Abstract

The criminal justice system is a law enforcement mechanism aimed at achieving legal certainty, justice, and the protection of human rights. This study aims to examine: (1) how the *dominus litis* principle should be reconstructed regarding the prosecutor's authority in koneksitas cases; and (2) the certainty of the prosecutor's authority as the Public Prosecutor in relation to Article 170 of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) within the context of koneksitas cases. This study employs a socio-legal (juridical-empirical) research method. The study concludes the following: (1) The dominus litis principle serves as the legal foundation for the authority of the Public Prosecution Service within the criminal justice system, positioning the Public Prosecutor as the authority responsible for determining the viability of referring a case to court based on valid evidence. Thus, the dominus litis principle ensures a fair, consistent, and accountable prosecution process, as reinforced by the KUHAP. (2) Prosecutors hold the position of case controllers (dominus litis), as affirmed in Article 18 paragraph (1) of Law Number 11 of 2021 concerning the Public Prosecution Service of the Republic of Indonesia, which designates the Attorney General as the supreme public prosecutor. However, the practice of handling koneksitas cases such as a murder case involving a prospective Indonesian Navy non-commissioned officer still reveals a separation of judicial proceedings between civilian and military perpetrators; this creates legal uncertainty and fails to reflect the optimal application of the dominus litis principle by prosecutors.

Abstract

Criminal law enforcement aims to achieve legal certainty, justice, and the protection of human rights through the criminal justice system. However, the practice of using illegally obtained evidence such as evidence secured through torture, intimidation, or procedural violations persists, even though the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) mandates that evidence be obtained lawfully. This study aims to foster the transformation of Indonesia’s criminal justice system into one that is modern, civilized, and dignified a system where the truth is sought not through illicit means, but through transparent and accountable processes. The study employs a normative juridical research method, analyzing the law as a system of norms. The findings lead to the following conclusions: (1) The regulation of "exclusionary rules" within Indonesia’s criminal evidentiary system fails to provide legal certainty regarding illegally obtained evidence. Consequently, a revision of the KUHAP is required to explicitly regulate the application of exclusionary rules, thereby ensuring legal certainty, justice, and the protection of human rights. (2) The exclusionary rule principle aims to bar the use of illegally obtained evidence in order to protect human rights and guarantee a fair trial. Therefore, explicitly incorporating the exclusionary rule into the KUHAP is an urgent necessity to ensure legal certainty, justice, the integrity of law enforcement, and the protection of human rights.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed communication patterns in family life, including for couples in long-distance marriages. Separation by distance and time can limit face-to-face interaction, making the use of digital media crucial for maintaining communication and closeness between couples. This study aims to analyze the role of digital communication in building effective family communication and identify communication strategies and barriers in long-distance marriages. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The results showed that WhatsApp, voice notes, telephone, video calls, and social media were the primary media used by couples to communicate news, share activities, convey personal messages, provide emotional support, and resolve issues requiring more in-depth explanation. Digital communication plays a role in maintaining communication continuity, emotional connectedness, openness, and mutual support even though partners are in different locations. Communication strategies are implemented through routine communication, openness, empathy, responsiveness, and media selection according to message needs. Barriers identified include network limitations, busy schedules, misinterpretation of messages, and limited nonverbal expression. Research findings show that the effectiveness of digital communication is not only determined by the use of technology, but also by the couple's ability to manage communication in an open, adaptive, and responsive manner.

Abstract

The issuance of land title certificates often entails legal consequences not only for the titleholders but also for parties whose interests are adversely affected. Consequently, this study further examines the regulations governing the resolution of disputes involving multiple certificates for the same land ownership under Indonesian land law, as well as the specific resolution of such a dispute as adjudicated in District Court Decision Number 18/Pdt.G/2018/PN Nab. A normative-juridical research method was employed. In principle, land dispute resolution can be pursued through two avenues: litigation (court proceedings) or out-of-court settlement; the resolution of the multiple-certificate dispute in District Court Decision Number 18/Pdt.G/2018/PN Nab was found to be consistent with applicable legal principles and the facts established during the trial.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study aims to analyze the financial performance of Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Peduli Sehat Tuban during the 2023–2025 period based on solvency, liquidity, and profitability ratios. Background: Financial performance needs to be evaluated periodically to determine the cooperative's ability to manage assets, liabilities, and capital and to fulfill short-term obligations. Research Methods: This study uses a comparative descriptive quantitative method with secondary data obtained from the cooperative's financial statements for 2023–2025. The analysis was conducted by calculating and comparing the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Current Ratio (CR), Quick Ratio, Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE). Findings: The results show that DAR increased from 30.24% in 2023 to 38.73% in 2024 and slightly decreased to 38.10% in 2025. The Current Ratio decreased from 306.18% in 2023 to 235.82% in 2025, while the Quick Ratio decreased from 299.36% to 233.57%. Despite the decline, both liquidity ratios remained above 100%. Profitability also tended to decline, with ROA decreasing from 1.61% in 2023 to 0.92% in 2025 and ROE decreasing from 2.31% to 1.49%. Conclusion: The cooperative's financial condition remained relatively good in terms of liquidity and solvency, but profitability tended to decline. Abstract

