Abstract

The implementation of construction projects involves many parties in terms of interaction and coordination. In order for the owner's wishes to be realized, the owner will choose a qualified contractor to carry out the construction through an auction process. There are several factors that influence to be able to win an auction. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the winning bidder for construction services in the Buton Regency government project which covers three (3) projects at the Public Works & Spatial Planning Office, the Education Office and the Transportation Office. The object of research from the three offices is a building project. Questionnaires were given to the contractors and then the data were analyzed using SPSS, namely regression analysis, model test, F test, T test and autocorrelation. From the results of the analysis obtained three (3) dominant factors that influence the winner of the construction service auction, namely the sub-work (X2), the good relationship between the owner and the contractor (X26) and the communication system in the project (X35).

Abstract

The cost aspects of construction projects are very diverse, such as overbudget, overtime, etc. which are grouped as unnecessary costs. The concept of value engineering can optimize the unnecessary costs. Value engineering is a technique for analyzing job functions or processes to determine "best value", or the best relationship between value and cost. This study aims to apply value engineering to a school building project with a case study of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. Value engineering consist of the preparation stage, the function analysis stage, the creative stage, the evaluation stage, and the recommendation stage. The preparation stage uses the Pareto principle to find out the work of great value to be carried out. The function analysis stage is used to sort out the main and supporting materials, and calculate the cost/worth of the work. The creative stage is finding alternative materials that can replace without changing the function. The evaluation stage is carried out to calculate the latest value of each alternative material. Finally, the recommendation stage is to recommend alternative materials with the lowest costs. The need of data is the Budget Plan (RAB), Unit Price Analysis (AHS), and material data from planners who apply the value engineering. The result of budget planed efficiency is IDR244.531.582 which is 3.76% lower than total initial project’s budget.

Abstract

Due to delays brought on by force majeure, the BKS-LPD Building Construction Project required a contract change order (addendum) to give the service providers a chance to finish the work. According to earlier studies, contract change orders (addendum) have an impact on the price and timeline of the work. The aim of the research is to use the SPSS and SmartPLS tools to find out the result of the impact of the contract change ordered due to force majeure. The research method utilized consists of retesting the questionnaire's results from earlier research utilizing the SPSS and SmartPLS computer tools. The purpose of the retesting is to identify any differences between the analysis results from the SmartPLS program and the analysis results from earlier research conducted using SPSS, as well as to evaluate the precision of each statistical software. According to the results of the SPSS, the addendum significantly affects costs by 12.6%. Only by 4.9% and 0.4% did the addendum's impact on quality and time become insignificant. The analysis's results for the SmartPLS program revealed that the addendum significantly impacted cost and quality by 11.9% and 12.6%, respectively. The addendum's impact is insignificant because it is just 0.4% on time. Differences in margins or limitations on validity test requirements that are quite dissimilar in the need to qualify for each of these statistical programs lead to differences in analysis results between the SPSS and SmartPLS programs, especially in the relation of addendums to quality. Due to this, while using the SmartPLS tool for analysis, several variable indicators were left out.

Abstract

Cimanuk Road, Garut, is a road segment located in the middle of the city and is included in the trade area. Cimanuk Road has relatively high vehicle traffic activity, affecting traffic noise levels. Traffic noise can interfere with the activities of residents around Cimanuk Road, such as offices, hospitals, schools, and settlements, if the noise exceeds the specified quality standard. Traffic noise continuously occurs and, in the long term, will impact public health. Based on this, this research aims to calculate traffic volume and noise level and create a traffic noise model. The method used is direct data collection in the field and to analyze traffic noise modeling using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 28.0. The analysis results show that the highest noise value during holidays at point 1 and point 2 is 83,3 dB and 79,5 dB, respectively. While on weekdays, the highest noise is at point 1 at 81,3 dB and point 2 at 81,2 dB. The noise that occurs has exceeded the threshold, which is 70 dB for trade and service locations. The vehicle with the most influence on traffic noise is a motorcycle, with 86,5%.

