 5 to June 6, 2024. In the pre-cycle stage, only 13.3% of the children showed good social skills. Subsequently, two action cycles were carried out. In cycle I, although social skills improved to 46.7%, the success target was not yet achieved. Improvements were made in cycle II by adding small rewards as motivation, resulting in 80% of the children achieving significant social development. The research results show that the Gobak Sodor game is effective in enhancing early childhood social skills. The consistent improvement from the pre-cycle to cycle II proves that this traditional game can be an attractive and effective learning medium. This game not only helps children interact and cooperate but also increases their motivation and enthusiasm in the learning process. Therefore, the use of the Gobak Sodor game as a learning tool can be recommended to support the social development of early childhood in formal education settings.