Literacy practices in early childhood education (ECE) have expanded from approaches primarily emphasizing readiness for conventional reading and writing toward broader views of literacy as meaning-making and communication through language, text, images, symbols, movement, objects, play, and technology. Nevertheless, early childhood literacy research remains fragmented between emergent literacy perspectives focusing on oral-language and code-related skills and sociocultural/multimodal perspectives emphasizing meaning-making, identity, participation, and child agency. This review maps how literacy is conceptualized in ECE research, identifies literacy domains and learning experiences, examines adult mediation and spaces for child agency, and develops integrative principles for developmentally appropriate literacy practice. The study is designed as a systematic literature review reported with reference to PRISMA 2020. The preliminary search covers empirical articles published in Indonesian and English from 2020 to 28 August 2026 through Google Scholar, ERIC, Garuda, and DOI/publisher cross-searching. The preliminary synthesis matrix includes 23 empirical reports from international and Indonesian ECE contexts, representing shared/dialogic reading, storytelling, sociodramatic play, emergent writing, environmental and playful literacy, digital storytelling, multimodal assessment, and e-picture books. Five overlapping domains emerged: oral-narrative literacy, print/code and emergent writing, play-embedded literacy, multimodal/embodied literacy, and digital/new literacies. The synthesis suggests that meaning-making and foundational literacy skills should not be treated as competing agendas. Strong literacy practices connect conversation and narrative with attention to print and symbols, enable drawing and emergent writing, embed literacy in play and everyday activity, and use digital resources selectively with pedagogical purpose. Child agency expands when children move beyond answering adult questions to choosing, creating, negotiating, and transforming representations. The review proposes the MELPA-ECE Framework (Multimodal Emergent Literacy through Play and Agency), linking literacy domains, representational modes, experience contexts, adult mediation, child agency, and developmental outcomes

Abstract

Developmental activity strategies in early childhood education (ECE) encompass diverse approaches, including guided play, pretend and role play, interactive storytelling, inquiry, project-based learning, STEAM, learning centers, and nature-based learning. Although each approach has been widely investigated, existing literature commonly evaluates single strategies in isolation and therefore provides limited cross-strategy understanding of how teacher roles and child agency shape learning experiences. This review maps pedagogical strategies used in ECE, examines teachers’ roles and levels of child agency across strategies, identifies reported developmental outcomes, and formulates design principles for holistic developmental activities. The study is designed as a systematic literature review reported with reference to PRISMA 2020. The preliminary search covers empirical journal articles published in Indonesian and English from 2020 to 28 August 2026 using Google Scholar, ERIC, Garuda, and DOI cross-searching. The preliminary synthesis matrix contains 21 empirical reports representing guided play and play-responsive teaching, storytelling and pretend/role play, inquiry and inquiry-project approaches, project-based learning, STEAM/makerspaces, learning centers, and nature-based learning. Initial synthesis indicates that developmental outcomes depend not merely on the strategy label but on the pedagogical interaction structure: goal clarity, meaningful child choice, teacher responsiveness to initiatives, scaffolding, dialogic quality, flexible materials and environments, and ongoing assessment. Strategies balancing intentional teaching with child agency were reported to support engagement, language, early numeracy, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, socio-emotional development, and autonomy. The review proposes the ECE Strategy–Agency Continuum (SA-ECE), positioning developmental activities across teacher-directed, guided/shared, and child-initiated modes and linking these modes to teacher roles, child agency, learning environments, assessment, and developmental outcomes

Abstract

This article examines social media marketing strategies that can strengthen brand engagement and influence purchase decisions among Generation Z consumers. The study uses a qualitative literature review to synthesize findings from twenty scholarly publications on social media marketing activities, consumer brand engagement, influencer marketing, electronic word-of-mouth, brand trust, and Generation Z purchasing behavior. The synthesis indicates that effective strategies are not limited to promotional exposure; they depend on the quality of interaction created between consumers, content, influencers, and brands. Five strategic dimensions emerge as particularly important: entertaining and interactive content, authentic and informative storytelling, credible influencer partnerships, user-generated and peer-to-peer content, and personalized social commerce experiences. Brand engagement functions as a central mechanism through which social media activities are translated into stronger attitudes, trust, brand preference, and purchase intentions. The literature also shows that credibility and authenticity are increasingly important because Generation Z consumers evaluate commercial messages through social comparison, peer communication, and perceived relational closeness. Accordingly, brands should move from one-way promotional communication toward participatory, transparent, and community-oriented strategies. The article proposes an integrated strategic framework in which social media marketing activities stimulate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral engagement, which subsequently supports purchase decisions. Future research should test the framework across platforms, product categories, cultures, and longitudinal consumer journeys.
