Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to examine the function, characteristics, and correct methods of Ruqyah Syar’iyyah in addressing non-medical illnesses, with a focus on its relevance to contemporary mental health challenges. Methodology: Using a qualitative approach, this research applies library-based analysis, drawing on classical Islamic texts, contemporary scholarly works, and relevant empirical studies. Sources were selected based on thematic relevance, credibility, and alignment with Islamic principles. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify core functions, procedural characteristics, and ethical guidelines of Ruqyah Syar’iyyah. Main Findings: Findings indicate that Ruqyah Syar’iyyah serves dual roles as therapeutic and preventive therapy for physical, psychological, and spiritual ailments. When combined with complementary practices such as cupping or herbal remedies, it shows increased efficacy. The practice emphasizes spiritual integrity, adherence to Islamic law, and active patient engagement. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research provides a structured framework linking Ruqyah Syar’iyyah with modern mental health discourse, highlighting its potential as a culturally grounded, faith-based therapeutic approach. It also offers an operational guideline for practitioners based on Qur’anic and Prophetic traditions.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of implementing health education with the think pair share learning model on the knowledge and attitudes of school-age children regarding vegetable consumption. Methodology: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-post test approach. A sample of 40 fourth-grade students was drawn using a total sampling technique. The independent variable was health education using the Think Pair Share model, while the dependent variables were knowledge and attitudes. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with α≤0.05. Main Findings: The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test statistical test show that health education with the think pair share learning model can influence children's knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.000). Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research lies in the application of the Think Pair Share learning model in health education to improve school-age children's knowledge and attitudes toward vegetable consumption. This approach has not been widely used in the context of child nutrition, thus providing an innovative contribution to effective and participatory health education methods.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to see the influence of health education about reproductive health on students' level of knowledge. Methodology: The research sample used was 24 people using a convenience sampling technique. The method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Data collection used a questionnaire as a research instrument. The data analysis technique used was the Wilcoxon test. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that students' knowledge before receiving health education had an average value of 81.9%, and after receiving health education it increased to 86.3%. The results of the hypothesis test with an alpha error rate of 0.05 obtained a p value > 0.05, meaning there was no significant difference in adolescents' knowledge before and after receiving health education. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research presents a novel approach by in-depth examining the influence of health education on improving adolescents' knowledge of reproductive health using a contextual and interactive educational approach. The focus on adolescents in the digital age makes these findings crucial for developing more relevant, responsive, and sustainable school intervention strategies.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of health education using audio-visual media on mothers' knowledge about stunting in toddlers. Methodology: The research was quantitative, using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 34 mothers with toddlers in Sitardas Village. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that the average score of mothers' knowledge about stunting before health education using audio-visual media was 6.12 and after health education using audio-visual media, there was an increase in knowledge of 9.18. Based on analysis using the Wilcoxon test, a p-value of 0.000 was obtained, which means there is an effect of health education using audio-visual media on mothers' knowledge about stunting in toddlers. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research is novel in that it examines the effectiveness of audiovisual media in health education for mothers regarding stunting in toddlers. The use of interactive media provides a more engaging and understandable approach, potentially significantly increasing mothers' knowledge and becoming a more effective educational strategy at the community level.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study was conducted to determine the influence of environmental and health awareness on people's pro-environmental behavior. Methodology: The subjects in this study were 203 residents of Tondo District, Manila, Philippines, selected using non-probability sampling and accidental sampling techniques. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to test the validity of the measuring instrument, and Multiple Regression Analysis was used to test the research hypotheses. Main Findings: The results of the study indicate that there is a joint influence of environmental awareness and health on the pro-environmental behavior of people living in Tondo District, Manila, Philippines. The results of the minor hypothesis test indicate that general belief, personal attitude and health self-monitoring have a significant influence on Pro-environmental. The results also show that the proportion of Pro-environmental variance explained by all independent variables is 26.9%, while the remaining 73.1% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in its integrated examination of environmental awareness and health as dual predictors of pro-environmental behavior in society. Unlike previous studies that focused solely on the ecological or health dimensions, this research offers a holistic perspective, highlighting how shared awareness influences people's sustainable actions in their daily lives.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To determine the effect of health education through animated video toward mother’s behavior with infant aged 6-12 months to prevent stunting through the provision of complementary feeding. Methodology: This study employed pre experimental design with the one group pretest post test design. There were 20 respondents involved in this study which were selected by using probability sampling with simple random sampling. The data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed by using parametric test praid T-Test. Main Findings: The finding showed that there was an effect of health education through animated video and mother behavior. Good Mother behavior in providing complementary feeding in infants aged 6 months could decrease the risk of stunting. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers novelty by integrating animated health education videos to strengthen mothers’ attitudes toward appropriate complementary feeding practices. Unlike previous studies that rely on conventional counseling, this research demonstrates how visual–digital media can enhance maternal understanding and behavioral readiness. The findings advance knowledge by highlighting animation-based education as an effective, scalable intervention for improving infant nutrition practices.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to assess the extent to which the Adiwiyata Program has increased student awareness of cleanliness, sustainability, and environmental management through various activities involving the entire madrasa community. Methodology: This research employed qualitative methods with a case study design. Data collection involved field observations, interviews with madrasah principals, teachers, Adiwiyata administrators, and students, as well as documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Main Findings: The Adiwiyata program improves students' hygiene habits, waste sorting, plant care, and the implementation of the 7K culture. Teachers and students actively participate in green house activities, waste management, and crafting from used materials. Key challenges include low discipline among elementary school-aged students, a lack of sanitation facilities, and a lack of hygiene habits at home. Solutions are implemented through group guidance, additional self-development hours, and financial support. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides a detailed overview of the process of developing environmental awareness in elementary school students through a consistent, sustainable program involving the entire school community. The findings illuminate the real challenges at the early childhood level and offer implementation strategies that can serve as models for other schools to strengthen Adiwiyata-based environmental education.
