This study aims to determine the levels of extracellular matrix (collagen content) at various levels of aged rats and aged rats to acquire suitable for use as an animal model of aging for the reproductive system. Experimental design used was Complete Randomized Design (CRD), which consists of 5 (five) experimental groups, each group consist of three (3) rats, which is the group one used 12 months aged rats (K12), group 2 used 18 months aged rats (K18), group 3 used 24 months aged rats (K24), a group of 4 using 30 months aged rats (K30), groups of 5 using 36 months aged rats (K36). The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan test. Decreased levels of collagen (extracellular matrix) of the uterus begin to occur in rats aged 24 months. This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with mind map on subjects IPA 3. This research is a classroom action research, consist of stages: Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. The topics are: Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the first cycle, Living Thing and Non Living Thing Component in the second cycle, and the Electric Energy Crisis in the third cycle. Instruments used are questions and observation sheets critical thinking and observation sheets of implementation of PBL model with mind map. The results showed the implementation of syntax PBL models with mind map has been good, and the average test results show an increase and most of students achieve very good in critical thinking. Castor bean (J. Curcas L.)can be used for biodiesel material as an alternative to fossil fuels. One of the problems in the cultivation oft his plant is the existence of termite pest. The purpose of this research is to identify termites species that have destructive potencial  to castor plants in KIJP Pakuwon. The research was conducted from January to December 2009. As amount of 90 observed stations  installed in this area, then divided into three blocks with of each block contained 30 observed station.The distance between each observed station was 20 meters. The termites species that had been collected in every observed station then put in  bottles containing 70 percent ethanol and identified its characteristic at Insect Taxonomy Laboratory, Department of Plant Protection, Bogor Agricultural University. Research results showed a numbers of termites species that have potencial destruction to castor plants were Macrotermes sp., Schedorinotermes sp., Microtermes spand Odntotermes sp. The research about the trial of mosquitoes as the vector of filariasis which are endemic area of filariasis in three area district of Pidie have been done from August until Desember 2007. The aim of this research is to determinate and to know how the spesies of mosquitoes becoming the vector of filariasis in the endemic area in three area district of Pidie. The research was used the exploration methods and the taking of sample was done purposively. The result of the research was founded the larva in mosquito’s body, with the infection rate is 0,91%, and based on the result of identification that have been done, the mosquito is Culex quinquefasciatus. The result catching is also founded five kind of mosquitoes that have been reported as the natural vector of filariasis that are Culex annulirostris, Aedes aegypti, Anopheles subpictus, Anopheles barbirostris, and Anopheles vagus.

The objective of the study is to evolve student achievement on the concept of spermatophyte diversity through environment-based learning. The study was conducted at MAN Rukoh Banda Aceh by implementing environment-based learning through Pre-test and Pos-test group. The population was students of class X year 2013/2014 consisting of 6 parallel classes. The sample was Class X-1 consisting of 28 students.  Data was analysed persentage and t-test. The results showed that there was significant improvement of students achievement (t-count t-table, or 2,499 2.051).  It can be concluded that there was significant increases in student achievement by implementing environment-based learning on the concept of spermatophyte diversity

