Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between business ethics and sustainability business in companies that establish partnerships with the public sector through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The background of this study is based on the increasing pressure on companies to not only pursue economic profit, but also pay attention to social and environmental responsibility, especially in the context of collaboration with government agencies. This study examines 16 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, obtained from the Scopus database. The analysis shows that the application of business ethics principles such as transparency, accountability, fairness and integrity has a positive correlation with the success of sustainability initiatives. Collaboration with the public sector reinforces the urgency of implementing ethics, given the demands of regulatory compliance and higher social expectations. In addition, business ethics serves as a foundation for building trust between parties, which is key to long-term sustainability. This study recommends the systematic integration of ethics into business strategy, as well as the need for public policies that encourage sustainable business practices through ethical and responsible partnerships.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resources (HR) on the export capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with digital competence as a mediating variable. The study focused on two MSMEs producing crafts, namely the producer of Bola Tumbuh Pot (Bobupot) Green Galeria Indonesia from Surabaya and the producer of terracotta pots UD Gerabah Merah from Malang. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis technique. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 97 respondents who were employees of the two MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The quality of HR has a positive and significant effect on digital competence with a path coefficient of 0.683 (p <0.001); (2) Digital competence has a positive and significant effect on export capability with a path coefficient of 0.572 (p <0.001); (3) The quality of HR has a direct effect on export capability with a path coefficient of 0.317 (p <0.05); (4) Digital competence is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between HR quality and export capability with a partial mediation effect of 0.391 (p<0.01). This study provides theoretical and practical implications for HR development in the MSME sector, especially in increasing export capability through the development of digital competence.

Abstract

The contemporary marketing landscape emphasizes the importance of brand image and brand equity for competitive advantage. Viral food, fueled by digital technology and social media, presents a unique context where Word-of-Mouth (WOM) significantly influences consumer perception and purchase decisions, subsequently shaping brand image and equity. While existing research explores WOM, purchase decisions, brand image, and brand equity individually, a gap exists in understanding their integrated roles within the viral food phenomenon. This study addresses this gap by employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to investigate how different forms of WOM and consumer purchase experiences uniquely contribute to the brand image and equity of viral food. Furthermore, it examines the strategic role of marketing efforts in leveraging WOM and influencing purchase decisions to build strong brand image and sustainable brand equity in this dynamic environment. This research aims to develop an integrated conceptual model and provide valuable insights for marketers in managing viral food brands and capitalizing on their often-fleeting popularity to build lasting brand equity. The findings will contribute to both theoretical understanding and practical application in the context of managing brands within temporary trends

Abstract

The mastery of scientific writing is a critical academic competence for university students, yet conventional instructional approaches often fail to address the diverse learning needs within higher education settings. This study aims to develop a differentiated learning model tailored to enhance students’ scientific writing skills. Employing a design-based research methodology, the model was iteratively tested and refined in undergraduate classrooms. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction by accommodating students’ readiness levels, learning preferences, and interests significantly improves engagement, self-efficacy, and the quality of academic writing. The study contributes to pedagogical innovation by offering a structured and adaptable framework for writing instruction in diverse academic environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of market orientation and government support on the export performance of coffee Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Dampit region of Malang, and evaluate the mediating role of market orientation in the relationship between government support and export performance. The approach used was quantitative with survey method and path analysis to test the relationship between variables. The sample of this study amounted to 107 export Dampit coffee MSMEs. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and SEM-PLS. The results showed that market orientation had a significant effect on export performance, while government support did not show a significant direct effect. However, government support was shown to significantly influence market orientation, and market orientation significantly mediated the relationship between government support and export performance. These findings reinforce the Resource-Based View (RBV) perspective, that the competitive advantage of MSMEs in the context of exports depends not only on external support, but also on the internal ability to understand the market and adapt to global dynamics. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of export entrepreneurship literature and offers practical implications for MSME actors and policy makers in designing market-oriented competitiveness strengthening strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development and trends in research on capital budgeting in Indonesia from 2015 to 2025 using a bibliometric approach. Data were collected through a systematic search of the Scopus database using the keyword “capital budgeting” focused on article titles, abstracts, and keywords. A total of 127 documents meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed descriptively and visualized using VOSviewer software. The results of the study show a fluctuating publication trend, with the highest peak in 2024. The United Kingdom and the United States are the countries with the largest publication contributions, while Indonesia still shows limited contributions. Co-authorship analysis reveals low connectivity between authors, whereas co-occurrence analysis identifies the keyword “capital budgeting” as the primary hub connecting various topics, including the cost of capital, corporate governance, and NPV. Overlay and density visualizations also reveal that the cost of capital is a relatively new topic with potential for further development. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of the dynamics of capital budgeting research and identify research opportunities that remain open, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract

The need for a good understanding of economic growth and human capital as a measure of human development is an important concern in national development. Both sectors play an important role in formulating economic development policies and human development as a whole, as evidenced by Indonesia. Therefore, this article empirically analyzes the contribution of economic growth to the human development index in Indonesia. Linear regression analysis of panel data through the Redundant Fixed Effect Model Test approach and the Hausman Test is used to test the extent to which the panel data estimation model can explain the effect of economic growth on human development in Indonesia. These two approaches produce a Fixed Effect Model that shows that the effect of economic growth contributes strongly to human development in Indonesia. Economic growth has a positive and significant impact on the Human Development Index. During the testing period, economic growth showed an increase and a positive direction towards human development, even though the economy was in a state of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Indonesian economy continues to grow strongly in the face of various conditions, including the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as human development continues to show an increase, as evidenced by the human development index, which continues to increase.

Abstract

The tourism sector plays a significant role in the Indonesian economy, both in terms of added value, foreign exchange earnings, and as a job creator. The panel data linear regression method is used to determine the effect of the tourism sector on labor absorption using panel data for 10 years of time series data and 41 cross-sectional data from districts/cities in three provinces in Indonesia. This quantitative research method using secondary data shows that cultural, ethnic, and linguistic diversity is a great potential in tourism development, while the creative economy sector has the potential to be a locomotive for increasing labor absorption. However, on the other hand, tourism is also one of the sectors most vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

In education, digital transformation is accompanied by the need for new teaching media innovations to address the challenges of inadequate technical skills among accounting education students, particularly regarding the use of spreadsheets for financial statement preparation. This study aims to develop class multimedia textbooks in the form of spreadsheets integrated with QR Code videos and test their validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing student understanding and skills. This utilizes a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product was developed with text and visualization, supplemented by video tutorials accessed through QR Codes to enrich the learning experience. The textbooks were determined to have a very high level of purported validity through expert validation. Significant classroom implementation showed strong positive effects on student learning outcomes alongside positive perceptions toward ease of use and effectiveness. This research enriches the literature on the development of technological learning media in accounting education and demonstrates innovation in integrating print and digital media. Furthermore, this innovation supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which aims for high-quality, inclusive, and adaptable education in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).