Abstract

Along with the development of construction projects, many tools have been created and developed to assist and facilitate activities in construction projects. In carrying out the selection of tools, it is very necessary to plan properly and carefully according to the conditions of the project and the ability of the workers. One tool that is generally used in projects for tall buildings is the piling tool for working on the foundation. In the construction project of SMAN 14 Samarinda, the rigging tools are used, namely drop hammer and jack in pile. This study discusses productivity and several strategies to increase the duration of pile equipment. The data used is obtained from the project in the form of pile tool cycle time data. From the analysis it is known that the average productivity value of the jack in pile is 2.19 and the drop hammer is 1.20. From this productivity, the jack in pile is more efficient than the drop hammer. The use of a drop hammer was chosen because it is relatively inexpensive and the jack in pile was chosen because this method uses static pressure without causing negative impacts (noise and vibration) to the residents around the project. The piling tools used must prioritize the economic value aspects and without negative impact on the community.

Abstract

Travelers have different perceptions in determining the direction of the travel route. The purpose of this study is to predict route selection based on the fastest route by considering the variables of travel time, average speed, and the degree of road saturation. The method used consists of a combination of route selection and route weighting. The weighting of the route is calculated using the fuzzy logic of the Mamdani method by producing the lowest weight. The research was conducted in Bogor Regency with 1 origin and 3 destinations connected by 25 roads and 19 node points. The analysis carried out consists of 2 scenarios. The results of the analysis show that the routes generated based on scenario 1 and scenario 2 are different. The results of scenario 1 use the travel time and DS for origin 1 to destination 2 via node 1-10-11-7-5-6-9-2 with a weighting value of 0.186, origin 1 to destination 3 via node 1-10-12- 13-14-3 with a weighting result of 0.224, and from 1 to destination 4 via node 1-10-12-15-16-18-19-4 with a weighting result of 0.291. While the results of scenario 2 average speed and DS for origin 1 to destination 2 through node 1-10-11-7-8-9-2 with a weighting result of 0.198, origin 1 to destination 3 goes through node 1-5-6-9- 8-13-14-3 with a weighting result of 0.222, and from 1 to destination 4 through node 1-5-6-9-8-13-12-15-16-17-19-4 with a weighting result of 0.208. The program validation rate reaches 99.91%.

Abstract

Soil improvement methods can use waste materials to improve the geotechnical properties of the soil. Disposal of waste tires and waste eggshells can cause several problems for the environment. Therefore, one way to deal with it is to recycle used tires as materials for soil improvement. This study aims to determine the effect of the most optimum value on the addition of rubber powder (SK) from waste tires and eggshell powder (SCT) on clay soil parameters. The research was carried out through laboratory tests by testing index properties and engineering properties. Based on the USCS soil classification, the soil sample taken from Hambalang, Citeureup, Bogor, was the organic clay. The percentage of addition of SCT is the same for each variation of mixed soil, namely 3% with the addition of SK which is 9%, 12%, and 17%. The results show that the addition of SK and SCT can increase the internal shear angle from 24,17o in the original soil to 27,82o at 3% SCT+12% SK, increasing the cohesion value from 5,88 kN/m2 to 7,29 kN/m2. The results of the consolidation test showed that at levels of 3% SCT+12% SK, the compression index decreased from 0,19 to 0,12, and the void ratio from 0,85 to 0,55. The results showed that the addition of rubber powder and eggshell powder could improve shrinkage and increase the density of organic clay.

Abstract

This study aims to determine what environmental risk factors occur in the Wadaslintang Dam, so that assessment of these risks and risk mitigation can be done. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires. The first stage of the questionnaire was addressed to the expert to validate the existing variables. The second stage was addressed to all dam employees to see the effect of the frequency and impact of each variable. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out, validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis and determination of risk factors and categories. Risk mitigation is last stage. Based on the AHP analysis, for the positive impact all variables have a high category except for V8 (forming a new ecosystem for the surrounding area) and V11 (reducing the amount of water pollutants from the river flow above the dam) which are in the medium category. As for the negative impact, all variables fall into the medium and low categories. The variables with the highest risk values for negative impacts are V16 (methane gas emissions), V25 (water evaporation due to the size of the reservoir), and V27 (changes in river morphology). Risk mitigation is carried out by maintaining ecosystems around the dam, installing filters and monitoring water quality, reducing organic material entering the dam, installing wind breakers and regulating the flow of water out of the dam.