The purpose of this research is to analyze skills of metacognition students of 24 State SMP in Malang City base on pre knowledge, class level, and sex category . The instruments used in this study were meta-cognition of inventory junior and rating scale of meta-cognition skill. Anava Factorial is continued with further test by differentiate test with LSD (Least Significant Different) are used in analyzing the data. The result of the study showed female students are more active than male students in questioning, answering questions and presenting the result of observation. Female students are superior in meta-cognition than male students. For students in class 8, the metacognition are lower than those who are in class 7 and class 9. Penimbunan lemak dalam darah berkorelasi dengan kadar trigliserida darah dalam tubuh. Sehingga banyak orang menghindari konsumsi daging kambing disebabkan pangan tersebut dapat memicu peningkatan nilai kolesterol. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai efektivitas infusa daun katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr) terhadap nilai trigliserida serum darah kambing kacang jantan. Hewan yang digunakan adalah 9 ekor kambing kacang jantan lokal berumur 1,5 tahun dengan berat badan rata-rata 18,77±2,43 kg. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola searah dengan tiga kelompok perlakuan. Masing-masing  perlakuan terdiri dari tiga ekor kambing yaitu kelompok I, KII, dan KIII masing-masing sebagai kontrol, diberi infusa daun katuk dosis 25 ml dan 50 ml. Hasil  analisis varian (ANAVA) menunjukkan bahwa pemberian infusa daun katuk berpengaruh sangat nyata (P0.01) menurunkan kadar trigliserida serum darah kambing kacang jantan. Rataan dan standar deviasi kadar trigiserida serum darah (ml/dl) pada KI, KII, dan KIII berturut-turut adalah 247.67±22.19; 134.67±34,64; dan 46.67±3,51. Hasil uji Duncan menunjukkan bahwa kadar trigliserida serum darah kambing kelompok dosis 50 ml dan 25 ml berbeda sangat nyata (P0,01) dengan kontrol.  Dapat dikatakan bahwa pemberian infusa daun katuk dapat menurunkan nilai serum trigliserida darah kambing jantan.

Atnda1 is one of matrix NAD(P)H dehydrogenase genes in Arabidopsis thaliana. Its function is still unclear. This is an encouragement to study the gene by disrupting the expression of the gene. This study was aimed to generate Arabidopsis thaliana possessing suppressed Atnda1 utilizing RNA interference.  Double stranded nda1-RNAi silencing was chosen for this project. The generation of the lines was started by creating specific primer for Atnda1. The creation of nda1-RNAi cassette used the Gateway cloning. We utilized Agrobacterium strain GV3101 as a mediator to transfer the cassette into the plants. Dipping the flower into Agrobactrium solution was done to transfer the nda1-RNAi cassette into wild type Arabidopsis. The seeds collected from the mutant plants were checked in selective media. Contamination was the daunting problem in the process of checking the plants. This was crucial to ensure that the insertion has been done successfully. BKL-1 and BKU-31 bacteria isolates were collected from digestive tract of kerapu lumpur (Epinephelus tauvina) and identified as Serratia marcescens biogp 1 dan Serratia marcescens respectively. BKL-1 crude protease were obtained after 27 hours incubation period in Nutrient Broth (NB) medium added with peptone 0.5%, NaCl 0.5%, lactose 0.1%, and CaCl2 0.1%. BKU-31 crude proteases were obtained in NB medium added with 0.1% skimmed milk (NBS) for 18 hours incubation period. The highest activity of proteases of S. marcescens biogp 1 BKL-1 reached after 27 hours of incubation, namely 0.002 U/ml with protein concentration 0.064 mg/ml. The proteases of S. marcescens BKU-31, on the other hand, reached their highest activity (0.064 U/ml) at 24 hours of incubation with protein concentration 0.056 mg/ml.The optimum temperature crude BKL-1 proteases were 30°C, whereas BKU-31 proteasess had the optimum temperature of 50 ºC.

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT  terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI-IPA2 pada materi sistem pernapasan di SMA Negeri I Sigli. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas  dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sigli kabupaten Pidie pada bulan Februari- Mei Tahun 2014. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah “deskriptif development”.  Subyek  penelitian adalah  siswa SMA Negeri I Sigli kelas XI- IPA6 semester II Tahun 2013/2014 berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 20 siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa butir-butir soal, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes hasil belajar dengan perlakuan dua siklus. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem respirasi kelas X1-IPA2 SMA Negeri I Sigli melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari skor dasar ke siklus 1 dan siklus II juga mengalami perubahan. Rata-rata hasil belajar meningkat dari 54 menjadi 70,50 dan 82,66. Jumlah siswa yang memenuhi KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) bertambah dari 3 siswa (10%) menjadi 19 siswa (63,33%) dan 26 siswa (90%). Pencapaian hasil belajar secara klasikal sudah melampaui 85% pada siklus ke II. Kondisi ini menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa telah berkategori tinggi. Pencapaian hasil belajar secara klasikal sudah melampaui 85% pada siklus ke II
