Abstract

Acacia nilotica is a thorny wattle native species in India, Pakistan and much of Africa. This Acacia is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical Africa from Egypt and Mauritania to South Africa. The invasion of A. nilotica has resulted in the reduction of savannah wide in Baluran National Park reaching about 50%. Presure to the savannah has a great impact on the balance and preservation of whole ecosystem in Baluran. Some efforts have been to fight against the wide-spreading of invasion of A. nilotica for example eradication chemically use Indamin 72 HC and 2,4 D Dinitropenol, but result is not effective. And so it is with eradication in the mechanic use bulldozer appliance, and cut away to burn, not yet given optimal result, proven invasion of A. nilotica in this time not yet deductible, exactly growing wide. For the reason, require to be looked for alternative is way of the other eradication, so that the wide-spreading of preventable invasion A. nilotica. Otherwise hence the possibility of big savannah exist in National Park of Baluran metamorphose to become forest of A. nilotica.

Abstract

The objectivees of this research were; to acquered of vegetation in Banda Aceh beach after tsunami, and else the research to find expression about of camposition, association, species diversity index (H’), similarity index (IS), and species distribution pattern. The stap of research were; observation and segmentation of study area. The size of study area is 420 ha, and sampel area is 10% of population. The station of sampling is (a). Ujung Batee Beach (UBB), (b). Lhoknga Beach (LB), and Ule Lee Beach (ULB). For each of sampling location a given ten of sampling quadrat with five replicatiion until of total sample is 50 quadrat. The observated variable is total species, absolute diversity, absolute frequency, and absolute dominance. The calculated of infortance value used formula is DR + FR + DMR., and calculated of species diversity index with Shannon-Wiener formula. The category of species diversity index is; if H’<1 very low category, H’>1-2 low category, H’>2-3 median category, and H’>3-4 high category. The result of this research; (a). The vegetation physiognomy in Ule Lee Beach was fundamental changed after tsunami, (b). The vegetation physiognomy in Ujung Batee Beach no significans changed after tsunami, (c). The planting of mangrove species in Ujung Batee Beach not yet optimal results, (d). Dominance of tree in Ujung Batee Beach and Loknga Beach is Casuarina equisetifolia, and Cocos nucifera, and dominance of underbrush is Calatropis gigantea, (5). Abstract

Sebaran mangrove di Kecamatan Kuta Raja Kota Banda Aceh belum merata dikarenakan belum adanya perhatian khusus dari pemerintah dan stakeholder lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran mangrove di Kecamatan Kuta Raja Kota Banda Aceh. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan survei dan observasi. Analisis data dijelaskan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian luas mangrove tahun 2004 sebelum tsunami 66,25 ha dan tahun 2015 setelah tsunami 47,9 Ha, mangrove yang ada di lokasi penelitian mengakibatkan penyusutan sebesar 18,6 Ha yang disebabkan oleh gelombang tsunami pada tahun 2004. Simpulan terdapat 18 jenis mangrove yang sudah dewasa dan tersebar di 3 titik lokasi penelitian yaitu Gampong Jawa, Gampong Pande dan Gampong Peulanggahan sedangkan mangrove yang paling dominan terdapat di Gampong Jawa. Kata kunci :  Manggrove, Tsunami, Banda Aceh

Abstract

Hutan Geumpang merupakan salah satu kawasan hutan lindung yang berada di Kabupaten pidie juga tidakluput dari praktek  illegal loging,   baik yang dilakukan secara sembunyi-sembunyi maupun secara terang-terangan oleh berbagai oknum, sehingga kelestarian hutan wilayah tersebut terus teramcam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai kearifan lokal qanun daerah pedalaman Kecamatan Geumpang Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 1 Juni 2017 hingga 30 Juli 2017 di pedalaman Kecamatan Geumpang, Kabupaten Pidie, Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian menggunakan metode etnografi melalui Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mukim, Pawang Hutan, kepala Desa dan Masyarakat 10 orang di Kecamatan Geumpang Kabupaten Pidie, Ke semua unsur tersebut diperkirakan berjumlah 20 orang, jumlah sumber data tersebut bisa bertambah sesuai dengan data-data yang terkait pada saat pengumpulan data di lapangan Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan hutan berbasis kearifan lokal terdapat pada aktivitas pengelolaan hutan, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam anjuran dan larangan, serta kelembagaan adat. Potensi pengembangan hutan desa yaitu landasan hukum, dukungan LSM Lingkungan dan lembaga pengelola hutan desa. Persepsi dan sikap masyarakat terhadap pelaksanaan menunjukkan persepsi yang kuat dan sikap yang kuat ditunjukkan oleh masyarakat di tiga gampong; Bangkeh, Keunie, Pulo Lho. Namun, masyarakat Gampong, Pucok dan Leupue menunjukkan persepsi dan sikap lemah. Simpulan kearifan lokal terancam oleh kegiatan penambangan emas dan perambahan hutan tanpa izin. Masyarakat membutuhkan ekonomi alternatif yang tidak bergantung pada sumber daya hutan. Kata kunci: Illegal logging, Kearifan lokal, Geumpang

