Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze digital transformation in sharia entrepreneurship among students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, particularly regarding the opportunities and challenges in developing digital-based businesses. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that digital transformation plays an important role in supporting students’ entrepreneurial activities through the utilization of social media, marketplaces, and digital payment systems. Digital technology helps expand market reach, improve communication with consumers, and facilitate business transactions more effectively and efficiently. In addition, digital literacy influences students’ ability to manage and develop digital businesses. The study also reveals that students strive to implement sharia principles such as honesty, transparency, and fairness in digital business activities. However, increasingly competitive digital business competition remains a challenge in maintaining consistency in sharia business ethics. Therefore, improving digital literacy and understanding sharia business ethics are important factors in supporting the sustainability of digital sharia entrepreneurship among students.

Abstract

Changes in modern lifestyles have influenced students’ consumption patterns, including the increasing consumption of fast food and the tendency to adopt a consumptive lifestyle. These phenomena can affect students’ ability to manage their finances effectively. This study aims to analyze the influence of fast-food consumption habits and consumptive lifestyles on students’ financial management behavior. The research employed a quantitative approach, with fast-food consumption habits and consumptive lifestyle as the independent variables, and students’ financial management behavior as the dependent variable. The results indicate that fast-food consumption habits have a negative and significant effect on students’ financial management behavior. Students who consume fast food more frequently tend to spend a larger portion of their money on consumptive needs, which reduces their ability to manage finances effectively. Furthermore, a consumptive lifestyle also has a negative and significant effect on students’ financial management behavior. The tendency to follow trends, make purchases based on wants rather than needs, and be influenced by social environments and digital media makes it more difficult for students to control their spending and prioritize financial needs. Simultaneously, fast-food consumption habits and consumptive lifestyles were found to have a significant impact on students’ financial management behavior. Therefore, improving financial literacy, budgeting skills, and self-control in consumption patterns is essential for helping students achieve healthier, more stable, and well-planned financial conditions in the future.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative research employing a phenomenological approach aimed at understanding the lived experiences of pregnant women engaging in tourism activities in Sabang, Indonesia. The focus of this study is to explore the subjective meanings constructed by pregnant tourists during their travel experiences. The informants consisted of 10 participants selected purposively based on their direct experience of traveling while pregnant. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis, including coding, categorization, and the development of essential meanings. The findings identify five major themes: risk perception and safety considerations, emotional dynamics, physical challenges, the role of support systems, and the meaning of travel during pregnancy. The results indicate that the tourism experiences of pregnant women are multidimensional, influenced by physical, psychological, social, and destination-related factors. This study contributes to the development of tourism studies, particularly in the area of pregnant tourism, and provides practical implications for developing more inclusive, safe, and pregnancy- friendly tourism environments.

Abstract

The development of the Indonesian capital market, as reflected in the movement of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), is one of the main indicators often used in making decisions regarding stock investments. Students, as a young generation beginning to understand the world of investment, have varying views regarding the influence of JCI movements on their investment decisions. This study aims to evaluate the views of students in the Sharia Economics Study Program at the Raden Fatah State Islamic Institute in Palembang regarding the impact of JCI movements on their stock investment decisions. This study employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document searches with students who already understand or are involved in stock investment. The data obtained were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. This study shows that most students consider the JCI to be an important indicator for monitoring the condition of the capital market and the Indonesian economy. JCI movements are one of the factors considered in making investment decisions because they are considered to provide an overview of market trends, risk levels, and profit opportunities from investments. However, students not only pay attention to the movement of the JCI, but also take into consideration various other factors such as financial literacy levels, fundamental company analysis, the national economic situation, information from the media, and advice provided by the investment community. The findings of this study indicate that students have a fairly good understanding of the role of the JCI in stock investment, but there is still a need for increased capital market education to help them make more rational investment decisions based on adequate information.

Abstract

Abstract

Digital transformation through the growth of e-commerce has become one of the key factors in helping small businesses in Indonesia grow, especially in expanding market access and improving transaction efficiency. On the other hand, the lack of access to appropriate funding sources remains the main obstacle in supporting the development and sustainability of small businesses. Bank syariah offer an alternative that is based on fairness, transparency, and partnership, but how effective it is depends a lot on how business people feel about the products and processes they offer. This study aims to thoroughly examine the role of e-commerce and the perception of business owners regarding the effectiveness of Islamic bank financing in increasing income and the sustainability of small businesses. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of small business owners who use e-commerce and access Islamic financing. Research results show that using e-commerce has made a big difference in increasing sales volume, expanding market reach, and improving business operations efficiency. Besides that, positive perceptions of business actors towards Islamic bank financing, especially regarding the ease of procedures, profit-sharing system, and alignment with Sharia principles, influence the level of use of such financing. However, there are still challenges such as low financial literacy in Islamic finance, limited information, and the perception of complexity in financing products, which hinder the optimal use of these services. Overall, the combination of using e-commerce and access to Islamic bank financing, supported by increased understanding and business literacy, has been proven to boost income and strengthen the sustainability of small businesses in the long term.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of verbal and nonverbal communication in improving the effectiveness of business communication within organizational environments. Effective communication is an important factor in supporting coordination, decision-making, performance improvement, and the achievement of organizational goals. This study employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through a review of various scientific sources, including books, journal articles, and academic publications relevant to verbal communication, nonverbal communication, business communication, and organizational communication. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the concepts, functions, and roles of both forms of communication in supporting organizational activities. The findings indicate that verbal communication plays a role in conveying information, instructions, and policies clearly and systematically, while nonverbal communication reinforces message meaning through facial expressions, body language, eye contact, tone of voice, and appearance. The integration of verbal and nonverbal communication has been proven to reduce misunderstandings, improve coordination, build trust, strengthen workplace relationships, enhance customer service quality, and increase organizational productivity. In the digital era, organizations need to integrate face-to-face communication with technology-based communication to maintain communication effectiveness. Therefore, the ability to manage verbal and nonverbal communication has become an essential competency in improving business communication effectiveness and supporting organizational success in facing the dynamics of an ever-evolving business environment.
