One of the main projects of postcolonial critique has been the recovery of losing or forgotten identity surpassed by colonial power. Postcolonial discourses urge to rescue the colonialized subjects from the trap of colonialized identity. The belief of racial defect lived out by the colonized subjects, for instance, is one of the colonial products accomplished during the time of colonialism. Therefore, deconstruction of colonized identity needs to be done in order to bring the colonized subjects to live in their own history. This postcolonial project should become one of theological agendas today that helps individuals to live confidently in post-colonial time. The urgency of Postcolonial Theology is inevitable especially when we realize that our world is recolonizing, taking in a new way: neocolonialism. Key Words:*Alienation *Boundary *Deconstruction *Home *Hybridity*Imperialism *Inferior *Colonialism *Neocolonialism *Postcolonialism *Subaltern.

The worsening environmental crisis has become one of the mostpressing global issues that all nations and peoples of the worldmust give attention to. Scientists have earlier warned us that if thistrend of ecological degradation continues, it might not take longwhen the planet earth will not be able to sustain life anymore. Thispaper argues that the root cause of the current global ecologicalcrisis is mainly theological and ethical. It goes back to the issue ofhow the biblical account of creation should be interpreted andunderstood in the light of the present ecological crisis. It suggests acontextual reading of the Bible particularly the Genesis creationaccount that takes seriously the current environmental problemthat besets mankind. Specifically, it proposes a reinterpretation ofthe divine mandate to "replenish," "multiply," and "subdue" theearth which are very often used to support the human abuse andmanipulation of the environment. This paper also seeks to showthat religion and science can substantiate and support each other'sclaims and can work together for the preservation andenhancement of nature and environment.

‘The Kingdom of God’ reflects a hidden truth that needs to be probed, disclosed and exposed to achieve its true meaning. It portrays significant as well as controversial theme in the Gospel and triggers multi interpretations. This paper investigates how philosophical hermeneutics of Paul Ricoeur can be applied on the issue of religious truth of the Kingdom of God. The significance of Ricoeur's hermeneutics lies precisely in the process when interpretation is brought 'in front of text' involving the world of interpreters and the subjectivity of the readers, namely the urgency of Kingdom as a project of faith in contemporary world or, phenomenologically, the project that involves our being as being-in-the-world. The truth of the Kingdom of God is examined through the method of Ricoeur's hermeneutic circle following dynamical levels or moments of understanding: pre-critical, phenomenological-critical and existential-post-critical. The primacy of language in Ricoeur's hermeneutics places the power of linguistic re-description; it becomes crucial in correlating the Kingdom of God as text and event. Linguistic re-descriptive power helps articulate the so-called dimensions of impossible demand in biblical hermeneutics. It reflects the inexhaustability and irreducibility of the Kingdom's inspirational power both in linguistics itself and its expressions as an action.

Food has been one of the most important foundations of human history. Food functions as a statement of the self, a classification system, a way of social interaction, and even a cultural identity that it can be interpreted holistically. Food has been one of the most important elements that shape life and the history of human civilization. It demonstrates a kind of culture that signifies the dynamic of humanity from one era to the other. The expansion of food industry has brought a great impact on the revolution of social interaction model. However, a reduction of the food value is happening nowadays throughout the food culture, seeing it as simply as nutrition and economical commodity. Hedonism triggers the view of food as a tool to conquer the human desire, which actually never ceased even after being satisfied. A sort of ‘McDonaldization’ system is considered as a grand system of living that might have significantly changed many aspects of human life in this globalisation era. The Branded Life propaganda of the food industry seems to mislead people to continue their luxurious life. The fragmentation of human’s views on food becomes one of its consequences and in turn changes human’s respect of food within its holistic picture. The discussion now covers the social and spiritual dimensions. Today, the fragmented views of food have turned into a threat to humanity, but also a great opportunity, notwithstanding uncomfortable, to highlight the missing aspects of food in the midst of contemporary culture.

Referring back to the age-old tradition of Negative Theology and combining it with deconstructive 'Heuristic Way' of French Postmodern Philosophico-Theology , this article seeks to reiterate the centrality of 'Absence' vis-à- vis 'Metaphysics of Presence'. Theology of absence is offered as a middleway between affirmative and negative theology by incorporating some basic ideasof Derrida, Jean-Luc Marion, Michel Henry, Levinas and Marc C. Tylor. In the final analysis, it is 'Life' itself that is to be the focus of theology.

Suffering is not by any means a new phenomenon for human beings. Human and suffering are of one reality in life throughout the world. In the light of religious views, the phenomenon of suffering inexplicitly affirms the position of God as central within human life. Job’s suffering in the Christian Scriptures was narrated to contradict directly the ancient laws of retribution in the Old Testament tradition. The Author of the Book of Job seems to insinuate that suffering is not so much an effect of sin as a mystery of God. God is not the cause of suffering. Job’s misfortune draws the attention of his friends who speak in line with the tradition that it is caused by his own sinfulness and to which God has rightly vindicated. Their discussions on sin and suffering did not reach an agreement, however, to the point that eventually God must conclude the debate. The issue of unresolved suffering could properly be related to the distressed victims of HIV/AIDS. This association is intended to recommend the appropriate disposition and approaches to individuals with HIV/AIDS and those who are considered ‘victims’ of the illness, since they have been infected indirectly.