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan lembaga adat petuah uteun (panglima hutan) dalam pelestarian hutan di Kecamatan Geumpang Kabupaten pidie. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Geumpang Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu teknik wawancara (deeply interview), observasi (direct observation) dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan Peutuah uteun dalam pelestarian hutan belum maksimal karena kurangnya kedasadaran dari masyarakat dan juga kerjasama dari pihak pemerintah setempat dalam mengupaya pelestarian hutan. Upaya peningkatan pelestarian hutan melalui peranan Peutua Uteun dengan merangkul dan bermit­ra dengan masyarakat dalam melaksana­kan pengelolaan hutan sehingga kelestarian hutan menjadi meningkat. Hasil observasi hutan di wilayah Geumpang sudah tergolong baik, terlihat dari wilayah permukiman masih terdapat hutan lindung yang sangat alami. Dari pengamatan tersebut tidak terdapat illegal logging dari perusahaan atau HPH di wilayah Geumpang. Keberadaan Peutua Uteun (panglima hutan) merupakan salah satu ujung tombak dalam menjaga kelestarian hutan. Kata kunci            : Petua uteun (Panglima Hutan), Pelestarian Hutan.

Abstract

The research was done in Baluran National Park, Banyuwangi East Java in April to June 2004. The objectives of this research were :  to determine of species composition, importance value of species, diversity index and evenness index, similarity index, distribution pattern of species, and species association. This research used the quadrat method. The determination of the species distribution was calculated using Poisson distribution formula and the determination of association was calculated using contingency table. The results of this research indicated that,  there were 20 species of the plant belong to 8 familiy. The importance value was between 0,42-59,54, and species with high importance value is Oplismenus burmanii, Axonopus compressus, and Synedrella nudiflora. The diversity index was between 1,3329-2,5271, and evenness index was between 1,5364-1,9848. The distribution pattern of species indicated that 12  species were  clumped, 6 species were reguler  and 2 species were at random. The multi-plants tend to have a clumped distribution pattern, and single plant tend to have a reguler or random distribution pattern. The of association indicated that 2 species  association which the highest tindex.

Abstract

The research was done in Baluran National Park, Banyuwangi East Java in April until June 2004. The objectives of this research are:  to determine species composition, importance value of species, diversity index and evenness index, similarity index, and distribution pattern of species. This research used quadratic method. The determination of the species distribution was calculated using Poisson distribution formula and classification of community using similarity index formula and cluster analysis. The results of this research indicated that, there were 63 species of plants including 18 families. The importance value was between 0,97-42,58, the diversity index was between 1,1504-2,7556 and evenness index was between 1,1067-1,7854. The result of classification community indicated that savanna Baluran National Park can be devided into three groups (a). Open savanna no A. nilotica stand, (b).savanna with density of A. nilotica stand 1500-3000 individuals/ha, and (c).savanna with dense A. nilotica stand > 3000 individuals/ha.

Abstract

The research was done in Baluran National Park, Banyuwangi East Java. The objectives of this research were:  to determine of species composition, importance value of species, diversity index and evenness index, similarity index, distribution pattern of species, and species association. This research used the quadrat method. The determination of the species distribution was calculated using Poisson distribution formula and the determination of association was calculated using contingency table. The results of this research indicated that,  there were 61 species of  plant belong to20 familiy. The importance value was between 0,97-55,65%, and species with high importance value is Brachiaria reptans, Thespesia lanpas, Dichantium coricosum, and Oplismenus burmanii. The diversity index was between 2,0851-3,4033, and evenness index was between 1,7199-1,9984. The distribution pattern of species indicated that 38  species were  clumped, 10 species reguler, and 13 species were at random.  The multi-plants tend to have a clumped distribution pattern, and single plant tend to have a reguler or random distribution pattern. The of association indicated that 4 species assosiation which the highest index.

Abstract

A study on Bamboo Ethnobotany has been conducted at Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar on June 10, 2010 to June 20, 2010. The aims of this study are to determine the types of bamboo and its utilization at Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar. The method used is observation. The data analyzed in this study were descriptive and displayed in figures and tables form. The parameters observed were the types of bamboo plants and its utilization by the people of Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar. The results showed that there were 6 types of bamboo at Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar, namely Bambusa arundinacea and Dendrocalamus asper, as their use for making household furniture and other building materials. The type of Bambusa vulgaris used from its bamboo shoots as a treatment for hepatitis. Types of Bambusa ventricosa and Dracaena surculosa are used as ornamental plants and home gardening plants. Type of Scizostachyum branchycladum which is used for making lemang. There are four genera namely Bambusa, Dendrocalamus, Scizotachyum, and Dracaena. The dominant type of bamboo that grows in the Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar is the Bambusa arundinacea type. Â
